Delivery order This was a miss. While the order was on time and the driver was courteous the restaurant will not be getting more business from me. They got 2 parts of the order wrong. The worst was the drink. I paid EXTRA for strawberry lemonade. Not only was there no strawberry, it wasn't even lemonade. It dusty colored cold water that tasted like someone added a teaspoon of lemon concentrate. No sweetness, barely any flavor at all. Just a weak hint of fake lemon. Definitely no strawberries. The food itself was not great. Just meh. The lamb vindaloo was the only thing with any character. I think there were 4 small cubes of lamb and 3 small potato cubes. I know it's a lunch portion, but dang. They didn't skimp on the sauce though. Everything was drowning in sauce. I've never had thin tomato soup before, but the flavor was OK. I might try those ingredients myself at home with some Campbell's - and a heavier hand. At least it was piping hot. The one thing I really liked was the naan! I paid $7.83 for this? Seriously? They gave me 2-3 tiny pieces of meat and barely any curry. If you're out of food, just say so don't serve scraps and charge full price. I wanted to try this relatively new Hakka Indian Chinese restaurant and have enjoyed everything! The place and staff are nice and the food is delicious. I ordered 4 lunch specials, each of which came with basmati rice and either a samosa or chicken lollipop wing, both of which were delicious. The 4 orders were coriander garlic chicken, chicken noodles, chili fried lamb & chili chicken. Each was delicious, I will return soon. See photos. These are lunch specials. Placed an order through delivery.com. Ordered 3 items. One still to go. But I need to vent and share even before I get to the last one. One of the items I ordered was Tom Kha Kai soup. It is Thai Coconut Soup. One of my favorite foods on the planet. I have probably had nearly 200 bowls from Brooklyn to Bangkok. It is white (like coconut) creamy and delicious. Usually filled with white, delicious, chewy mushrooms (name escapes me at the moment). The soup I received (pictured below) is CLEARLY not white nor containing mushrooms. My sink is not clean (apologies) but it still shows a great contrast with this dark yellow soup they sent. Stuff happens. Things would be amazing if my biggest problem was getting the wrong soup. The problem though is that in addition to sending the wrong item, they deny it happened. I got an e-mail from delivery.com asking how things went with my order. So, I told them. I asked to be refunded for the soup which was incorrect and which I was not going to eat. The rep put me on hold and called the restaurant. He came back and said that they would not issue a refund since they did send the correct soup. If you've ever had Tom Kha, you know that isn't it! What else can I say??? read more

If you see in my history of reviews, its very rare I give such low ratings however I feel this hotel is deserving of such rating ... I placed an order for delivery through Yelp. Came to find out the rice was missing, called the Restaurant and talked with Mona. She said, she is sorry and yes they did forget to place it into the delivery bag and its here. However our delivery person is busy, it might take upto 1 hour for driver to deliver. I said - Ok no problem will wait as we cannot eat CHICKEN THAI CURRY alone, we need rice! It's past 2 hours, I called Restaurant. Mona says, I can get free Rice next time I order lol, so you never had any intention to deliver the rice. To top of it, I said why dont you guys take the Chicken Thai Curry back and refund me the money. She says she cannot do that. I said than why are you offering me free white rice for next order ? To eat it alone and what am I suppose to do with the Curry I have ( let it go to waste ) ... If they had been straight forward with me, that sorry we cannot deliver you the rice. I understand the restaurant probably gets really busy on Saturday nights but really over an hour?? Also they shouldn't advertise for the ETA to be 45-55 min on Seamless. It was drowned in salt and placed with a lemon wedge. Adding the lemon only made it worse. The mix meat biryani was awesome, super tender and fresh full of amazing spices. Loved it! Their salt lassi is good too, not the best I ever had but I liked it. The food was really good with just the right amount of spice. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 start is because the don't accept cards below $10. And nowhere does it mention so. I was caught completely off guard since I ordered the lunch special. I had to buy a water bottle for almost $2 to make it even $10. It was inconvenient and again, deceiving since the min is not mentioned anywhere. They have all these visa and MasterCard signs on their windows. Other than that, the decor is lovely. Food is fairly good! But they always serve cold. No apologies after letting them know about the cold food. They need to improve the customer service. 1st visit. I was impressed. Loved the soup! 2nd visit. Served cold soup and foods. I did not complain as this could be one time issue. 3rd visit. I specifically told them to make sure food is hot specially soup but they served cold. Looks like a family run business that cares only about money. I came in with my friends this week and we were all in a very good mood. One of us could literally die after having tomatoes and the rude people of Dhanshiri would rather have that than a simple frikkin samosa chat away from us. We ordered a lot of things because it was a few of us. So I think simply changing out a tiny samosa CHAT would not have cost the store to go out of business. When ordering we specifically asked that there be no tomatoes in the samosa chaat. If you can't accommodate that then just let your customers know. I ordered takeout and was terribly disappointed with the food. Worst chicken lollipop I've ever had. It was actually a fried drumstick and even then the batter it was coated in was bland. Hot and spicy soup was very mediocre. I've had better at random Chinese takeout places. Portions are small, I don't know why I didn't listen to fellow Yelpers who had already posted about that. I recently ordered take out from this establishment for the first time after searching for nearby exotic foods. The menu was extremely extensive considering they offer Indian, Thai, Indo- Chinese, and standard Chinese food. After about 20 minutes of indecisiveness I finally decided to order the shrimp pad thai and their mixed biryani which contained lamb, goat, and chicken. To my surprise the biryani was delicious. All the meats inside were cooked to perfection and the rice was cooked/seasoned immaculately. It wasn't too spicy either but they made sure to include extra hot sauce in the bag. The shrimp pad thai on the other hand was absolutely disgusting. The noodles were bright red and tasted like it was cooked in purely ketchup. I really liked the wide variety of vegetables that were included in the pad thai but that sweet/sour ketchup flavoring was a huge turn off. I was happy that my food was delivered in a timely manner and that all sauces/ utensils/paper plates were included in the bag. I probably will order again from this establishment but only Indian food because that seems to be their strong suit. The prices also seemed very reasonable; both of my dishes were $11 each. Clearly the pad thai was not worth a dime but the biryani won me over. read more

I really wanted some Tandoori shrimp and garlic naan. They were pretty skimpy on the garlic, but otherwise it was decent. Now the Tandoori shrimp was a completely different story. I was expecting a nice size shrimp and got different sizes. Not only that, it was sooooooooooo overcooked I had to throw it away. I was able to eat some of the veggies placed around the rocks that were sent disguised as shrimp. Not sure if all their food is bad, but I know this wasn't it. read more

We were told minutes after ordering that the lamb would be from a different cut but that didn't bother us; there was a bit of a wait for it though. I normally come here in person and the food is always AMAZING! But this time I'm upset... I did an online order which took an hour and an half to get here. then I got my drink with no straw however the food never fails which is what is saving this review right now. I also just know the restaurant is severely understaffed. there's literally two waiters there that are doing both serving and answering phones! Who would have thought I can get good Indian food so close to home? I ordered there since it was a Netflix and chill kinda night. I was starving too. I ordered online which was pretty painless. My food arrived within 45 minutes. I ordered Samosas as an appetizer, they gave 2; the Chicken Tikka Masala which came with Jasmine Rice, Paratha wheat bread, Mulligatawny (yellow lentil soup). They gave me a few Papadam (thin crispy breads). And I was feeling adventurous so I decided to try a dessert I never had, the Moong Dal Halwa (warm lentil pudding with pine nuts and spices).
