But I was in the ER with pneumonia Friday, 4/7, and Dr. Burca's office called me Tuesday to ask how I was & to schedule a followup visit. THAT was impressive. Today (4/14) was that follow up, and she is extraordinary. She went over my tests and records from ER, and past records from my previous primary. She was thorough, intelligent, and kind. She recommended a pulmonologist for my prior lung issues, recommended a follow up in a month to be sure the pneumonia was gone, and changed my June appointment to a wellness check & physical. Meanwhile, she asked me to please call if I got worse or needed anything. SHE is impressive! Her office staff is friendly and efficient. Erin was the one who called me Tuesday and I met her today when I checked in. Shameeka took my vitals before I saw Dr. Burca. Tracy checked me out, making my future appointments and giving me paperwork for referral & tests. All three women were cordial and skillful.

Today is my consult with Dr. LaCamera for my 4th one in 18 years. The first one in 2003 was good, with no reason to see him for ten years. But two tumors in 2009 necessitated another colonoscopy in 2011. Those polyps put me on the 5 year plan. The third, in 2016, resulted in 3 undetermined polyps which put me on the 3 year schedule. I'm hoping that the next scheduled colonoscopy returns me to the 10 year schedule. Dr. LaCamera is patient, kind, knowledgeable, and professional. My consultation with him is a back and forth of questions and answers - concerned and friendly. His staff mirrors his positive traits - always professional, patient, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. If I have to undergo this necessary procedure with it's cumbersome, unpleasant preparation the day before, at least I know that my surroundings and the people in those surroundings are wonderful & beyond reproach!

I have since moved to the Carrollwood area but because of the treatment I got here, I will always make the drive up. The first thing I really appreciated was the early morning appointments ( They start at 7:30). I was battling a major eye infection and these appointment times helped me work around my work schedule quite easily. The staff is very friendly and accommodating . Wait times are kept to a minimum and it's a very easy process to check in as well as check out after your appointment is done. The best part is Dr. Kolodner himself. He's very professional and is not afraid to tell you the truth about various eye conditions ( I'll never wear my contacts for too long again that's for sure!). He's also extremely helpful in determining treatment plans while not destroying your wallet if at all possible . Although I hope my eye issues go away, I'm glad I have a place to go to where I feel I'm getting the best possible eye care.

My doctor is always very thorough when I see him and addresses my concerns. Right now I am giving him a lot to work with so we'll see how that all goes. One thing that is a large downfall to this office is their phone system. They only have two lines so if they are being used by other patients for appointments then you just get a busy signal vs a waiting line or answering service.
