I was sick of getting terrible haircuts at those cheap places (Initials GC) and I remembered that I used to go to Deweese years ago and had loved them. Well, 7 years didn't change a thing, except their old address. Rita, the owner, still remembered me and my stylist Aubrey was amazing. I love this salon!! I love my stylist, Diana, and I love the owner, Rita!! For context, I am now 22 (almost 23) and have naturally brunette hair. Back when I turned 16, I begged and pleaded with my mother to let me dye my hair "bleach blonde," as it was popular at the time. To no one's surprise, that went horribly and I was recommended to Diana to fix it, as Rita is a family friend. It has been almost 7 years I've been going here and I will never look back!! As a natural brunette, I know that it can be tricky making sure that my roots match my blonde every time, but Diana is very meticulous and thorough. She nails it every single time. In recent years, I started putting fashion colors in my hair, and I also recommend Diana for that, because she has just as much fun with it as her clients do! I love being able to share with her what I am hoping for and having an amazing turnout every time. I also get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed during every appointment. I do this because Diana takes her time, waxing and then tweezing my brows to give them the TLC they deserve and bringing them back to life. I haven't found anyone better for that, which is awesome, because hair salon days are now a 1-stop-shop for waxing as well. Throughout the years, I have had service from other stylists for various things that I would love to shoutout! Jess does wonderfully on hair trims and dye, Dawna for updos and hair styling, and Emma for great conversations and a laugh!! Overall, I tell everyone about this place!! Kayleigh is an amazing colorist and stylist! She listens to what you say you want then she repeats it just make sure she's understanding and then before she ever cuts she shows you how much you said you wanted cut off and she goes from there! I love that she takes the time to dry and style it and shows you how to use the products she uses in your hair whether you buy them or not! My niece and I both go to her. I have been coming here to the salon for quite a few years. They always get me in right away or friendly and polite and I've never had a bad haircut or color. I switch around stylists because of my crazy schedule. Amanda F is great but she is always booked(which speaks to her work). I can't commit to appointments that are booked far out in advance so I call in within a few days or weeks of needing something and always had a prompt response. I paid $100 to get my hair colored and the stylist did not get all my grey hair and left me with hair dye all over the side of my face. I was told that it would come off when I washed my hair, which she had already done. I've had my hair colored at many salons and never had to wash my hair afterwards. I am extremely disappointed and I would not recommend this place for hair color. read more

She is more experienced than my normal stylist and I will definitely be asking for her from now on. Kaitlyn works wonders with my curls. I've tried many other salons that claim to have stylists that are comfortable with curly hair- only to leave disappointed and upset. Curly girls know- never trust a stylist that comes at your hair with a fine tooth comb! Curls require extra training and practice. I have never felt anything other than completely satisfied with my experiences with Kaitlyn. I can't recommend her enough if you have fragile curls. Happy curls = happy me! read more

If you and the other tenants at 160 Plainfield Village cared so much about the aesthetics of the property then why is there years of overgrowth of the bushes that sit outside Suite 195? If Arciterra cared so much about that side of the property, then why does it look the way that it does? There hasn't been a tenant there for years so what difference does it make if I am parked there? Are you the arbiter of where people can and cannot park? Am I parked illegally? No, I am not. Are there any signs that state I cannot park there overnight? No, there are not. Am I parked in a 'prime' parking spot in front of your business? No, I am not. You do not even own the property. You LEASE a single office space. How am I hurting your business by being parked there? Because you do not like the look of my car? I'm sorry that I do not have tinted windows. You and the other tenants are more than welcome to start a GoFundMe to get me some tinted windows...and then may I park there??? Were any of you complaining when there was a semi truck parked in the parking lot for months? Have I accosted any of your patrons or employees since I have been parking there? No, I haven't. Do you see me panhandling? No, you do not. I am also not littering on the property. I also do not have any kind of criminal record nor am I on drugs. I am simply trying to get by. I am simply trying to have a decent, quiet, safe place to park at night where I am not going to be bothered. And yet, you still want to make my life more difficult than it already is because you do not like the fact that there is a homeless person on the property. Because you think it is acceptable to discriminate against homeless people. Does it make you feel good to treat another human being like that who isn't infringing upon your rights and liberties as an American? What about my rights and liberties? Can't I at least have a place to park at night? I guess not, huh? I guess that is asking too much. So, you find it within yourself to contact Arciterra and complain to them and they in turn call the Plainfield Police Department and trespass me off the property. The Chief of Police didn't even tell me to leave the property when he talked to me on Oct. 7th, 2021. He was just trying to figure out what was going on and wanted to make sure I wasn't littering on the property (which I haven't been). But, you all had to call again to make sure I was trespassed, didn't you? You must be really proud of yourselves...all of you. What an accomplishment. But, you know what? I am still in town. I still spend money at some of the same shops that you spend yours at. I still live in your community--even if you do not approve of my living arrangements. I am still in your midst much to your chagrin so I guess the joke is on you. There are at least a dozen homeless people who sleep out of the Walmart parking lot every night. I wonder if you were in charge of that Walmart would you also have them trespassed from the property? Maybe you should look within yourself and try and find some empathy for other human beings. I'm sorry that you think I am such a societal pariah who isn't even worthy of a single parking spot to park at night so that I can rest my head. Maybe I should learn to be more like you... I started going to DeWeese bc they have many Deva trained stylists. Finding someone who can cut curly hair isn't always easy. I love my stylist Jess and I never feel pressured or rushed when I have my appointment. I have referred several other curly girls and they have been happy as well.
