Wow so cool!!! We opted to come here since we wanted to check out some local events. We were staying in downtown Phoenix and it took us about 30 mins to drive here. Open until 10pm supposedly, we decided to make the trek. It was a weeknight so there wasn't a lot of people, which made it more fun because we got to really look at the pumpkins and talk to some vendors. This garden is in the middle of a shopping center (so don't expect an actual pumpkin garden). Lots of parking surrounding the garden and you can walk the paths that leads to you lifelike pumpkin heads all around. I just wished there was more lighting. It was hard to see out after 9pm. There are a couple of food trucks and a beer garden for the adults. You can even walk around with your beer. The staff and those who volunteered were all very friendly and nice. If you are in the area during Halloween season definitely check the garden out!

Six of us who live in Cave Creek decided to swing by and see the Festival has been going on for many years. We actually enjoyed it more than I would have expected. It is obviously geared toward the kids, but there's enough quality carvings as well as 'fun' themes that the adults all smiled. It was family night, and there were lots of kids also there carving pumpkins while watching the experts do it. All in all I say stop by for a few minutes one evening during the season.

Some variety of events for the young and the old. A few trinkets and refreshments for sale.Stroll threw the village in beautiful Carefree for free and see the master pumpkin artist carve life into the most interesting pumpkins you've ever seen. You might have seen him doing the pumpkins on Food Network Halloween Wars. I took a few photos. This is a free event that runs till October 31st 2015. Everyday the artist carves more pumpkins. When you get done with that there are a few shops and some cafes. Slight Update 10-24-16 Improved from last year. Now they offer a Beer Garden, a few Food Trucks, Hayrides, Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest and Face Painting. More Crowded than last year. You will see the most pumpkins closer to the last days of the event.

Did you know in some cites they have over 500 pumpkins carved and ready for people to see? Carefree is a small town operation and this year just seemed to get worse with too many people, not enough original stuff and many of the same ole displays from last year. I believe there are only about 20 pumpkins scattered about the small park. They did add more food trucks this year and an arts and crafts area was expanded. The 80's cover band though was pretty good and our Witch hat Lady was on hand for the annual hat purchase. They should rename the city SCAREFREE for the Holidays, don't ya think?

So! Free event! With so many things to see and walk around. Lot of spooky and funny pumpkin carving scenarios. Plenty of spots to eat, grab a beer or let (if have any) kids play around. Family friendly with few events. Not too sure why some people complain about this, I mean, it is a free fun day event for the weekend. Parking can be a little bit hard to find, but worth the trip to Carefree,AZ

We had so much fun...the kidos really enjoyed it! There was no cost to get in...but there were some activities that were an additional price...still cheat though! Lots of local vendors and safe!

What a great free event! This is the 2nd year we have attended. This time we stopped by after dark which I would definitely recommend. In addition to the standalone carved pumpkins (impressive!), there are creative groupings of pumpkins in different vignettes e.g. pumpkins boxing, pumpkins enjoying a swimming hole, etc. You need to see it to appreciate it. Very well done!

Got invited to check this event out and was not disappointed! This was a fall art show more than your typical pumpkin patch if that is what you are aiming for during the fall. Definitely very artistic people put this together. Has a great selection of food vendors! I wish the place was closer so More people would see how cool the pumpkins are! Worth the drive for sure!!

    So much talent!!

Ask the Community - Enchanted Pumpkin Garden

Does anyone know if they are holding this event this year (2022) and how much they charge? All the website information that I am finding is quite outdated...

Called the city, was told "We haven't had that in years!" So, disappointment because it seems to be appearing in lots of places for 'Things to do'.

What are the dates ? 2022?

Called the city today (10/11/22) and they said "We haven't had that for years."

They charge $9 for parents and $40 for children to go on 7 rides? Parents should be free as we cannot ride anything. The Glendale location on October 12th, the rides kept shutting down over and over again. With children on the rides. The bounce houses kept deflating with children in them over and over and over again. It's a huge safety hazard. When brought to management attention, we asked for them to refund us and we waited and didn't leave and over and over for over an hour we asked and waited to Talk to a manager for a refund. She came up with excuse after excuse over and over. Said children were too Safety but they weren't taking the kids off rides when they broke down and the continued to let children jump in the bounce houses knowing the mother board has gone out and they had to keep jumping the generations. Then they didn't even let anyone in lines know that the rides were breaking down and the manager tried to say that their number one priority was safety? I do not understand why they are letting people in still? We let people know as much as we could. Some pissed off customer starting yelling about how they are charging people for broken rides and finally people started to clear out and managers finally started refunding. We got there at 645, my kids rode rides for a few until they started breaking down and we asked for a manager at 720 and didn't leave until 845 with the refund. It took them forever to finally take us seriously and refund us. By the time we left there was a huge crowd of people also waiting for a refund. They could have 100% avoided that if they were honest with people that the rides were not running that night. The best part of this night was the funnel cakes, cooked to perfection and fresh. Dont waste your time or money.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the business model for everybody lately. It's unfortunate and most likely we will not return. We were really hoping to find a farmers market where we could get fresh fruits and vegetables at a decent price but I'm not gonna pay to go in and pick and then have to pay for that too. I believe it was almost $20 for each person to go inside and pick what you want and that's only if the item is in season.

A con is that the smaller kid activities is way on the other side from the bigger kid activities so if you have kids of different ages, you have one bored and just hanging until the other is done in their section. The food was decent for the most part. The funnel cake bites, turkey leg, and kettle corn were good. The elote corn was eh. The food was decently priced. To get in is $20 each which to me, is a little pricey. There should be kid pricing in my opinion. Parking is ok. They did let a car in front of us hold the line up to wait for a car to leave but when we tried to do it, they made us move. Understandable but rules should be the same for everyone. Most staff was nice. On the way out, they asked about taking a family photo. We declined. My son was on the props I guess (it wasn't labeled and no one was there taking pictures) and one staff was like "this is where we take our pictures just so you know." That was interesting. Maybe post a sign. Not my top pick, but it was a decent time.
