Fifth Street is the location closest to my apartment, and it has a cozy workspace area and outdoor lawn with benches and tables. The cappuccino and cortados here are the smoothest, most-well balanced coffees I've had--they make the cappuccino with the black apple espresso, which is my new favorite. I'll have to stock up when I eventually return to the West Coast. I haven't tried their food or pastries yet, but I believe that the Pumphouse location has the largest selection and am looking forward to slowly making my way through the menu.

One of my favorite photos from this visit shows my latte with the roaster in the background--the origin story of my coffee, so to speak. The space itself is beautiful. Plenty of seating if you want to linger with your drink, and lots of natural light pouring in from the skylights. The hanging plants and open layout give it a relaxed, welcoming feel. Great coffee, thoughtful design, and a place that feels just as much about the process as the final cup.
