I called Dial Leo on 6/8/2026 to request a quote to replace a variable-speed blower motor, as Gilmore Heating and Air informed me was required for my air conditioning to be operational. Gilmore quoted me $3,068 as a preferred customer. I told them no thanks. Dial Leo, who originally installed my Trane 16-Sehr unit in 2019, requested that I provide the serial number and model number located inside the furnace, and that he would acquire the variable-speed blower motor. His quote for labor and the part was more than reasonable. By 6/9/2026, after about an hour of working, my air conditioning was up and running. I do not know any business that is that expedient and guarantees its work. Dial Leo is fair, hardworking, and reliable. I will only contact Dial Leo for servicing and maintenance going forward. Don't let corporate businesses upsell you; just call Dial Leo! read more

I want to say thank you to Leo and his crew for repairing our HVAC duct. Due to a water heater failure, which is installed next to the HVAC unit in the garage, we found out that there's water in the duct. I dialed Leo and a team crew member showed up the next day to diagnose the issue. They found out that we need to replace the old water heater as it was leaking. Once we replaced it, one of Leo's team crew members showed up and fixed the duct. Thank you, folks. read more

I 100% trust Leo to give a great rate and respond rapidly every time. He installed my hvac system over a decade ago and was by far the best price. Now it's 4th of July weekend and my condenser needed a new starter and it's 112 outside. He was here in less than an hour with the part and saved the day. read more

My A/C broke in triple digits weather... Dialed Leo and he was here within an hour, another hour later my A/C was running like new! Very professional and knowledgeable. Went above and beyond and gave tips on how to make sure the unit runs smoothly. Thank you! Will recommend to family and friends. read more

My air conditioner went out on a triple digit Holiday weekend!!! i called a few places and they couldn't come out for weeks and most didn't answer! I Dialed Leo and he was here within an hour and fixed my air conditioner and checked out all my vents. His prices and service were amazing! I will never use anyone else again. if you want great service and prices I highly recommend him! read more

Our Ruud air conditioner failed during a hot Sacramento weekend in August 2018. On Monday morning, at the recommendation of a friend, we first called a larger, well-advertised HVAC firm in town and was told that it would take three days before we could be "squeezed in" for a visit and that we would be charged $120 just to diagnose the problem. After looking through Yelp, I found a Leo, who is highly rated and only about five minutes from our home. Gave him a call and he was at our home within three hours. Leo and his associate were pleasant and very professional. Within an hour he had figured out the issues and provided a reasonable estimate to repair. The unit was fixed under an hour after that. We've enjoyed happy cool air conditioning since and are very happy. We will probably need to replace our HVAC unit within the next few years and we will give this company the first opportunity for that business. We are happy to recommend Leo! In our case, he really knew his stuff and got us up and running very quickly, which is a necessity in the Sacramento summer! read more

I called Leo because he is local to Antelope and had great reviews. He was at my house within 2 hours and quickly diagnosed my A/C problem. I was not surprised when he told me my 25 yr old unit needed to be replaced. He and George showed up at my house very early the next morning and worked all day to remove my old unit and install a new one. They were very professional and two of the most hard-working people you could ever meet. I highly recommend them and definitely would use them again. read more

Dial Leo is the best. He fixed my HVAC airflow issues. He's fair, he's honest, he's as fast as he can be and he does what he says he will. Your best bet for an Amtelope air tech. I'm reviewing this 6-years from my last experience. Consistent & awesome! read more

Excellent service. Fair and truly honest, reasonable prices. Work completed with exceptional results. I would not trust anyone else.

Leo saved the day yet again! Today is the second time Leo has done a great job! I first called him last year when our AC broke mid summer, Leo came by 30 minutes later and repaired the unit and did some maintenance. We called him again today after noticing our heater blowing cold air, freezing all night, and our utilities doubling in price. He was here the same day and quickly and efficiently fixed the heater and reinstalled our thermostat. The service is great and the prices are very fair! Would recommend!! read more

I'm glad I looked on the Good Neighbors of Antelope Facebook group, because several people recommended Dial Leo. Leo returned my call in 5 minutes and was at my house within 30 minutes. But that wasn't the best part. Having a serviceperson in your home can sometimes feel awkward, but Leo was extremely friendly and professional. Although we have an ancient unit, he didn't pressure us at all to buy a new one, recommending winter as a good time to buy. I appreciated his honesty and patience in explaining how to help our AC run better. And he's local to Antelope! You won't regret calling Leo. read more

Very nice and came out after hours to help get our AC running on a hot night. His price was the most reasonable for coming out, diagnostic, and repairs. I would definitely recommend him to anyone! read more

Fast response, great prices. Reliable and very friendly. Would recommend to everyone and will be the only hvac company we use.

Hired Leo a year ago to replace an old ac/heating unit on one of my properties. Still very happy with their professionalism, quality and price. Shopped around, the closest quote came in 2.5 times higher than Leo's. I am very happy with these guys. The owner is great as well, personally came out to do quality control. read more

Wow! It's hard to describe a business and its owner that stands out so greatly against other companies. Dial Leo Heating and air conditioning service is by far the best service you will ever get. His professionalism, knowledge, expertise and his ability to work in perfection is second to none. I can't find anyone that I could trust my heating and air conditioning repair or if I need a new air conditioner that I can trust, except Leo. I will continue to recommend his service to everyone I know and to those I don't know. You couldn't find a more trustworthy and honest HVAC repair person anywhere then Leo. He diagnosed the problem, he was fast and very affordable. But as far as I'm concerned, it was his service and his attentiveness to perform in excellence. When you meet him he comes with a smile on his face and a great demeanor that is warm and caring. All I can say is this, " you've seen the rest - now go with the best!" I assure you you will not be disappointed. We have called out many HVAC companies in the past but we will look no farther than Dial Leo Heating and Air for all our heating and air needs. Even more so, is that he is gung ho on making repairs so you'll be in comfort as fast as possible but at the same time you just want to shake his hand or give him a hug has he is quite the gentleman! Thank you Leo for all you've done. Have never known you from this date but will always remember you and call you when we are in need again and will recommend you to everyone! read more

Leo and his team saved our family from freezing last week. Our furnace died and he came out the next morning to diagnose the problem and quickly recommend a solution. The issue turned out to be pretty catastrophic and we needed a new unit. Because we have little kids that obviously don't do too well in the cold, he shifted his schedule and got his team out here to install new heating and A/C units within 48 hours to make sure we had heat as soon as possible. Leo and his team are very hard working, knowledgeable, honest, and dependable. Our family trusts Leo with all HVAC-related repairs and would highly recommend him to anyone in the area. read more

Leo came out today to fix my furnace when nobody else could make it out (coldest day of the year) ....I left messages with many and they never even called me back but Leo and his son George came out within the hour and diagnosed my problem (blown capacitor) within the hour and I had heat once again! I highly recommend Dial Leo read more

Leo was punctual, informative, and very friendly. I called him as our furnace was not lighting and he quickly determined the cause to be the thermostat. Leo didn't do a quick look, say what the issue is and leave; he took more time to ensure and verify that his diagnosis was correct and could not be a different issue. He explained how my system was supposed to work, what my system was doing, and how to fix it. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone and I will be calling Leo again for future service needs. read more

My air conditioning was running at 80-81° while being set at 78 and was during the triple digits about three weeks ago. I had a friend stop by and who said to me you know I thought you got that fixed. I had a major company come in and I paid an enormous amount of money but they obviously didn't fix anything. So I gave Leo a call and he came that evening right after he finished all his scheduled appointments. He actually fixed the AC within minutes. He left me his number, said call me if anything goes wrong. I'll be back in about a month and I'll check everything out again. I have never looked back and I've never dropped below 78°. I highly recommend Leo to anybody who is dealing with triple digits and working with other companies. He is so professional. He does a very thorough job and he makes sure that everything is working properly. THANK YOU, LEO! read more

Our AC went out during one of the hottest days in Sac. Leo answered the phone right away, and scheduled a time to come out to assess the problem. He did an assessment on the AC unit. He temporarily fixed the problem, then ordered the right parts, fixed and replaced everything within a week. Very professional, responsive and respectful. He is on my speed dial for all AC matters. read more

Leo came out to my house within an hour of my call, on Memorial day, because my A/C would not turn on. He took a look at my central A/C unit and got it up and running quickly. I asked about the possibility of replacing the 20 year old unit and Leo had reasonable prices, and a great timeline. He was willing to start the install the following day. I committed and could not have been happier. Leo acquired the permit, performed the installation, and oversaw that everything was complete. His attention to detail and commitment to his work is a very admirable. After the installation was complete, Leo confirmed that I was happy with the quality of his work. He followed up with me the following week to remind me/confirm that I got the required inspections and everything was satisfactory. One of the greatest quirks of Leo's business model is that you pay him one amount and it covers all parts, labor and permits of the project. There are no other fees. Leo walks you through the entire inspection process to make sure that every detail of the project is complete. Thank you for a great install Leo! read more

I called Leo at 6p tonight air conditioning not working we were miserable. Happy by 8p air conditioner working fixed tonight so pleased with his work and professionalism. He explained to us about maintenance and the unit that we have which is information that will keep us from dishing out more $$$$. His price was fair especially for coming out on Saturday. Thank you again Leo and George read more

I called today for an appointment as soon as possible because our AC died on us yesterday and Leo was able to come same day. We were so happy because it's the 90's outside and we do not want to be hot another day cause last night was horrible. Anyway, he was very professional from the moment he knocked on our door. I actually had a different company come out earlier and didn't care for them because the person didn't look confident in what he was doing or saying. After that company left I called around and came across Leo. I love how quick he was able to come out and we love all the way in North Natomas. He did so many other little things that the other company didn't. He really tries his best to really see the problem with the unit before anything major. He said we will need a new compressor which is what the other company had said as well but Leo gave us an option he said we can replace it or he can repair it in a way that will help keep it alive a little longer. We chose the repair for now and it's working. He's so affordable the diagnostics was only $55 other company was $79. Do not go with Jaguar GO WITH LEO. He's definitely earned our trust and a customer that will definitely call him when something comes up. We will also recommend him to people we know. Thanks LEO! read more

The A/C went out at our barbershop in 100+ degree weather and I called them at 7:30 pm in a panic. Leo was gracious enough to commit to checking it out first thing in the morning. He was professional with his communication and keeping me informed. He and George diagnosed the problem promptly and got us back up and running within hours! I will definitely be using them again and would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

Leo worked on my a/c today and I am very pleased! He is very nice and diagnosed the problem very quickly. I saved over $150 using his company and I like the way he gives repeat customers credit and discounts in the future. I will definitely be calling in October for a heater tuneup. Thanks Leo! read more

my AC unit went out a couple of weeks ago when it was 105 degrees, I called Leo based upon yelp reviews and he exceeded my expectations! I doubt he could be as fast and efficient every single time, but in my case, I called him and w/in 3 hours my AC was working and his price was very reasonable, he also provided tips on getting the most life out of my unit. I'm very thankful for Leo and would not hesitate to call him again in the future. read more

Leo was recommended to me by a handy man about 5 years ago when the heater in my previous home stopped working in the middle of a cold spell. He does charge a reasonable service call fee for any initial on-sight visit, but he also gets you in very quickly. For that particular incident, he identified the bad part on a very old furnace and told me in all honesty that he would have a hard time finding the part and suggested that he can show me how to replace it myself if I can find it online - which I did, and only got charged the initial service call fee. Since that time, he has come out 3 more times and always in a very short time. A few days ago I started running my AC in my newer home for the first time this season as we approach 100 degrees in Sacramento. An excessive amount of water was pouring out of a drain that I did not notice last year. I reached out to Leo at 5PM and he started responding and scheduling me in. When I sent him a picture and description via txt he realized the water was coming from an emergency drain and that it could cause damage if the main drain is not working quickly. He had someone at my door step in about an hour! Even on the first really hot day of the season! They verified the problem and ran some compressed air in the primary drain to unclog it. The problem was fixed by 7PM and they charged a reasonable amount for the work. They also didn't mind showing me the drain and gave me the knowledge to look out for and fix the issue myself in the future. I will continue to use Dial Leo and recommend him. I'd also like to point out that unlike other contractors or vendors, Leo has never asked me to provide a review. Thank you Leo! read more

I've dealt with Leo in the past and had no issues; however, recently, and unfortunately I have to say his behavior was unprofessional and just plain rude. In the past, he came out to repair my air conditioner. He started on it and then sent one of his assistant's following to complete the job. I called him recently to look at my heater because it wasn't working Properly. When he came out, he brought his son with him who appeared to want to be anywhere else but where he was at. Anyway, he looked at my heater and informed me I needed to buy a new one because the one I had no longer worked. He also turned off the valve to the heater to be on the safe side until I repaired it. Well actually, he told his son to do it which his son looked a bit surprised and then I heard Leo telling his son what to do and where to apply a sticker etc. His son had to go up in my attic to do this. So I was a bit concerned hoping that his son did it correctly but I would of had more peace of mind if he would of done it and I should of mentioned it to him. So, then I asked him to check my air conditioner to ensure it worked and he said no to call him back towards summer time to do so? So it's getting hot and I call him the other day to look at my a/c and he tells me to go ahead and run it that it should be fine without seeing it. Well guess what, it didn't work and it started up prior to his visit. I call him to tell him my a/c doesn't turn on and he tells me to call someone else because he's sick with the flu. Not happy with Leo's service or treatment of me. Perhaps I was treated this way because I didn't purchase new heater through his service.. read more

Made an appointment for this morning. He sent a text to let us know he was on his way. We explained the issue and after examing the system, Leo came back with his solution and quote. Very efficient and explained what he was doing. He left detailed quote on minor issues that can be assessed another time. Very pleased!!! read more

Leo was absolutely wonderful. I called him after try out another HVAC company that I felt was trying to take me for a ride cost-wise. I called him Thursday morning and he was at my house by Thursday afternoon. In the time it took the other contractor to find my problem Leo had fixed the problem and charge less than half of the "estimate" of the other guy -- who by the way was another highly reviewed person on Yelp. After months and months of of getting different AC guys telling me that there is nothing wrong with my system when AC was running non stop and not cooling the house, I finally got my system working properly! Leo spent so much time diagnosing the system , looking at every possible cause of potential problem. I was very impressed with all the tests he performed. He fixed the wrong wiring on the heat strips. Heat strips was energizing during AC cycle which caused higher temperature air flow from the vents. Now i'm finally getting the expected results from my system. I'm never using anybody else for any AC issues I may have. No more $300 bills in the summer! Thank You read more
