I had been using a lawn service for the last couple of years, but decided to let my son cut the lawn once he was old enough and actually asked to do it. The only problem was I had a mower sitting in the garage that had not been started in 3 years, had a bad plug, needed sharpening and had a leaky gas tank. They come to you - that's a real plus, especially if you don't want to have to drag a dirty leaking mower in your car. There's a service fee to come out but that gets applied to the repair cost if you decide to use them after they give you an estimate.
Service - the service was excellent. They are very upfront about the costs and will even make cost saving suggestions that get the job done. Add to that a free blade sharpening for first time users and it's a real win.
Cost - For everything that was done, I paid $75. Most of the other places I looked into would have cost at least $150 more, would have charged a bench fee just to look at it, which was more than the $35 service fee and I would have had to take it there. The service was very reasonable and you have to like a business that asks as one of it's first questions, "what is you budget?".
