My most recent visit for MPH was to have my second hip replaced by the best of the best Dr. Andrew…read moreCooper. My first visit was in September with Dr. Cooper and extremely successful from security through admitting through transport to pre op to PACU to post op just as this surgery most recently in November. When entering the hospital, you can feel the sense that all staff are fully knowledgeable of the COVID guidelines and abide by them. This makes the patient feel comfortable with the cleanliness surrounded by them. All staff that I have interacted with during my surgeries have been professional, attentive, skilled. Since I have already posted about the first surgery I will comment on my most recent surgery. The staff beginning with the greeters to admitting all wonderful. Fe and Lisa got me on my way in preop to the anesthesiologist who was comforting due to his laid back personality. The PACU gang were also awesome Ginny C, GG, Marcella. Thank you so much for putting up with me. Erin and Jason getting me on my way to walking. Jessica was welcoming. I must give a huge thank you to Patricia and Carolos on the night shift. They were so helpful and understanding as the anesthesia worked double time of me. I have no words to express my appreciation of getting me through the night. I don't think I was this nicest patient in the middle of the night. Jessica C discharged me in a professional manner due to me probably not being the nicest patient when she did report from the nights shift. Kudos to all and MPH is fortunate to have each and everyone of you.

A personalized "thank-you" goes out to the medical imaging department at the Heart and Vascular…read moreInstitute in Largo. Everyone takes the necessary time to provide me with a superb echocardiogram experience. Although I was greeted by a most congenial receptionist at the registration desk, I must say that it was the actual testing performed by a staff member, only known to me by her Armenian/Ukrainian heritage, that pleased me most. She has a pleasant talking voice. Knowledgeable skills were clearly on display throughout the entire testing process. Dr. Jesse Klein, DO, who treated my heart attack back in 2020 displays an extremely high level of professional expertise, combined with a consistent caring attitude. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We experienced a failed communication / process between largo medical where the test was performed…read more, and the " test reader" at Heart institute. When this test was scheduled, we warned that surgery was 2 days away and the report needed to be expedited. We were assured this was doable. AT 5:00 pm THE NIGHT BEFORE SURGERY were told many others had called on our behalf and got voice mail or non answers so we found OURSELVES trying to locate the report , unaware of the processes or handoffs between the two facilities . In desperation, we asked for help from Sandy, executive assistant to Adam Rudd , largo medical CEO . She reported --the next day--that she was only able to "leave a message" as well. If the CEOs office can't get results, does that Tell you something? Without this report and no clearance, our long planned/ awaited surgery was cancelled. Afterwards , we wrote both facilities to try to find the point of failure to prevent another patient from this experience, due to some lost report, in pain for another month. The Heart Institute seemed somewhat aware of THEIR role in the dropped ball yet both institutions pointed fingers, lacked interest in resolving. Why not more concern over So many disrupted schedules , many medical personnel hours and resources wasted from canceling an 8 hour surgery the night before? Or how about any empathy or apology for the patient and family forced to reschedule, re-test, waiting in pain? We specifically emailed the Largo medical CEO Adam Rudd 3 times between 1/30/22 and 2/1/22, while being assured by his assistant Sandy that he'd respond. We again called and requested he review our communications. Nothing received as of 3/1/22. If you need their services, be sure to navigate every possible point of failure because They don't seem to care.
