Stayed here for a few days because it's close to my family during my visit…read more Mella is brand new hotel. I was told they recently hosted Miss International Pageant here. Service was impeccable. Greeted me and my family with a smile. Their lobby was amazing. Huge! It accommodated my very big Filipino and extended Filipino families and friends too! Our room was tastefully done. Nice view, cozy king size bed, modern bathroom and rain shower to boot! They provided free complimentary breakfast buffet which was fantastic. You can order omelet and pancakes too! I had dinner at their restaurant and surprised, they had Italian on their menu. Best part, there is an outskirts mallstrip about a 5 minute walk. There is a drug store, convenience store, Jollibee, and a few other eateries. Mella is also only about a 20 minute car ride to Manila airport. Very convenient. Oh, I almost forgot. Their pool was fantastic. Free towel service and the pool was big enough and even provided a nice cabana. Cheers!

I had the king bed room and it was good for the price except that the bathroom smelled of mold. The windows are covered so don't expect a view. Conveniently located in the Alabang district and right across from the very lively Festival Mall, the Vivere Hotel sits 31 stories above Laguna bay. initial impressions were very positive with a Lobby that was very opulent. friendly doormen, bellhops and check-in agents welcomed us in. we got in very early in the morning and opted to pay for the early check-in which was a FULL night's stay. it was a reasonable price as it was so we were ok with it. the room was very nice. clean lines and sparkling tiles. the Imperial Suite has a separate living area, dining area, 2 bathrooms with 1 tub/shower combo and 1 with just a standup. the bathrooms did not have very much counter space, unfortunately. the water pressure was both weak and did not deliver HOT water, just lukewarm. very disappointing. there was also no TV in the 2nd bedroom. 2 of the 3 AC units were remote controlled and the one in the 2nd bedroom was hardwired. kinda weird. oh, and there was supposed to be a mini-bar setup, but, there wasn't. we ate our morning breakfasts at the Nest on the 31st floor. the staff up there were very friendly and remembered us each morning. the food was buffet style with a good amount of Filipino and Western options. we ordered sparkling wine a couple days and were surprised how pricey it was considering we were in the PI. the day of Typhoon Uwan they had the breakfast setup on the 2nd floor ballroom. the elevators got pretty busy for breakfasts, but, we didn't wait too long most days. we also dined at Shogun, the Japanese spot at the lobby level, but, was not technically associated with Vivere. no room charges allowed. good food nonetheless. the location is extremely appealing. the Alabang area is very clean and well maintained. mama had some concerns when i initially told her we'd be walking back from the wedding (800 meters) back to our hotel. no worries at all. Festival Mall is located a quick 5 min walk from the hotel and is filled with so many eateries, shopping, lounging and most importantly for us, KID friendly amenities. the mall had an amusement park and a trampoline park. further up from the hotel was more dining options as well as a grocery store that we used to grab some stuff to stock up for Typhoon Uwan. there is a pool on the 4th floor. it's small with limited lounge chairs, but, very refreshing. there is a bar/dining area, but doesn't open till 4p so that was inconvenient unless you BYOB, which we did. the kiddos enjoyed swimming during the Typhoon with sideways rain. the area was not impacted much from the weather. Overall, we liked our stay. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. The dining options were good, just wished they had a lobby bar option. The location can't be beat. The rooms need some attention, specifically the water pressure and temperature. They need to add a TV to the 2nd bedroom as well as modernize the AC in that room. The hotel bills itself as a 5-star, but, is not. 3.5 to 4 is more their speed.

After considerable research to find a 5 star hotel in Alabang - we came up with Vivere for its…read moreprime location, convenience and safety. LOCATION: 5/5 It is situated in Filinvest City, making it an easy access to restaurants and shopping malls. Makati and BGC are roughly 45-mins drive away. ACCOMMODATIONS: We booked the Imperial Suite, located at the 8th floor of the hotel with a view of the city. It is a 2-bedroom, 2 full bath suite with a separate kitchen and living room. There is also a small storage area with a closet where luggages could be stored. This actually felt more of a luxury apartment than a hotel room. CUSTOMER SERVICE: 5/5 The customer service in this hotel stood out. From the bellhops, front desk, concierge, and the wonderful restaurant staff at the Nest (which I'll be writing a separate review of this restaurant) were all consistently attentive, friendly, and polite. CLEANLINESS: 3/5 While the hotel has aesthetically pleasing appearance especially the lobby and overall set-up. Unfortunately, the cleanliness specifically to our room fell short of our expectations. The pressing issue was the initial state of the room even upon check in. We noted that corners and edges of the room appeared to have been overlooked in cleaning, the kitchen utensils weren't as clean as they should be. I also experienced some skin irritation during our stay, which I suspect might have been related to linens or possibly a tiny biting insects. Due to these issues, we ended up checking out after 4 days rather than our planned 14 . REFUND PROCESS: While we did face some concerns that cut our 14-day stay short (and had already paid for the full duration), we did not encountered any problems with the refund process. The hotel processed our refund for the unused nights and the money was back to my account in about a week, just as they committed. Given the hotel's prime location, beautiful aesthetics, and top-notch customer service - this could have been an easy 5-star rating. I believe that an enhanced focus on maintenance checks should be one their priority given that this hotel is priced higher than nearby competitors.

We were in need of a proper bed and a proper shower. The hotel information counter said that these guys were the last affordable hotel that's at striking distance from the airport. At around $80 american isn't bad, for a comfy bed, with airconditioning, hot shower, and a quick nap time til 0430,, why not? A little bit of refreshing goes a very very long way and it's definitely good for the traveling spirit. Specially when you have another flight at 0810. An airconditioned shuttle to and from the hotel is provided and is complementary. The spacious Suzuki people carrier came to pick us up that night. The driver greeted us warmly and even helped us with our bags. Upon arrival to the hotel, two bell employees helped unload the van and helped us carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs and escorted us to our room. The rooms had two beds (one single, one full), air-conditioning unit, a fridge, two chairs and a little table and a window. It also has a bathroom with hot shower, a toilet, and a sink with a mirror. This hotel is hella complete as far as I'm concerned. If you're looking for a posh place to stay, then I suggest you shell out posh hotel money. Other than that this place is all I need and plenty more. I had a great short night stay here. Thank you very much Siayan Hotel for a quick night stay. I'll probably see you again next time.

This time we stayed 2 nights before we had to catch another flight, we stayed at the older tower which was a bummer since we loved the newer tower last time. Staff was still the same, friendly and helpful like last time. We had clothes laundered and was delivered same day. We also tried the room service which was delivered within 40 minutes I think. The older tower has older plugs so be aware of that, I did borrow a transformer/converter for my hair straightener which worked perfectly. Overall, would stay again but I would probably request to be in the newer tower.

The food is amazing... the breakfast buffet has so many varieties of fresh, hot dishes to choose from, all kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables. I will admit that I tasted as many pastries as I possibly could and loved everyone!!! Although the property is outstanding it's the people... the staff really makes this a special place. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the Philippines!!!

Under this tree is also where people can have their breakfast and it's a very relaxing experience. (Oh, and there is purple in their logo, too. And staff have purple uniforms!) Actually, entering The Purple Tree is like entering a different world. From busy President's Avenue, you walk up a few steps and to your right are unique artworks. And then farther up is an inviting pool (and from its side you hear the sound of falling water) - and of course, the purple tree! For me, this is really one of the nicest places to have a staycation, in some ways better than in hotels. There is nothing quite like eating breakfast under the purple tree while staring out into the pool. It is utter relaxation. And, the bed is comfortable, like it would in a nice room at someone's home. P2,200 is quite a reasonable price for the experience.

It had a separate living room, with a full kitchen if you decided you wanted to cook (we did not). It also came with a big refrigerator and also had a 5 gallon water dispenser which was great to have. King bed was very comfortable and bathroom was also very big. Lots of storage space to keep your belongings. there was a balcony but we never utilized it since it was kind of hot. Breakfast buffet came with the booking. Lots to choose from, 2-3 dishes usually change but they usually offered plain rice, garlic fried rice, dried fish, eggs, salad bad, noodle dish (this changed daily), some sort of protein (this changed daily), small selection of breads, congee and another soup that changed daily, coffee bar, variety of juices and cereals. One reason i also chose this for accommodations over the other places was because it also offered a kids play room which came in handy every day to release all the energy. Our booking also came with a parking spot which helped a lot when our family and friends came to visit. We used the combo washer/dryer every day. It does take a bit longer to dry, so make sure you dont put a huge load of clothes in. They also offer a shuttle service on weekends to the mall, reservations are required for the times. We never utilized it but its a nice amenity to have. They are also in close proximity to food places. 7-11 is next door as well. I also found out on our last day that they can arrange for airport drop off (i am unsure of pickup). I also loved that they called us every morning when the Taho guy came through! All in all, staying here helped make our vacation in Philippines go really well. Will definitely come back here!

Gym was reasonable size and quiet during night usage. Only one restaurant, so not much selection, IMO. Everyone here was polite. Some negatives... 1) the first thing I noticed was the A/C and TV were ON. The TV display was about to be out of commission. I left a note to ask if it can be serviced and it did by the next night. 2) I am not used to not having bottled water. The room advertised bottled water, but there was a 1 gallon water dispense. It was laid near a window. And although it was covered (sun protected), I did not feel comfortable drinking from it as I cannot see inside. 3) The room I stayed in must have not been used often. The toilet looks to have some dried-up water stain on the toilet seat. Also, on the first night when I turned on the shower, dirty water came out for about 2 minutes before it cleared up. Another reason why I don't want to drink the water. 4) Although I was on the 20th floor, I could hear outdoor noises. The ceiling A/C help as it generates white noise. LOL. 5) On the third night, my bathroom sink leaked. It wasn't a lot, so I just let it be since I was going to check out the next morning. And just a recommendation, there isn't any vanity light. The overhead bathroom light is dimmed. I can barely see my face as any lights available would be lit from behind my head. So all I see are shadow outlines of my face. Additionally, the electrical socket in the bathroom is not meant to be used with a hair dryer.

My mother is currently staying in this "hotel" quarantining for 6 days per the requirement when traveling in the Philippines at the moment. It's been less than 24 hours since the writing of this review. To even classify this place as a "hotel" would be a stretch. A Motel 6 here in the U.S. has better services. FOOD: If we had known they feed their guests here like they are 2 year old toddlers, we wouldn't have wasted the money paying for a package that came with food. See the attached photo of what a "breakfast" looks like. It's literally 1 freaking hot dog and 1/16th of an apple sliced really thinly. Dinner at the night of my mom's arrival was about the size of 2 tablespoons of ground beef and watermelon sliced paper thin also. My mom had to download the Grab app so she could get food delivered. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? When we paid for "food package"?? SERVICE/ QUALITY OF Essentials -toilet paper is thinner than paper. Have you tried using thin ass TP when doing your business? Not fun, is it? -Towels: no wash cloths, literally just 2 towels -electric tea kettles but no cups/ mugs? Wtf? -utensils/ napkins nonexistent My mom asked for more toilet paper and hair dryer morning and it's now noon and it hasn't been given to her yet. If she gets lucky she might get it the day she leaves. For a hotel that's supposed to cater to guests in quarantine, the least they could do is to provide EVERYTHING/COMFORT so that their guests wouldn't have to need anything else.
