There are multiple floors. Everything from dress shoes to sneakers, hiking boots and everything in between. We checked out the LL Bean Outlet (strike one), the Cadillac Mountain Sports store (strike two), but they recommended Curtis Family Shoes because they sold Crocs which is what I had as my water shoes and they were too small for my kid but he liked them. We made it to the non-chain store and asked about the Crocs and told that they don't carry them anymore because Crocs got rid of all their independent shoe store accounts. I did not know this, but the helpful staffer did make some other suggestions for water shoes. The store has quite the selection of shoes from business to business casual to sneakers to hospital worker shoes and boots and they even had a display size 26 shoe. I should've taken a picture... The staff help was very friendly and accommodating. We ended up finding two different brands of water shoes that met our needs for our kids. The return policy was adequate and I hope we don't have to come back. But if we do, then I'll take a picture of Bigfoot. It's always nice to support an independent business while on vacation.

They had so many options for running and walking shoes - colors and styles and really great discounts. We ended up buying shoes, all of which were at least 40% off. Such a great deal in a store! Usually I only see these types of discounts online. We bought some for me and some for my niece. I was also able to buy running gloves! The person at the checkout was so nice and upbeat as well. Such a great experience. I just wish I lived closer. Worth stopping to look at running shoes.

My earlier review, brief as it was, still sums up my positive opinion of Reny's, a truly Maine chain of stores where I have shopped dozens of times without a single negative experience. There is street parking and a small parking lot to the left of the store. They also have a passport activity you can use as a day trip experience, whereby you are given a passport to bring to all or some of the branches around the state and have them stamped and signed by an employee. You get a prize halfway through the 19 stores and another at the end. To quote the chain's public relations, it is part of the Maine Adventure!

Reminds me of Woolworth's or Grants back in the 60s and 70s. A lot of variety, nice clean store and we found some snack items that we hadn't seen before. Two large floors of decent quality clothing, house wares, toys, dry goods and personal care items. Great store and friendly staff. We will go again.
