Compared to William Sonoma for example, you'll find fancy items here for a little bit cheaper. But there are also things you can get from Amazon or in local stores much cheaper. I.e. they priced a potatoes ricer at $43 sale price, but you can get it for $35 online. If you find something you really want here, just take a second to check the prices if you don't already know it. Make sure you're getting a good price. Sometimes it's a good deal, other times it's not actually. Either way, I love stopping by here

The service was rude and dismissive when I asked a question. Now, I didn't know that the gentleman was serving someone else one isle over, but they could have said "I'm sorry I can help you in a bit when I'm finishing with this customer in the next isle", but instead was very abrupt, and impatiently snapped that they were with someone else. Had I of know they were helping a customer somewhere else in the store. I would have waited patiently. We returned to see if I could find something closer to what I myself would have chosen. We weren't in the aisle too long before an associate came and asked if we needed some assistance. We were happy for the help as there is a huge selection on display. We explained what we were looking for, and she set right to work trying to find what we were after. She was quite knowledgeable about the options and went to every length possible to investigate all our options. I was looking to upsize the 4 quart 5D All Clad deep saute pan for a 6 quart one. She explained all of the differences between the pieces that I looked at. She made several trips to the stock room to confirm whether or not they were available, and brought out a few different samples. She then answered my questions about which other brands might fit the bill, and which ones would have the specific features I was looking for. Turned out that many items were out of stock. Apparently supply is thin all over these days. She mentioned which might be available to be ordered and shipped out to me. What I found quite disappointing was the $45 shipping charge that would apply for that option. I was really surprised given the hundreds of dollars, even over a thousand, just one pan can cost, and especially since I had just been offered the option to have my Coach purse shipped back to me after cleaning for free. That to me is the biggest reason they don't merit a full 5 stars, as the actual in person service was stellar. It was also disappointing that several pieces just weren't available but given this isn't specific to Williams-Sonoma, I won't hold that against them per se. I might come back in future for a special item, because it really is a great place to browse a huge selection of all kinds of kitchen tools. I was a little disappointed not to see some brands I prefer, but there's certainly a lot more here than Crate & Barrel. Keep in mind that if you do want to return or exchange an item, you have 30 days from the date of purchase. Overall, a really enjoyable and well supported shopping experience.

Like most stores at Yorkdale, you can now have them bring your purchases straight to your car and skip the cold. Was very convenient during the holidays when the mall was packed. My advise, research reviews on a product that you're interested in and youtube how to use it and save yourself some time putting together a jigsaw puzzle with the people who work there, because time is precious. The store is lovely and anything kitchen is really my little haven when it comes to shopping.
