I have found this to be extremely annoying as I an still employed and cannot just drop everything when the doctor wants to change the time from 4pm to 1pm the day of the appointment. The woman who calls about these changes is very condescending and offhand. This is the only reason I am giving this review four stars instead of five. Having said that, I have had good care from both the clinical cardiologist I saw [Dr. Jorge Navas] and the cardiologist who actually did the procedure to insert stents and balloons [Dr. Donald Kikta]. They both explained everything to me before and after the procedures. Dr. Kikta did more than was originally planned for the procedure I was having because he saw the need once he began working. I also have kudos for the nursing staff at the Morton Plant Cardio and Vascular unit who took care of me before and after the procedure. Thanks and a big shout out to Melissa G., Jodi H., Mike and Lineta. You made a difficult day much easier for both my daughter and me.

Upon arrival, about 15 minutes before our 11 am appointment, we were informed that the doctor was running about 1 hour late. There were folks grumbling through out the waiting room and I must admit, I was beginning to rethink our cardiologist. It is hard to wait so long when it has taken so much out of my loved one to get there, and just by being in a cardiovascular surgeons office, you know every patient there has some sort of hardship. They really did get us into the office about 1 hour late and as soon as the doc came in, it was clear what was happening. Dr. Fernandez is one of the old fashioned docs who wants to know his patients and take the time to explain all options when dealing with heart conditions. He listens to every question and makes sure that you understand the answers he is giving you. I wish the scheduling staff would take note on how long the doctor visits each patient and start scheduling some catch up time in the schedules so that those who are there on time, don't have to wonder how much more time they must wait to see their doctor.

This guy has ZERO compassion, ZERO communication skills and has not business treating anyone but patients that are under anesthesia. I took my mom to see him after her stroke. He was her cardiologist while she was in Morton Plant. He was the first doctor we could get in to see after her discharge. (her primary doc retired and we have another week before we can get in to establish with her new Primary Care doc). She's having so much anxiety about having another stroke, frustration because the anxiety causes extreme fatigue and she's short of breath. She can't eat, she's not doing her therapy exercises. His response? "Well your heart looks good. That's all probably from anxiety. You should see someone about that." Not one iota of compassion or understanding. Just another arrogant doctor with a God complex and a "how dare you question me" attitude. If you're looking for a doctor who will treat the PERSON, not the organ, this guy is NOT it.

I called in early December after noticing I had extremely high blood pressure. His office staff said they could not get me in until January. I asked to be put on a waiting list but they said they had no way to do that! REALLY! I Wonder if they ever heard of a Pencil and a Pad? It's an amazing tool, you write down a name and number, and if someone cancels you find the paper and call the next name on the list! AMAZING! Then after waiting until early January, at 6:00pm the night before my 8:00 appointment they called to cancel the appointment and put me back in the queue. Thanks but NO Thanks! If I die as a result of this you can blame Dr. Kovach!

Everyone takes the necessary time to provide me with a superb echocardiogram experience. Although I was greeted by a most congenial receptionist at the registration desk, I must say that it was the actual testing performed by a staff member, only known to me by her Armenian/Ukrainian heritage, that pleased me most. She has a pleasant talking voice. Knowledgeable skills were clearly on display throughout the entire testing process. Dr. Jesse Klein, DO, who treated my heart attack back in 2020 displays an extremely high level of professional expertise, combined with a consistent caring attitude. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

When this test was scheduled, we warned that surgery was 2 days away and the report needed to be expedited. We were assured this was doable. AT 5:00 pm THE NIGHT BEFORE SURGERY were told many others had called on our behalf and got voice mail or non answers so we found OURSELVES trying to locate the report , unaware of the processes or handoffs between the two facilities . In desperation, we asked for help from Sandy, executive assistant to Adam Rudd , largo medical CEO . She reported --the next day--that she was only able to "leave a message" as well. If the CEOs office can't get results, does that Tell you something? Without this report and no clearance, our long planned/ awaited surgery was cancelled. Afterwards , we wrote both facilities to try to find the point of failure to prevent another patient from this experience, due to some lost report, in pain for another month. The Heart Institute seemed somewhat aware of THEIR role in the dropped ball yet both institutions pointed fingers, lacked interest in resolving. Why not more concern over So many disrupted schedules , many medical personnel hours and resources wasted from canceling an 8 hour surgery the night before? Or how about any empathy or apology for the patient and family forced to reschedule, re-test, waiting in pain? We specifically emailed the Largo medical CEO Adam Rudd 3 times between 1/30/22 and 2/1/22, while being assured by his assistant Sandy that he'd respond. We again called and requested he review our communications. Nothing received as of 3/1/22. If you need their services, be sure to navigate every possible point of failure because They don't seem to care.

The check in system was quick and all I had to do was show my ID and insurance and I was done. The wait was only maybe 5 minutes before they called me back. Once in the back, I was shown how the monitor works, how to use the cell phone that goes along with it, and how to change the patches. What I thought I was getting put on was actually much different than it turned out to be. It used to be a little pack that you wore that would be around your waist but now its small sensor box that is attached to your skin over your heart that you just change every 4-5 days and the cell phone just has to be within 30 feet of you at all times. That was a huge relief. I was in and out of the office within 20 minutes and it was seamless. I hope all these appointments go this easily.

The hospital wanted me to stay to monitor but I promised to do a follow up. Im new here in Florida, so stayed within the same hospital group for a follow up consult. Dr Parag Patel is who I picked to visite on 1-25-2022. Im still recovering and very weak. The front desk help was exceptional and brought a smile to my face. As Dr Patel entered the exam room and asked my why I was there for a visit, I explained that I had a low HR that medical people were concerned about. He asked me if I had passed out or was dizzy, I replied not at the time. I had experienced chest pain, burning and shortness of breath. I also was experiencing indigestion symptoms. His response was of dismay and not understanding why I was there, he said everyone that has COVID is experiencing these things, its common and that if I wasn't passing out that I had nothing to worry about. It occurred to me at that time that he was very irritated with the situation and then proceeded to listen to my chest. I shared that I was upset with his bedside manner and that I could leave. He said he would set up tests, gave me paperwork to hand to check out to set up apts. I took paperwork, handed to very nice gentleman at the desk and left. Unfortunately Dr Patel is a very unhappy human being and the humanness of us underlings really pushes his buttons. I really hope that whatever is in the way of this doctor gets resolved, when people are sick, they require empathy.

I'm a patient. I had an appt on 12/16/25, I was suppose to be seeing Dr Hanrahan on that day,…read moreinstead they assigned Dr Vishal Panchal. He told me that Dr Hanrahan is retiring in 09/2026 and only comes in 2 days a week. What was I suppose to do? So, of course I accepted Dr Vishal Panchal. He knows me 5 minutes and dictates how I should be living my life. I'm 70 years old. I listened to him and then I shutdown after his 10 minute speech... Let me start with my blood test results. The test result shows I have a urinary issue. At that time I had no symptoms, so he wouldn't prescribe anything to clear it up. Big mistake. I had symptoms about two weeks later. I called the office and the message said contact my pharmacy and I did. I had to call the office again because they hadn't responded to CVS. I never got that prescription and I ended up getting an over the counter solution...That's not the worst. The worst is I have been on Rosuvastatin Calcium 10mg for 90 days per my insurance company because it's a maintenance drug. Dr Hanrahan personally prescribed the medication for my high cholesterol years ago. It's due to be refilled with -0- refills left. I contacted CVS so they can contact Dr Hanrahan's office and again no response from her office to CVS. Then, finally they gave me a 30 day supply with no refills...Yesterday, Thursday, March 26, 2026 CVS sent me a text and an email informing me that, "your prescriber has not responded to approve a 3-month supply for Rosuvastatin and that I need to call my prescriber. I need that prescription. I have a 3 pills left and then what. Dr Hanrahan what has happened to you. You ignore my request, you ignore CVS request. What do I do now??? What do I do in three days??? Let me tell you what I've tried to do. I found a new primary care Doctor. Unfortunately, I can't get a new patient appt until July 15, 2026 which I scheduled. I tried to get my medical records on your patient portal, however, it doesn't recognize me as a patient... In three days, I will suddenly be off of my Rosuvastatin Calcium 10 mg, prescribed by you. You and the other two Doctor's, in your, yes still your office until Sept 2026, should be ashamed of yourself for not prescribing a much, needed medicine. I'm 70 years old and should not be in this shameful situation. Shame on you and your practice.

I had been a patient of Dr Hanrahan for 10 years at this point. After dealing with the neck pain for 2 years and being at the end of my witts asking for someone to help me. I asked her about disability and she yelled at me and said "we have nothing to do with that" and told me I "5 minutes too much of her time" and slammed the door while I was litterally in tears. Doctors are supposed to help and support you but she would not even recommend any specialist or document my problems when documentation is needed for any disability review. I lost my long standing career as an engineer and I lost everything trying to live on 19K a year from early 401K withdrawls. This woman should be ashamed of herself for the way she treated me.
