This is the second time in a year that I have received flowers from this local florist. The first time the hydrangeas were very sad and droopy when they were delivered. I called the florist, spoke to the owner. He didn't apologize- said they were fresh when they left the store. (10 mins from my house) He told me to remove them from the arrangement a give them water (to liven them up!) The Valentines arrangement that I received a few days ago - after two days has dead tulips, sagging roses and droopy flowers! I always add fresh water and the 'flower food crystals' - I am once again not happy with the flowers I received from Dhuns. I have to assume that they are the local florist assigned to deliver flowers - internationally - as my son lives in West Africa. I would never go in to this florist to order flowers! read more

Terrible, I placed a delivery on an order for a beautiful light arrangement and got a totally different arrangement, they gave no care. Not one apology and only offering me to drive the arrangement back and they will arrange as "I" want. The arrangement didn't even have white flowers absolute disgrace. I'll show pics and I won't be rude and disclose of our back and forth texting. Terrible. The arrangement was not worth the money I originally paid. I had boughten an arrangement for mother's day and first off but not even the worst part about it it did not even come at the scheduled time it was supposed to. I ordered it for 9am and they said it would be here then. Then they texted me saying how it's going to come later and I told them I would be at work so I could not have it then. I texted them saying 4:30 for the new time and he agreed to the time. Then I get a call saying how my flowers have been delivered at 2:30. I was not even home at the time and that is 2 hours before the time they said. Next which is the worst part, they gave me an arrangement that looked absolutely nothing like the picture. It was not even the same bouquet. The flowers were already bloomed and some were dead and when my mother called Dhun the person who owns the business was the most rude and inconsiderate person possible. He did not try and make anything right and ended up just hanging up on my mom. DO NOT ORDER and flowers from this business it seems all they want to do is scam their customers with their high prices and extremely low quality service. 0/10 I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service and a good product. I was sent a Birthday bouquet from a family member. It was mostly carnations and not at all birthday colors. The filler was from bushes and succulents. The container had remnants of a 99 cent only store sticker so obvious they used cheap products. I can only image how much you gouged the sender for this bouquet. Received a Mother's Day arrangement from Dhuns that was ordered through 1800Flowers by my daughters. I sent a photo with my thank you and my daughter saw that the arrangement lacked the amount of flowers they paid for. 1800Flowers agreed to a partial refund and she was satisfied. I knew nothing of this. Mother's Day morning, Dhuns Florist called and said they were picking up my arrangement. They said the order was cancelled and to leave the flowers on the porch. They said new flowers would be delivered Monday. For some reason, I did as he asked and he did pick up the flowers. When no flowers came on Monday, I called 1800Flowers. There was no record of new flowers being sent as they agreed to a partial refund and thought the matter was handled. So Dhuns was being spiteful collecting the flowers and they put me in this awkward position between the gift giver and recipient. Bad business! read more

I bought a flower setting through FTD. The flowers lasted less than three days before drooping and dying. This is not the quality that I would expect from having sent a significant number of flowers through FTD. when I tried to rectify the situation I was hung up on multiple times through FTD, and my calls here didn't get an answer. This was a special bouquet for my girlfriend which was meant to brighten her day and last a week to 10 days which is the norm for this type of arrangement. Instead these droopy sad flowers act like nothing but a poor reflection of us being apart. To say I am disappointed is an exceptional understatement of epic proportions. I recommend staying away from FTD & this florist due to quality and customer service. I am including my dials to FTD and the original and then drooping flowers. Ordered the most expensive flower arrangement, they delivered to my girlfriend she sent pictures and looked nothing like what they promised, I finally got a refund from the 3rd party. These a holes seriously went to my girlfriends work the next day and picked them up and was really rude about it, she said she asked what was going on the guy literally took them off her desk and threw them in the back of his car not even a delivery van. This company is a JOKE. They left a package at the front office when it was supposed to be delivered to a specific apartment. I called the guy and told him we don't accept packages at the front office and that it needs to be delivered to the apartment. The guy then tells me its their policy not to deliver the flowers to the apartmemt and that they don't enter the buildings...well genius you entered the building to leave the flowers at the office counter. Rude, and unprofessional. He also mentioned he has been in the business for 40 years. Well I highly suggest you take some customer service classes or try pizza delivery since they're able to actually get the package to the correct door. Better yet, just close your doors and get out of the flower delivery business... 40 years lol. Lastly, I took a look at the flowers and they definitely weren't fresh. Makes sense you you have a rating of 2.2 on Yelp. Hopefully this sinks it even further. read more

With just 2 days to go before our 40th wedding anniversary we discovered that we never ordered the flowers! Yikes! They had to be roses of specific colors (peach and white) to replicate our '80's wedding. After calling around to many florists with no success, Dhuns Poway Florist said they could do it. They made a special trip to the wholesale flower mart to obtain the peach roses, the next morning and delivered a BEAUTIFUL arrangement tom our door exactly when they promised. read more

Very poor quality. Flowers were wilted when they arrived, the lilies and roses never opened...the whole thing looked sad and thrown together. My husband ordered the bouquet through an online retailer and obviously they picked this place because they can make a profit, with no regard for the quality of the product. I ordered a flower arrangement from 1-800-flowers and they had this florist do the work and deliver it. The arrangement looked nothing like what I spent $75 on. I contacted 1-800-flowers to let them know that what I received was not what I paid for and they said they would have it re-delivered at no cost to me. Again, this florist made the arrangement, only thing he did different was change the roses from pink to white. This was a gift for my daughters 21st birthday and I wanted to send her an arrangement that was special. I specifically chose them because of the lavender colors and the beautiful full bouquet. What she received was something I could have purchased from the grocery store and not worth the $75 I spent. I contacted the florist to talk to him about his arrangement not being the same as the photo and he basically told me that the picture online was like a glamour photo and they can not make them look the same. I sent him pictures of what I was expecting and what was received and he didn't see anything wrong with it. My daughter also said that when they were delivered it was very awkward, he asked for the original arrangement back, took the flowers without telling her where the new arrangement was and just left. My daughter said that the flowers were already wilting when she received both of them. I have contacted 1-800-flowers regarding his work, I even sent them photos. They didn't seem to care either (that will be another unhappy review) If I could give zero stars I would have but you have to choose a star. This florist definitely lacks customer service skills and sees nothing wrong with his work. He just kept telling me that there's no way to make the arrangements look like the photos, that is all done by photography. My sister ordered flowers for me on my birthday and spend almost $100 after delivery and taxes. They said they would be delivered on my birthday and were a day late (I do understand that people are sick and those things can happen) but then when I got them they looked like WEEDS. Just a couple daisys, one sunflower, one red rose that had cracked browning petals, and the rest filler greens. Don't order through them! My sister complained to them and they did nothing. HORRIBLE experience. I will NEVER purchase flowers from them again!!! I placed an order for Mother's Day flowers to be delivered to my mothers place of employment on 5/10, when I saw the picture of the arrangement she received it looked nothing like what I ordered. I called 1-800-Flowers to let them know and they told me they would deliver them again on the same day. They told me they would be delivered by 3pm so I called again since it got closer to three and no delivery yet. Upon calling back I was then told that they would be delivered on Monday 5/13 which is after Mother's Day, I was so upset that I was mislead and lied to and when I asked for the name of the agent I was speaking to I hung up. This floral shop does a horrible job. When I called the flower shop they didn't care. Then they called my mom and were extremely rude and told her to go pick up her flowers since she's closer. Maybe in person experiences are better than the experience they give their customers who have ordered from 1-800- flowers but i guess I'll never know because I will never order from this place again. To start off the delivery person did not knock on my door he literally almost knocked it down. You'd think there was a police raid about to happen with the way he was banging on the door. I had ordered an expensive $91 bouquet of flowers for my moms birthday and the product delivered was not at all what the picture looked like. I sent in a claim and received a call from "Dennis" at Dhuns Florist, who said he wanted to speak about the issue. When I called he told me that he had the right to substitute flowers and then proceeded to hang up on me. When I called back he kept saying "hello, hello" as if he couldn't hear me. He then began complaining about how he does not get paid for these arrangements we order. He then claimed that my order had been canceled which makes no sense at all and he used this as his excuse for not giving me a replacement. It's so disappointing knowing that you ordered a beautiful product only to be met with some mediocre creation. She has been there for me through my "learning curve" in my new position as "Client Loyalty Manager" here at work and as a gesture of comforting my anxiety she ordered a gift basket from a website that sub-contracted the deal to Duhn's Florist in Poway. The experience was anything but plea sent. Do NOT use this company for your gift delivery needs. Delivered on the wrong day, delivered the wrong gift basket, was rude to my wife, my co-workers and my when we attempted to resolve the issues. My wife ultimately has been promised a full refund from the main website she ordered from, but the representative from Duhn's Florist was argumentative, rude and attempted to involve me, the recipient of the gift in the whole mess. This man beat on my door today, like there was a fire, with flowers for someone that doesn't live here. He gave me a hard time, asked me my name...which is not the person the flowers were sent to and left the flowers on my doorstep in spite of me telling him not to. I called & spoke to him, told him again, I am not the person the flowers were sent to & that he needed to pick them up. He kept asking for that person's phone number....what on earth?? I ended up having to hang up after reiterating that he needed to call the people that ordered the flowers & work this out but until then, pick them up from my doorstep. Although they delivered it on time, the arrangement looked nothing like what I ordered. Nothing! It looked like something I would come home with from the local grocery store. Some relatives from back East ordered a large wreath for my Mothers funeral service. The flowers were drooping, wilted and looked terrible. I was embarrassed to have the arrangement in view. I called Dhuns Florist as their card was attached. The owner blamed the mortuary and then went on to tell me that it was a $250 arrangement and his shop only received $90. I can only assume that he contracts with a large online florist and that is his take. I don't really know why he even pointed this out to me since it should have no bearing on the condition of the arrangement that he delivered to my mother's service. He never apologized and only blamed the mortuary. Very poor customer service! read more

I would give them less than 1 star if I could. I received an arrangement from Dhun's that only lasted 3 days before it was completely wilted. I did not call in immediately because I was sick and the floral arrangement was not a top priority. When I did call 10 days after delivery, they had no interest in redelivering and offered nothing. When I explained I was sick and unable to attend to this sooner, they said "Well maybe if you had called within 3 days." I explained that it wasn't bad until after the 3rd business day had ended.The florist blamed the supplier and said he would have them call me. They never did. It's especially ironic and I decided to do this review because I received a simple $8 bouquet purchased at a Ralph's store 2 days prior and that bouquet is just now starting to wilt 20 days after. It had a blank card. So i call and ask who should i thank for my flowers. He says in a very rude way that he doesn't have time to look it up. When the flowers arrived they were the wrong color, baby tulips (so small the vase over shadowed the flowers), some were already wilted!, they supposed to have plastic around each tulip. It was completely the opposite of the picture they had posted in the website. I wish I could post a picture of this, they would never get business thru Yelp again. Find another florist don't waste you money here. We received an expensive arrangement of fresh flowers including roses mixed greens and wild flowers. It looked nice (not great, little imagination) for about 3 days. On the forth day the roses were dead, other flowers wilted and the ferns turning brown. All Florest know how old their flowers are and to use old flowers is simply dishonest. Upon calling to notify the manager I found him to be dismissive at first then he reluctantly offered to send out a dozen roses. I declined as an arrangement was what was purchased and I was firm that the same should be replaced. Ultimately he agreed but was rude and hung up on me. So move on find another Florest. read more

Got an arrangement as a gift so I'm not sure what they paid. 9 roses in a vase red, white and yellow. The white roses were dead and turning brown on the edges when the arrangement arrived and petals began to fall the next morning. Since this arrangement was ordered by someone from out of town perhaps that made a difference in the freshness of the flowers chosen. read more

Trying to order online has been a headache especially with flowers. So when I looked at Google for flowers in Poway I tried Dhuns Florist. I ordered a dozen roses that would be arranged to fit my Mom and Dad's 40 year anniversary. I called them directly after making the purchase online and they explained the arrangement pretty well. It made me excited and when my mom and dad took pictures of it, I was amazed! The flowers were on time and my mom and dad were calling me immediately. The fresh flowers and bright red roses were everything I've wished for. I've had some bad experiences with flower shops but this one made me believe that there are still amazing flowers shops. Their customer service was also good, they were patient, kind, and pleasant to work with. If I could only give it zero stars. Ordered flowers thru 1800FLOWERS. Driver went thru a side gate and delivered to a back bedroom door instead of front door and a startled my 72 year old mother. Called to say they'd been delivered. Rude. Argumentative. Flowers that were delivered were not as ordered. Had brown flowers throughout the bouquet. Well, this is sort of a late update but needed to be updated. So I went yet again to get a boutonnière for my prom. I called the shop to request what I wanted and the owner answered very rudely. He actually yelled "WHAT?" Many times (I guess he couldn't hear me) than hung up. Called him again and he sounded a bit normal. Went to go pick up and it was just eh. My boutonnière was already wilting and the place looked even worse than before. The floors are these hideous green color and it just looks really dirty. While the prices are really cheap, I wouldn't recommend this place UNLESS you get like a corsage or something small for prom since I wouldn't trust them for anything bigger than that. read more

This was the worst customer service experience we have ever had! We received (or were supposed to receive) flowers, a balloon, and chocolates for Valentine's Day from my father-in-law as a gift, which he ordered from 1800flowers.com. The day before Valentine's Day (which I get is a very busy time for a florist, and thats ok), they delivered generic flowers (with lots of green fluff and not many actual flowers) in a vase with a teddy bear on the vase and some chocolates. I thanked the delivery guy and when I got inside and read the card, I noticed it was to someone else and from a name I did not recognize. We immediately ran out to the delivery guy's car and explained the situation, and he took at least 5 minutes to show me that those were our flowers, but that that must just be the wrong card. He showed me the delivery name on his list and everything and insisted we keep those flowers. So we did, and after we called around, we figured out who they were from. My father-in-law mentioned there should be a balloon for my daughter, but oh well, no big deal..its a busy day. We left for the day and when we got home, there was another vase on our door, with 5 roses (and a lot of green fluff) and a big red balloon. There was a note on the vase...and by note, I mean a CVS receipt for toilet paper with writing on the back....saying there was a delivery mixup and to call them immediately. So we called, thinking they were just going to apologize for the mixup, but no...they said they mixed up the delivery and asked that we leave the original flowers outside for them to come pick up the next morning. We thought that was pretty weird, but said ok fine whatever and thought "poor person who is going to get flowers a day late". The next day (Valentine's Day), we honestly forgot to leave them outside and went about our day. When we got home there was another note on our door saying to call immediately about hte mixup. They also called our cell phone and left a message asking to call back. We did not return the call cause we thought it was rude and we were gone most of the day. Fast forward to now Monday, Feb 15th, we get another voicemail and ANOTHER note on the door saying to call....did I mention that these flowers were A GIFT and we have a newborn baby and they keep knocking on the door?? So we call back and they yell at us for not putting the flowers outside and tell us that its our fault that someone didn't get their flowers for V-day (mind you, the flowers are now pretty much dead and I could pick prettier ones from my backyard). We explained how we tried to give them back immediately when they were first delivered and they told us to keep them and this isnt our fault. They continued to yell at us and demand they be left outside. We asked why would they give 3 day old flowers to someone else and why is it such a big deal,a nd they said they just need the vase (which had a tiny teddy bear on it). We finally agreed, out of frustration and not wanting them to bother us anymore. We put it outside and they picked it up on Feb 16th. The most annoying situation ever and the worst customer service!
