The receptionists were terrible and rude. They never get back to you and book appt at the wrong locations. This happens multiple times.

I was a little skeptical of all the 5-star reviews. But after my first session with Dr. Vijayakumar…read more(aka Dr. V) today, I'm enthusiastically joining the 5-star parade. In less than 30 minutes, Dr. V listened to me, examined my foot, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He carefully cut out some deep and very hard callouses (caused by a lot of hiking in fairly rough terrain), with the immediate result that I could walk without pain or a limp for the first time in weeks. Just as importantly, he gave me a lot of practical advice about various things I can do to prevent a recurrence. And he assured me that, if there is a recurrence, I can readily schedule another appointment with him to fix it again. I only wish all medical problems were this fixable, and all medical practitioners were this competent. Hooray for Dr. V!!! I enthusiastically recommend him for treatment of your foot problems.

My dad is 82 and needs his toenails clipped regularly. He missed his last appt so today his nails were super long. Dr. Huey is incredibly patient and gentle and isn't (visibly) grossed out by my dad's feet and fungus issues. The staff here are also very friendly. I love Dr. Huey's shoe collection. It's much bigger here than the Berkeley office. He says patients just keep giving him shoes. There's some beautiful glass ones, enamel, a recent one from Thailand. And he's not a shoe snob either, there's plastic wind up shoes in the collection too.

Sometimes babies are born with, or develop flat spots around the back or side of their head. Their…read moreskull is still soft and growing, and sleeping too much on one side can cause this. Having flat spots don't impact brain development, and its more of a cosmetic issue when the baby gets older. To correct this, our pediatrician recommended physical therapy and helmet therapy. Helmet therapy isn't as scary as it sounds. The orthotist, Bobby Smith is great with kids and explained the process well. First the child's head is scanned with a STARscanner to develop 3D and 2D profiles of the head. They then develop a helmet for your child to eventually wear 23 hours/day for several months. You have dozens of cool colors and designs to choose from! Follow-up appointments every 2 to 4 weeks for rescan. I'm happy to see that for about a month, my son's flatness level decreased from "severe" to "moderate." Hopefully after a month or two it'll be in the "normal" category. The helmet isn't too bad for babies and they seem to get used to it quickly. Occasionally, you'll need to take it off for a few minutes if there's too much itching. The other aspects of helmet treatment are: * Protects the baby against falls when they sit too long or bump when on their tummy * Their head butts are going to hurt you more, so watch out * Surprisingly they sleep incredibly well with the helmet - perhaps because the head is well cushioned. * Provides extra head warmth - great for fall and winter but not for summer.

My child was evaluated for a cranial remolding helmet. Bobby was great at explaining the process,…read moreand the office staff was a pleasure to work with. The room where we saw the practitioner was decorated in welcoming child friendly theme. I received a call to approve my share of cost before anything was ordered, and our order was filled within a couple weeks. I highly recommend this office!

He's really honest and will not try to upsell you on things - he's very focused on making sure you get the right orthotics to fit your needs. He also is great at explaining the mechanics of the feet and your body so you can think holistically about what you need. I highly recommend him!!

Glad to report that it worked fantastically for me. I have had zero foot discomfort since using them. I am an avid tennis player (4-5 times a week) who was experiencing occasional plantar fasciitis. I have low arches and would also get pain/soreness from just standing upright for a few minutes. I had been using Superfeet insoles with mixed results. I called and was able to get in the same day. The appointment was fine, he doesn't rush you, he seems like he knows what he's doing, he's a nice person etc (but honestly I only care about results, if the orthotics work or not). One set of orthotics was $200, plus $20 because I needed a cushion. I bought two sets, and he discounted the second set to $170, and didn't charge for a second cushion. So in total for 2 sets it was $390 (plus tax). Superfeet insoles cost about $50 and last 6 months, while these theoretically last forever and were much more effective, so it seems like a good deal to me. I paid with HSA. Overall, I'm very happy with the results, and am glad to be pain free.

I have had prescription orthotics approved before from another place but since I was referred here by my doctor I wanted to go and check. Absolutely WASTE OF TIME. I came in approx 15 mins before my appointment and I had to wait additional 45 min to be seen (red flag #1), also on their form it is asking me to sign to pay $500++ on orthotics if not covered (red flag #2). Then when I saw the 'clown' doctor he basically said "probably with my insurance it is not covered. He said they take digital measurements of my foot and I asked if I can take that measurement of my own foot to another place and he said no. So, my insurance will probably be charged for that darn digital measurement of my own foot BUT i cannot take it with me to another place to get it done less than their darn $500++. So, I left in dismay and know and behold they text me the next day to come back because insurance approved!! Heck-No! Why cannot they check before I went? Why is pre-authorization not possible. I think this place if full of clowns. Just wanting to suck money from insurance. This is not my 1st time to go here. 1st was when I went for 2nd opinion for a foot surgery. I should have not gone back 2nd time when I was referred again. WASTE OF TIME. Go some place else. Not good service. Not good care.
