The girls kept looking at even the miniature toilet paper in one of the doll houses. The woman who runs this museum was very welcoming and answered all our questions as well as informing us of the dolls' histories. Definitely worth walking through. And there are a few dolls and clothes for sale too to add to a collection.

Tickets are $5 but all of that goes towards a charity. Parking is also free which is great. I stayed for 5 hours and loved the fact that it never felt too crowded and I never had to wait in a long line to get what I wanted. I just loved walking around seeing all the food choices. I personally felt like they could've fit more places on the actual lawn area instead of making two complete sections to walk through. They had a gate open so you can walk in a nice circle but for whatever reason, they closed that gate which made accessing the food places on the upper plaza more of a pain. Since this place takes place in spring, I wish there were more vendors that focused on cold drinks. There's a bunch of seating on the upper plaza but you can also opt to sit in the stadium seats or bring a blanket to sit on the makeshift grass. Lastly, they advertised that these places would have $5 samples but only a handful actually had them. Overall, a super cool place to try out food truck type food.

The food trucks were not permitted to sell water or soda so those items had to be purchased (water $4.00) from Peoria Sports Complex Food vending. $2-$4.00 food samples were suppose to be offered by every truck there but I found only a handful of food samples offered. It's necessary to do some Yelp Homework on food trucks or it's just like gambling and you have a 50/50 shot of enjoying what you try. I didn't do my homework and made some poor choices. The samples and food adds up fast and with admission were spent around $58.00.

The runners ups would be the Kourabiedes (shortbread cookies with powdered sugar, and the Melamakarona (spice cookie). The most time you really could spend here is about 90 minutes. Most of the greek dances occur in circle form and that is entertaining to watch for a few minutes, but the food is why we are all here. Oh, on the website, it is 2-1 admission, so two for three bucks was a good entry deal. My favorite food there was the $7, flaming cheese served on a pita. OPA! We tried just about everything and the Moussaka slightly edged out the Greek Lasagna in the main dish competition. The rice pilaf and beans were average, but the spinach pie was flaky and excellent. Finally, the deserts are famous in Green culture, but the Baklava wasn't the best at this festival. There were so many desserts we had to buy the $15 assorted package. The best one was the spiced Walnut cake and Baklava sundae (only pieces of Baklava). The powdered sugar cookie was messy, but probably will try to Lokunado's next year - fried dough with honey.

My husband and I like to cuddle on the couch after a long day and watch funny videos and comedians on the phone together. While at our local public library I saw they had a flyer with Jeff Foxworthy on it. That is how I learned about this facility and events. With our 28th wedding anniversary here I thought what a great idea to see his show. We love to laugh. Clean and nice with lots of seating yet cozy. Not a bad seat in the house. Easy to access clean restrooms and beautiful art hung along the walls you may purchase. The only bummer about this place is the seating design. The rows are too close together and if you have to get up or get to your seat, the whole row must get up to let you in and out. We enjoyed the show. They offer refreshments, snacks and cocktails. Nothing fancy. They take donations and have membership options as well for those who would like to attend a lot of shows. Can't wait to go back. They do have handicap access and seating.

December 3, 2024 - Witmann, AZ…read more We stayed here overnight as part of the Harvest Host Program for RVers. I learned so much from owners Sandi and Chuck. They showed us around their ranch, and introduced us to their Alpacas, which are the cutest animals. It is a very personal visit, because all the Alpacas have names and different personalities. We even got to see a newborn (3 hours old). I very much enjoyed our visit and learning about the Alpacas. There is a store on the ranch, and there was an Alpaca rug I really wish I would have bought. The owners could name each Alpaca that contributed to the sections of the rug. I did buy some socks that I am wearing right now. I LOVE these socks. They are so soft and warm. Go visit, and definitely stop in at their store.

Desert Mirage Alpaca Ranch, Wittmann, AZ - December 3, 2024 - Harvest Host…read more We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon about 3:30 pm. They ask that you give them an approximate arrival time and call about 10 minutes before you arrive. You also need to follow the directions the host gives you to get to their place. We were heading southeast on Hwy 60. Jomax Road didn't show up on gps, but that's the road you should turn on going west and on to N 191 Rd and on to their property. Proprietor Sandi opened the gate when we arrived and told us where to park. After we got set up, Sandi, and her husband Chuck, showed us around the ranch, introduced us to their alpacas, which all have names (must have been more than 40). We were fortunate to see a newborn alpaca. It was only about an hour and a half old and could already walk. It knew instinctively that it should be getting some milk from its mom. Sandi and Chuck shared interesting information about alpacas and their ranch operation and took us in to their store. Their items include rugs, clothing items, and more. We bought some alpaca socks for the whole family. Alpaca wool is warmer than sheep's wool. It's hypoallergenic, anti microbial, breathes better, and wicks moisture better than sheep's wool. Can't wait to try them under my boots in the snow! We had a restful night's sleep; however, beware that you can hear traffic that's about a half mile away on the freeway, and a few long haul trains do go by in the distance as well. We have background noise apps on our phones and play wave noises which block out freeway noise. It has worked pretty well for us at quite a few places as long as the noise isn't too close. There is also a faint barnyard animal smell as you might expect. That didn't bother us at all, but it might be something to consider if that kind of thing bothers you. Definitely a fun and educational experience and stop!
