So I figured it all out myself and if they had just walked around the house, they would've noticed a previous DIRECTV install bracket (already bolted into the house) that they could've used. I sent them a picture of it and they said they couldn't use it. But I'm literally writing this review from StarLink that I set up myself. For free! ! I've now got the entire thing setup by myself, and simply have to go to Home Depot in the morning and buy a few small things to make everything look neat. Most simple install ever. They did not research the project or even look at the height of my home. Super disappointing ! It's like any other business. When they get really busy, you' really find out how good they are at managing things.

I called David and he was able to repair the faulty internal board for only around $375. And that cost was only because he had to take the tv apart and repair at his shop. If it had been a main board that was on the exterior it would have come out to much less. While here, I found out he also does VHS to DVD transfers. Cox phone representatives set me up, I went through the steps for the online discount, paid the deposit and the only needed to go to the store to get a modem and complete the billing process... but this manager at this location refused to do it. It felt like he was negotiating prices with me on the spot rather than going forward with an online discount I have in writing. When I went in the store the manager did not believe the online discount price, so I showed him. He disputed its validity so we put in my information together and it showed valid. However, he said he will not accept that online discount and would not push my online enrollment/payment through and give me a modem that I already put a deposit down for. Step 2: Watch eight employees somehow all be "busy" while accomplishing absolutely nothing. It was fascinating. One employee was deeply committed to a laptop, another seemed to have an intense relationship with their phone, and the rest had clearly mastered the Olympic sport of looking occupied while avoiding eye contact. Then came my favorite part... After patiently waiting my turn, two customers who arrived after me asked an employee "one quick question." You know... the famous "quick question" that somehow turned into an entire customer service appointment. Apparently, the queue is more of a decorative suggestion. Eventually, my name was called by Nichole, who looked like someone had just informed her that break time was officially over. No "Hi," no "How are you?"--just pure enthusiasm... if enthusiasm had been unplugged. Every question I asked seemed like I was requesting the secrets to the universe. Meanwhile, the gum chewing suggested she was mentally already clocked out and halfway to Friday night. By the time I left, I found myself thinking, "You know what? The DMV isn't so bad after all." Honestly, next time I'll just call customer service from home. At least if I'm going to be frustrated, I can do it in sweatpants. Cox has mastered the speed of fiber internet. After about a week of glitchy internet because I have a very old modem and router , I had not replaced since 2020 , George was so kind and sent me Cesar in no time who arrived within a couple of days . I am mildy disabled but the process was still fun and easy peasy ! You can easily track the status for when your technician will arrive . And I got credit for the days of service missed . Thank you so much Spectrum , especially George and Cesar , and I forgot the nice girl too who gave me the promotion this year she was fantastic too . So far I am very happy with the speed !
