DLS has actually moved to the Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center at 46-047 Kamehameha Highway, Suite 12...between Safeway and Longs. There's more parking, but also more competition for parking because of the retail customers. It's more convenient since one can do banking and shopping as well as dining before or after blood testing! The staff are very efficient, friendly, and professional. If you have to wait, it won't be long because there's a good variety of reading material on the table in the corner. Just take a number and get your ID card and health insurance card ready for photocopying. This is a more pleasant, brighter, and bigger space than the previous location. It seems cleaner and newer! Note: This lab used to be next to Benjamin Parker Elementary School, near the Police Station and across from the Fire Department.

I hate blood tests! There...I said it. I dread it when the doctor hands me that slip and tells me to go and get a blood test. I think it's memories from my childhood coming back and haunting me...you know the needles...and the pain... Now that I'm grown up, I know a lot of it has to do with how good the technician is. The not so good ones will hunt and fish around for a vein and it can be painful. When it's a good technician, their skill is so good that you don't really feel a thing...honest! I had to fast for the scheduled blood test that my doctor wanted me to take so I couldn't do it right after my appointment. I took home the form and luckily, I knew there was a Diagnostic Lab in the neighborhood....convenient! I figured I would go in on Saturday morning as I've heard there's a lot of people that go in before they go to work on the weekdays. Anyway, I headed off to Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center on a Saturday, about 8:30 in the morning (I know they open super early, like at 5 but I like to sleep in a little on Saturdays). There was only one person in the waiting area so I guess my wait wouldn't be long. I took a number and within a few minutes, my number was called. Theymade a copy of my HMSA card and I was off to the back with the tech. She was very nice, very polite and friendly. After I settled in, I offered my right arm for the blood to be drawn from. She tied it off and cleaned the area. I kind of cringed when she got the needle out (I know...scaredy cat...lol) as I really didn't know what to expect...is she good or will she be bad? It was suspenseful. The needle went in...relief set in. It felt just like a pinch....she was a good one! The blood was drawn, the tubes were filled and the gauze was placed and taped. No lollipop or sticker? Nah...just kidding! It was a good experience. I felt that they were very professional at this location and everyone I dealt with was very friendly and polite. I can't really say that I want to go back again...lol but if I have to do another blood test, they're conveniently located and I hope I get the same tech.

If MD Order sent to one DLab location, can I use any location? Will one location transfer orders to another DLab branch?

Giving blood is not the most fun I could be having on a Saturday morning. But yet, I find myself…read morehere because my doctor had ordered it. Oh, fun. This Clinical Labs of Hawaii is on the ground floor of the Kailua Medical Arts Building. It is across the street from Uahi Grill. There is metered street parking and a metered lot you can park your car. If you are lucky, have someone drop you off because there has been many times that I needed to wait or park further away when it was busy. Today, I was dropped off and walked right in. There was no one at the desk, so I stood slightly behind the chair so someone would notice that a client had walked in. I waited about 5 minutes before someone came out to grab my paperwork, but I saw that there was a special blood draw happening. It was a small child and the staff was doing their best to make sure everything was the best it could be for the kiddo. I know I should have minded my own business, but I couldn't help but notice the care and comfort they were giving to the child. It was actually pretty awesome. I had a perfectly awesome time myself, considering how many vials were taken from me. I was offered to choose what arm (didn't matter) and the staff member kept up the chatter to distract me from what was happening. I am not really bothered by blood draws, but it was nice to see that some people still care about your possible anxiety. As for my time here, it was as good as it could get. I was in & out in timely manner. I felt like they did care about my well-being. For future reference, if my doctor(s) ask me to go get blood drawn, I will definitely come back to this Clinical Labs. 85

It just doesn't get better, you can ignore the note above from David T, as I contacted Julie-Beth…read moreAko as he asked. First lesson in Customer Service -why don't you reach out to the customer instead of telling them to reach out to you? Anyhow, she sent me the below note. I didn't hear anything, so I sent my list of billings to Medicare and lack of billings to TRICARE and she said she'd look into these and get back to me on Friday the latest. Well it's second Friday a week later and have not heard anything. No phone calls no follow up. No nothing. This is very indicative of a business that you want to stay completely away from. Would rate it zero stars if that was possible. "Hi Mr. Singer,   Thank you for your email response. I'd like to try and resolve the issues you had with regard to our invoicing, and wondered if you'd be available for a phone call. If so, would you please provide me with your phone number and suggested times of the day that may be better than others at which to call you? I've included one of Operations Directors Fred Jacobs on this email to ensure we respond to your concerns.   Thank you,   Julie-Beth ("JB") AkoVice President, Finance | Clinical Labs of Hawaii   CLINICAL LABS OF HAWAII / PAN PACIFIC PATHOLOGISTS, LLCP 808.679.4237 | M 808.443.8819 | A 99-193 Aiea Heights Drive, Aiea, HI 96701 www.clinicallabs.com"

GPS took me to the correct location, so it should work for you. They have a parking garage on the bottom of the building. The parking attendant seemed pleasant and helpful when I asked what floor they're located. It's a $1 per half hour if you get your ticket validated. They're located on the 2nd floor in the back. There's two other windows before them when you get off of the elevator. It was clean and quaint inside, with an informational wall. I came before they close at 12:10pm on a Tuesday. I was the only person there and there were two people working. They were knowledgeable and pleasant as well. The guy took my lab orders, insurance card, and ID card. He scanned it then told me to enter the vicinity. He strapped my arm up and drew my blood for my test results. I have very tiny veins and he got a flow with one crack. I was in and out in less then 15 minutes, I didn't even have to pay for parking because I was still within the grace period.

My grandma is handicap so it was really difficult trying to get her to go up the stairs since it's located on the 2nd floor. Besides that, the workers at DLS were kind and efficient! It wasn't busy at all so we were in and out of there in about 10 minutes. Quick and fast location but downside is the elevator if you're handicap.
