It said so much to me to learn that during my visit because it would have been so easy to just not make the 15 minutes needed but no, they made it happen and was even in contact with my primary care doctor to coordinate everything. That is one reason why I always have BayCare doctors, their system is linked, making it easier for them.

There's plenty of free parking in front. The waiting room is comfortable. The new patient forms are all completed online. You don't have to print out anything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Once taken back, the staff worked like a well oiled machine. I went from station to station. I got an ECG, met with a nurse, a physicians assistant, the pacemaker rep and then (of course) Dr. Norris. He has a great demeanor. He answered all of my questions. He was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The overall experience was great. The replacement procedure went uneventfully and the followup visit went smoothly, as well. I can definitely recommend Dr. Norris if you don't currently have a cardiologist.

This guy has ZERO compassion, ZERO communication skills and has not business treating anyone but patients that are under anesthesia. I took my mom to see him after her stroke. He was her cardiologist while she was in Morton Plant. He was the first doctor we could get in to see after her discharge. (her primary doc retired and we have another week before we can get in to establish with her new Primary Care doc). She's having so much anxiety about having another stroke, frustration because the anxiety causes extreme fatigue and she's short of breath. She can't eat, she's not doing her therapy exercises. His response? "Well your heart looks good. That's all probably from anxiety. You should see someone about that." Not one iota of compassion or understanding. Just another arrogant doctor with a God complex and a "how dare you question me" attitude. If you're looking for a doctor who will treat the PERSON, not the organ, this guy is NOT it.

When entering the hospital, you can feel the sense that all staff are fully knowledgeable of the COVID guidelines and abide by them. This makes the patient feel comfortable with the cleanliness surrounded by them. All staff that I have interacted with during my surgeries have been professional, attentive, skilled. Since I have already posted about the first surgery I will comment on my most recent surgery. The staff beginning with the greeters to admitting all wonderful. Fe and Lisa got me on my way in preop to the anesthesiologist who was comforting due to his laid back personality. The PACU gang were also awesome Ginny C, GG, Marcella. Thank you so much for putting up with me. Erin and Jason getting me on my way to walking. Jessica was welcoming. I must give a huge thank you to Patricia and Carolos on the night shift. They were so helpful and understanding as the anesthesia worked double time of me. I have no words to express my appreciation of getting me through the night. I don't think I was this nicest patient in the middle of the night. Jessica C discharged me in a professional manner due to me probably not being the nicest patient when she did report from the nights shift.
