If you're looking for a reliable local remodeling contractor in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I would definitely recommend Southern Home Remodeling. It's hard to find a remodeling company that communicates well, shows up, and takes pride in the finished product. We're very happy with the results and would absolutely use Southern Home Remodeling again for future projects. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a home remodeling contractor in Arlington, Fort Worth, or the DFW area!

* Failed to obtain required plumbing permits before performing work, which is a serious city/ state…read moreviolation, tho they falsely said they did. * They had to return several times over less than a year's time to fix things that continued to break due to improper install, including plumbing fixtures, the tub itself detaching from the floor, and glass for the shower. They also came to install several things that they did a poor job and instead of saying they needed to redo it tried to pass off as acceptable. For instance, cracking the tile in the shower to drill holes for the glass hinges. This happened over a handful of times. * I later discovered the plumbing permit had expired, after I forced them to get it as required, because they never got the final inspection it as they claimed. Once I brought this up they later said they extended it. Upon calling the city they had not paid for it as they said, forcing me to pay to extend it myself. * I discovered they never got a building permit, which is required for the drywall work they did. They said they did not need it and do work all the time without it, the city said that it is 100% required. SH tried to force me to pay to remedy the issue with architectural drawings despite that only being required since the work had been done, had they gotten the permit originally it would not be needed. * Multiple inspections failed due to workmanship issues. * I repeatedly had to coordinate with the City of Fort Worth myself to determine what permits and inspections were actually required. * Charged me for paint that I had purchased and supplied myself. They later admitted the mistake by text but refused reimbursement. * Billed me for liability insurance but would not provide proof until after my attorney sent a demand letter. * Despite acknowledging the insurance request, they refused to reimburse costs they caused, including the permit extension they said they paid for and never did or the paint they admitted to incorrectly charging me for and said they would credit me for. * Communication was consistently poor, requiring repeated follow-ups just to schedule repairs or receive updates. * What should have been a straightforward remodel turned into over a year of unnecessary stress, delays, inspections, and legal involvement. * Lied repeatedly in text, which I repeatedly had to screenshot and send them their conflicting messages. I cannot recommend Southern Home Remodeling based on my experience. In fact, I recommend avoiding them. Neither Jon or Cristian do the work themselves and take the word of subcontractors who do subpar work.

Working with a business owner like Aaron is every home owner's wish... he is SUCH a great project…read moremanager and communicator. I know it's not easy being so responsive and available to customer requests or questions all the time, but he puts in the effort to do it, and it makes for a great customer experience. We went with Liberty Paint four years ago for our townhouse and reached out to them again for our current home. Their pricing remains fair, especially for the quality of their work and excellent customer experience. Roy, his head painter, again came in with his other painters to fix and touch up things that our Reno contractors missed. They stopped by more than once to honor some of the touch up requests we had, because they're that committed to keeping their customers happy and making sure they did an A+ job. They painted the inside of our entire house, the cabinets and shelves, and white washed our fireplace. They are also the only contractors we trusted enough to let back into our home after we had moved in, if that says anything. Aaron's painters are respectful of the home and they make sure to leave things better than how it was when they got there (literally). Roy is also great at suggesting other house improvements and performing random handy work! Overall, I'd recommend Liberty Paint without hesitation and will be referring them to friends in our new neighborhood!

We bought a home in Texas while we were still in Colorado, and after just a brief walkthrough, they completely understood our style, preferences, and overall vision for the house. As soon as we closed, we turned over the keys. In just one week, they delivered a fully renovated home that was ready for us to move into. The amount of work they completed in that timeframe was incredible: new flooring, new paint, a completely updated kitchen, new gas-range stove, updated lighting, and renovated bathrooms throughout the home. Even more impressive, I was coordinating so much of this remotely, and they made the entire process feel easy. Communication was excellent, decisions were handled smoothly, and somehow the finished product turned out exactly the way we wanted. That level of execution, especially from a distance, says everything about the quality of this company. We are beyond thrilled with the outcome and so thankful for their work.
