I had removed a laundry room wall to install a sliding pocket door, and posted a request for proposals on Home Advisor. Dave responded promptly via email, and based on the pics I posted, he gave me an estimate immediately. I accepted the estimate, he came out to see the job (Brentwood to Concord) and after my re-construction he did the drywall work 2 or 3 weeks later. In the interim he was sick for a few days and emailed info with his phone number in case I wanted to reach him. He slipped the job one week. I have found in the past that some small job contractors run across a bigger job and don't show up. Not so here - dave appeared at exactly the time scheduled a week later, and did the work in three days as he described up front. Dave works smoothly, deliberately and precisely. He measures, cuts, and installs sheet rock as though he is building a custom kitchen cabinet. His workmanship is exemplary, he leaves no mess, and sweeps up on leaving for the day. He is punctual - exactly so - and his pricing was substantially below one other quotation I received. A pleasure to work with, this guy is a TEN. read more

Ultimately the scope of the work I inquired about was a little beyond what Dave wanted to do, but he gave great advice and was honest.

Quality, affordable, timely, and friendly! Hired David to fix the hole that my son accidentally put in our wall. He was quick to respond with a very affordable price and availability to match. He did amazing work, matching the texture seamlessly! I am planning on hiring him again to fix work that was done from another contractor trying to replace drywall from a slab leak. I absolutely recommend you check with him first if you have any drywall mishaps or projects, he's your guy! I am going to recommend him to my family and friends! Look forward to working with you in the near future David! read more

Roof leakage from rainwater leaking onto bathroom ceiling. I contacted Dave Hanson via email from his website. I sent photos and descriptions of the damage and received a reasonable estimate for repairs that would require two days. We scheduled the first day, Dave arrived on time and proceeded to lay plastic to catch debris. A cutout was made of the affected drywall, a replacement piece was installed, taped, and mud all in a space of an hour. The work was left to dry overnight. The following morning, Dave returned and finished matching the ceiling texture...again, all within an hour. The work was completed and I can not tell that there was any damage. Hanson Drywall Repair lives up to its great professional reputation. read more

Very talented and profession job. Repaired two ceiling water leaks - came out great!

Dave is awesome! I needed a piece of wall repaired behind the refrigerator after the plumbers were done fixing two water leaks that had left everything soaking wet. I got 4 quotes from drywall contractors, and Dave beat them. On top of that, he came over at the scheduled time and started working. He's a quiet guy who really focuses on the job. He is super thorough and doesn't rush, yet gets the job done in a couple of days (3 hours one day and about an hour the second day, which was texturing). I can't rave enough about that wall! It looks better than when it was brand new! I highly recommend Dave Hanson and wish I could hire him more! Look no further! He's your guy! read more

We called Dave Hanson after two other companies were non responsive or weren't able to provide us a quote to our inquiries in a timely manner. Dave despite being busy was quick to return our phone call and just as quick to schedule an in home consultation. We had two areas of concern. The first was a light fixture that we had removed from our master bedroom closet. We needed that area patched up. The second area, was what we thought was settling cracks on the ceiling. Dave was very professional but demonstrated a lot of integrity. Turns out our ceiling issues are more than likely not a result of our home settling but a framing issue. Dave could have taken the approach of just patching up the ceiling but instead he informed us he thought the problem was much larger and referred us to a construction company for that portion of the job. One of the companies we had prior to Hanson Drywall coming out, was all in favor of just patching the ceiling. It's very easy for companies to give you what you want or even take advantage of homeowners who may not know the difference between a ceiling settling and needing patching versus a framing issues. Dave repaired our ceiling in our closet. My fiancee and I were both very impressed with his work, his responsiveness and honesty. Hard to find a company like that these days! read more

What an absolutely great experience. Dave did what I consider to be a perfect job. Our neighbors above had left their water on resulting in water running down into our place causing damage to our drywall. We worked through our insurance to have a crew come out to handle the immediate response of drying and ensuring no mold grew. Of course their work also involved cutting out a large portion of our drywall. We were worried that whomever completed the work that the patched area would be noticeable based on the texture placed on our drywall. In fact Dave mentioned that the finish on our wall was not a typical finish. Despite our concerns the area that Dave repaired is perfectly seamless and completely unnoticeable. It literally looks brand new. On top of everything Dave was a great guy. He was professional, polite, and completed his work in a timely fashion. And what might be most important to a lot of folks his cost was very reasonable. I would highly recommend his service. read more

Professional, great work at a fair price. Dave was courteous, flexible, and did a wonderful job.

We have used Dave for drywall repairs several times. We did some electrical work in our home that left holes in walls and had Dave cover these up. His ability to match texture so that the repair is unnoticeable amazes us every time. We also took down a pony wall and had Dave retexture - again, texture matched perfectly so you never knew work was done. Dave always takes care in ensuring his work area is taped off and cleaned up well. We've used him at least 6 times and will continue to. Very fair pricing and attention to detail that can't be beat! This guy knows what he's doing! read more

Dave does top notch work. Recently I tried to match the texture in my house but after 2 attempts the wife insisted I hire someone. Dave came to the rescue and in 2 visits it matched like the original and was ready for paint. After painting I can't even tell where the patch was. Thanks Dave You are an awesome artist! read more

Unfortunately I experienced the same thing as the other 1star people. I contacted this company, left a message, called me 2 days later. I asked for a quote, but didn't seem very interested in what I had to say. I offered to send pictures of the project which I did. Never heard from them since. Didn't even acknowledge he received the photos. Definitely wouldn't recommend for future work. read more

Called Hanson 2 days ago; Dave responded the same day asking for photos by text which I sent; He replied that he could get to the job the same week -- he was very busy with big projects but worked my small project in. Arrived on time and I couldn't even tell that he had worked on the hole in the wall, due to a water leak. Excellent service and a very fair price. read more
