This request started off very well but ended up with snarky language from this company regarding the final location of my vehicle when they returned to my home. First and foremost, the cost of additional services they recommended after doing the original work, were much more costly compared to just a cursory look online by about 15-20%. Of course, they have every right to charge whatever they choose. I can live with this and in fact am using another mechanic who is going to do the work for almost half. But the real crux the issue was when they dropped off my vehicle, and after they departed, I texted and asked they move the the vehicle to the front of my home, instead they parked in front of my neighbor's home. This wouldn't be a big deal except I can drive it due to a dead battery. They responded with "We are already on the way to do other work we have. That is as close as we could get to where we could reach our tools without blocking traffic." This is an excuse because when they came to pick it up in the original position, there was concern about traffic other issue regarding the location. The had no problem working on in its original location so it made no sense that would be an issue upon returning it. More egregiously than all of this is when they appeared to get irritated with me and made this comment: "There was not a truck parked in front of they way yesterday. Have a nice day!" The exclamation point is snarky and rude and moreover the truck they implied an issue today was also there yesterday and besides truck is in front of a neighbor's house. Moreover, they drove my vehicle to my home today and regardless of anything else could have easily just parked in front of my home. I'm sure this company does good work and this is just my experience, but I rarely give critical feedback unless someone gets testy with me and that is the single reason I'm writing this review. read more

My car battery died due heat and age on Saturday late afternoon. You pay extra for convenience of mobile battery installation but Mike sent out a technician Joseph who promptly installed the new battery within the hour. Joseph was courteous and kept me abreast of his arrival time. He used a battery saver to keep my car settings as he replaced the battery. I was glad they were available for mobile battery install since all the the shops were closing or closed after 5:30pm. I really appreciated their battery replacement service! read more

A rainy, cold Fort Worth night. Post holiday. Long drive here and another back home. And the car won't start. Lights, power, but no action. 45 minutes later a tech shows up as promised, confirms the battery is dead, pulls one out of his truck along with all the other parts I need and charges me pretty much cost plus a very small reasonable markup. Do I think $175 is an unfair fee for a mobile mechanic? Not particularly although I wish it had been slightly less. The missing star is ABSOLUTELY for not providing a written battery warranty with the caveat that any warranty was 'thru them'. Having a warranty 4 hours away is not particularly effective. I reserve the right to amend this review based on successful delivery of an OEM warranty on the battery. read more

LIFESAVERS! My car wouldn't crank on one of my busiest days (also happened to be a Saturday) and I just knew I wasn't going to be able to get in and out of shop by the time I needed to. I've had a previous bad experience with a mobile mechanic so I admit I was very skeptical but desperate so I called them and they were able to get someone out within the hour! He spent about 2 hours in the hot a** heat looking at everything under my hood, even got his hand cut up a little bit, but was able to get me fixed and rolling that day! I paid a little more than I was anticipating but for the speed/accuracy at which he completed the job I'm ok with it. I will definitely be calling them for my car needs in the future!! He also gave me some good tips, things to look out for, and didn't make me feel dumb or less than. I'm super appreciative! read more

There was a sense of calm and measured questioning to help isolate the problems as closely as possible. After completing a brief service request form I was sent a payment link for the service trip charge. Within minutes I received a text from the technician giving me an ETA. Upon arrival he confirmed what he thought, made the proper preparations to save as much programming information as possible and replaced the battery on the spot. No codes were lost and the repairs were done quickly, professionally and courteously. No payment for the battery was required until it was confirmed the battery and alternator was working correctly. Used this company, a tech named Jason came out and replaced a MAP sensor, checked fuel pressure and ran a OBD code reader and came up with some additional possible issues but no resolutions. I had explained that I had gotten a tank of gas at an Exxon station and an hour after I got gas the car stopped running. We came to the conclusion that it must be bad gas. I paid him his fee of $90 and a tip of $10, in cash, and thanked him. Now I'm sending in receipts to SUNOCO (the gas provider for Exxon) to get reimbursed for work that was performed by DFW Mobile Auto Repair and at Walt's Automotive. Walt's is new to me, an auto shop that came to my attention from the dealership that sold me the car. Walt's seemed a great fit for service and value. I can't thank them enough for doing top shelf work. I can't get Jason or the other person on the company's website to send me a write up of what they did and the charges so I can include it in my claim against SUNOCO (SUNOCO has acknowledged they will reimburse me for this work). Isn't that strange that a company that did work for you would not send you a brief summary of the work they did so that you can get reimbursed for it by the gas wholesaler that is responsible for the contaminated fuel? Why a company would do work and not provide a brief write up (should take 5 minutes to email me something?) was confusing but now I understand why!!!! They have a business address at the same place that Public Storage in Grand Prairie is located. They apparently do not have a business address at the advertised address since Public Storage does not allow a company to be operated out of their storage facilities. I am thinking that Jason, if that's his name, may just be in over his head? He was a nice person, presentable in any setting, spoke well, seemed nice. He just won't send a brief write up on what he did so I can get refunded? Strange. I can't give a good review for any company that will not respond to a customer. It's unprofessional. He does have a full time job teaching Phlebotomy, drawing blood. So maybe this is his real occupation and auto repair is his side line? By far the best customer service dealing with a mechanic. I called thinking i needed a battery but mike asked what my car was doing to make me think that, like would it turn over but not start or what is it doing? I explained to him it was clicking but not starting. He came out on a reasonable service charge to determine what was really going on and turns out i needed a starter and that my battery was fine. Very reasonable pricing considering its a premium service. I did not have to pay for a tow truck to drop it off at the "shop" and wait for them to get to it when they had a minute and i wasnt pressured into anything and he let me know what was wrong and didnt try making me fix a bunch of other things trying to make money. I appreciate his professionalism and knowledge. He got to my house within an hour got the part and fixed it quickly. I would recommend this company for any mechanical needs! read more

We were about to take a college tour with my daughter when our car broke down. We thought we would be without a car for the whole weekend, but we found this number on the internet gave them a call and within a hour or so we were back on the road again. They gave fast, complete, and detailed service. Even took my husband to go get the part that we needed to be replaced which was the alternator. We only paid $245 for total repairs. I would recommend their service to anyboy who wants fast and good service. As a mater of fact I will make sure my daughter have one of their cards in her wallet when she goes off to college in case her car breaks down. Our son had gone out to work at the Ballpark in Arlington and when he got there had a flat tire on his truck and was unable to get the spare tire lowered. Since he needed to get to work, my husband and I went out to try to take care of it while he was working. Calling a couple of 24 hr roadside assistance places. One kept hanging up on us and the other told us it would be 30-45 minutes. After waiting nearly 1 1/2 hours without any callback from the business with whom we had an appointment we contacted DFW Mobile Auto Repair. Brett made it to us in 1/2 hour. He was terrific! Based on what happened to my Suburban four months ago, I thought the alternator went out on my Durango. However, when I called DFW Auto Repair to come out and take a look at my Durango, they performed a diagnostic test and it was determined that I only needed a battery which saved me over $300. I wished I had known about them when my Suburban stopped running because I now beleive that the battery was the only problem with it and I spent over $500 replacing the battery and alternator. Our daughter came in town for a visit over the weekend. When she went to leave, her car would not start. When we realized it wasn't the battery, we called DFW Mobile Auto Repair suspecting it was the starter. Within a couple of hours of our initial contact, they arrived with part in hand and about an hour and a half later she was on her way home. As far as price, we were charged about $50 more than the quote given us by the parts store for the starter. There is a service fee and then labor. Between the part, service fee and labor, $514 put her back on the road. Although $514 sounds high, by the time we would've paid for a tow truck to have her car towed to a mechanic, parts and labor to repair, and the fact that it was Sunday and she would've had to miss a day (or two) of work to get it to a mechanic shop, we probably broke even.
