My first impressions when DFO first opened right around the corner from where I lived, oh my god, I am so excited, I want to go there when it opens right now right now, oh my god I can't believe it yay! My impressions after opening... meh. They got so excited when DFO Jindalee first opened they had to put No Parking signs all up the highway and around all the streets so the residents wouldn't get annoyed at the masses of people coming to get their bargains, it would be like the airport DFO... but not really. Not really was definetely the case... there isn't a Diana Ferrari shop. There isn't a Mountain Designs shop either, the foodcourt looks dismal at best and since opening just recently, about 30-40% of all the initial shops are now closed. Even my favourite Angus and Gus shop for kiddies has shut down. The foodcourt used to have 6 little eateries, now there's about 2. They are dying a slow and painful death and putting up 'new exciting shops coming soon' in place of the 'new exciting shops have just shut down because no one comes here' is not really helping. There is a Rivers here if that's any consolation... as well as a Lorna Jane. But trust me when I say, there is not much else. The council have since removed the no parking signs (that was never a problem it seems) and there are ample parks for everyone to go. read more

It's fun to shop here. Not everything is discounted and it's fun to find the things that are super reduced and make a huge saving. Know your prices before you come or bring a smart phone so you can compare prices. Parking is easy and adequete for the number of people that come here. read more

I think DFO Jindalee was a bit of a failure for it's operators. After a huge opening with lots of excitement from everyone living on the southside, patronage has dropped off to almost nothing and the place is dying. Everytime I visit another of my favourite stores has disappeared. It still has enough to make it a worthwhile visit for me though, with Dishh, Charcoal, Typo, Frat House, Windsor Smith, Factorie and a huge Cotton On store that is super cheap for buying wardrobe staples. Other than for shops like these which you probably won't find at Westfield and the linen and homewares stores that always have massive sales there isn't much to see. One good thing though is that there is always parking downstairs under cover right next to the door. read more

This centre had difficulties. Mainly with attracting traffic and business. The people that are still around had survive that period. Anyway, they mostly survived by lowering prices. I live in the Gold Coast and this centre is a bit cheaper for most clothing items. I also like the Mr Curry. The $13 large combo is great and I even get the vegetarian option. One of the best veg takeouts that I have had. The $10 medium option is still filling. Colorado sandals are like $30 when they are $80 to $100 elsewhere. the Jay Jays seems much cheaper and larger than other outlets I have been to. The Airport DFO has better range but be prepared to pay higher prices. This place is probably the best in rock bottom outlet pricing in Brisbane and the Gold coast in my opinion. read more

For anyone who's been to the US factory outlets, especially those in New Jersey or even Bicester near Oxford in the United Kingdom, in comparison, this is soooooo unbelievably lousy. Eh. The shortage of shops, labels, price-cuts make this place NOT worthwhile the visit. Although, I have found nothing wrong with service there, you can tell the lousiness of the place really has an influence on the staff. I don't blame them. The whole place is a little sad and frankly if I worked there, I'd feel a little pooped too. The lack of anything good results in people not coming, when people don't come, stores shut, resulting again in less people coming, which leads to emptiness and an eerie reminder of what was once there or what could have been. The only reason I come here is to wind down after a gym session at Fitness First which is located above. I find the gym itself attract far more people then the DFO. What I pray to see one day, is that they stock better quality of goods with reasonable discounted items. This place hardly differs to any other shop which have discounted racks and shelves. What's worse is the ambience and lack of people coming really make it a sad shopping experience and does not tempt one to come back. If it wasn't for peak periods like Christmas (where everyone wants to buy the discounted stuff), I really doubt this place would make a good profit. Solution? Simple. Better stores, wider range, exciting labels and I'll be back. (In all fairness to DFO, I think Australia in general lack a lot of international brands, I'd rather get back to the US or UK for the shopping) read more

I've been to Jindalee DFO a few times and each have come away wondering, "What was the point of that?" Unless you live out that way, it's a trek to get there and when you do arrive you find most of the shops you'd find in any other shopping centre except they're packed with stuff that no one wants. And the reductions aren't even that great. I bought a doona and doona cover set from one of the bedding stores there and still spent $200, so I think you're just as well off going to Myer when there's a sale on. Unless I hear of drastic improvements at either DFO in Brisbane, I won't bother ever going back. read more

Great cheap products. It is amazing shoes especially from Nike and Adidas.

We drove half an hour thinking there would be something worth buying for a decent price, how wrong we were. That was the second and last time i went. I don't even consider this place as a factory outlet, it's just a place made to look budget with very slight reductions of a very limited range. I have been to Jindalee shopping centre quite a few time's, and have found that is nothing like the one near the airport. However, I am a bloke that doesn't like to shop online and loves to go into shops and try things on. I like to find clothes that are fitted and up to date on the latest trends and even last season. I was at the DFO shopping centre last weekend and found two pair's of smart shorts a few t-shirts and shirts. I dont shop in David Jones unless there is a sale on and find Target and them bigger stores more of a regular fit's all. lol I am from Collingwood Park so a trip to north brisbane is a bit away and DFO in Jindalee is the next best thing. And I will be visiting it again quite soon read more

Not much there. All the stores had similar stuff and they were all overpriced. I ended up going to the mount ommaney shopping centre instead and found so much more there. I just wish I hadn't wasted time at DFO first. read more

Now... this DFO shopping centre is embarrassing. I remember coming here in 2011 when there was a food court. Where did it go? It's shut down because theres nobody here, it's actually boring! There was a Subway, Donut King and a Sushi cafe. They are gone, every time I come here, there is a new shop, when I come back the week after, it's gone! Wanna know why? It's dead, and this shopping centre is much worse than the DFO at Brisbane airport. That place is actually successful! The shops here suck! The only shops that have been here since DFO first opened are Typo, Smiggle, Jay Jays, Rivers, Gloria Jeans coffees and The Coffee Club. Most of the shops here have disappeared. There's just nothing here. It's very hard to spend more than a full hour here... I much prefer the DFO at Brisbane Airport. That centre offers much more!! This place should consider closing down... It isn't worth while and it is a waste of space. read more
