He showed up to do the estimate at my property and provided an estimate via email. He said to secure him for the start date I needed him to start on, he needs a 50% security deposit of $1575. I've sent over via VENMO to @JayKazz with Kazz Handyman Services $1575 on 7/30/2025 at 2:35 pm for agreed work, but the work was never performed. Contractor is ignoring my request to return the funds. Clear breach of agreement and using VENMO for fraud. I know have to go through the process of writing to Venmo, Yelp, filing police reports, complaint to the state contractor board, BBB and small claims court just for $1575. I am doing this to make sure no one else has to experience this fraudulent act by Jared Kacsandi at Kazz Handyman Services.

David was able to schedule my job in a reasonable time frame and arrived on time the day of the job. He reviewed the list of repairs I had, and we together determined which ones could be completed within my budget for this day of work. David inspected, removed, and re-installed an existing toilet with a new hybrid toilet seal, snaked a bathroom sink, replaced the trap and seals, installed a new bathroom sink faucet, and also installed three new porcelain lamp holders w/switches in my basement. David also assisted me in selecting the new faucet for the bathroom. David was upfront about pricing and completed the tasks efficiently. I really appreciate the time David took to explain options, give advice and provide recommendations as well as excellent service on the tasks he completed. Danny had been doing work for a neighbor and came to our door looking for any projects that needed attention. We gave him a chance on replacing some rotting wood around a window, and we were so pleased that we had him do several more small things around the exterior, including replacing a bad section of fence and some rotting railroad ties. He even pressure-washed our stone sidewalk and porch and they look like new! He works fast and exceeds expectations. You can reach him at 216-209-2147.

Owner Ken Schubert worked creatively with us and our design, streamlining materials and construction methods to capture the look we wanted at a price we felt good about. He took extra care in construction, picture-framing the decking, a detail I wish I'd thought to ask for and was overjoyed that he included. From inspiration photo to finished product, Iron Castle turned our lackluster, sagging brick porch into a wide, welcoming, beautiful entry. We're excited to tackle future projects together and recommend Iron Castle to everyone we know.

On top of that, the quality of their work is fantastic. Among other great things about their work, they did a beautiful job matching the existing wood molding in our home with the new construction they did on our bathroom. Price-wise, they were right in the middle of the road compared to the other estimates I received. Where things fell short for me was communication. I know contractor-client dynamics can be tricky, but as the project progressed, it became increasingly unclear what the actual timeline or next steps were. The project ran longer than the original estimate, and I was never given updated, reliable estimates for completion. (Part of this was due to scheduling inspectors which had nothing to do with Iron Castle, but even factoring in the inspection wait time, the project went beyond the initial estimate.) Toward the end, communication broke down and workers would show up on days without prior notice, even after I explicitly asked to be kept in the loop on scheduling. That was stressful because we had our work to take care of. Big picture: Iron Castle does high-quality, beautiful work, and they are good people. But while I love the finished product, the process of getting there was not what I would have expected.
