I've been going to Deweese Design Salon for over 10 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else!! I moved about 30 miles away 2 years ago and still come back. You won't find a better salon for cuts, colors, highlights, you name it! Everyone is so friendly there and the service is outstanding. I love how clean the salon is and always feel at home there. Another great thing is that no matter who you make an appointment with, you know you will leave looking great. And while they are always busy when I go, there's no waiting weeks or months for an appointment! They get you in when you want. The stylists do a great job on men, women and kids. I used the hairstylists at Deweese Salon for my wedding in September and was thrilled with the results. The trial with Danielle was wonderful - she took the time to really listen to what I wanted and did an amazing job. The day-of, Danielle and Julie came to our site to do hair for the bridesmaids, flower girl and moms as well as my hair. They did a great job and helped suggest up-dos for the bridesmaids who didn't have a specific style in mind. Everyone was thrilled with their hair and had a positive experience. I absolutely love Deweese Design! I now live in Evansville, but still have family in Indy and I wait until I am up there to get my hair done because I do not trust anyone else. What can I say about Emma, she is the best colorist and stylist I have ever been to. Emma really knows hair! She is so good that I continued to go to her even when they moved to Plainfield. I always feel beautiful after I leave the salon. Emma listens to what I want and does everything she can to color and cut my hair the way I want. Enjoyed an appointment today with Aubrey. My first trip to DeWeese and I'm looking forward to it becoming my "go to." She did a great job with beautiful blonde highlights that were suffering from "Covid rootage", created much-needed layering for more movement, trimmed up my lob, finished with a blow-out and style that will be easy to manage. I have very curly thick hair. It's extremely hard to find someone with the expertise and patience to handle it. But they are awesome and have Devacurl training stylist there. She takes the time to pay attention is each curl before she cuts. She uses Devacurl products and even teaches me how to style my hair. My hair has never been so healthy. I have been going to Deweese for years. I had the Brazilian blowout done a couple of months ago and loved it. Jess did a great job with the blowout and color. My hair is red now and it has been for about 8 weeks. I have not noticed fading or dis coloring In between. I always love my hair. All of the girls are great!! I do try to be generous so they will remember me for next time, you know, how I like it, the kind of cut, etc.. but the thing about haircuts is you (well me) never really know until you (me) style it yourself.. my 2 stars is being highly gracious for what I paid (over $8O) for a trim. UPDATE: SLANDEROUS, MALICIOUS and DEFAMATORY response below is baseless in their claim(s).. seems all negative reviews are attacked until they are removed but I am choosing not to be bullied into doing so.. hence, they will hav to be made to correct their LEGALLY DAMAGING AND PERSECUTORY REMARKS.. Salon 6 is just north of the main Broad Ripple village off of College Ave. My favorite thing about this salon (other than the haircuts I get) is the overall atmosphere. It has a small boutique vibe that is relaxed and unpretentious. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and offer you a drink of choice while you wait. The waiting area has a little bit of a New Age feel with some beautiful stones and crystals and local artisan jewelry. It immediately feels very relaxing. They have a few complementary add on services you can choose from, and I especially enjoy the Vitamin D lamp in the winter when I'm missing the sunshine. My stylist, Heidi, has given me some of the best haircuts I've ever had, hands down. When I booked my first appointment with her she took the time to talk about what I wanted and ask me questions. After allowing my hair to grow for a couple years and really doing nothing with it, I was looking for a "long shag" cut which I had asked for from other stylists at other salons that never seemed to turn out the way I envisioned it. Lucky for me, Heidi is spectacular at shag cuts and also specializes in razor cuts, which can be difficult to find. I told her I was ready for a change and to go for it and the results were even better than what I had in mind. Since then I've received multiple compliments on my cuts with an added comment "that's the kind of cut I've been wanting and I can't find someone to do it right!" My visits are always pleasant and relaxing. I never feel pressured to chat or make small talk, but when we do it's easy and laid back. I always leave with a fresh cut and style that makes me feel like I just treated myself to something luxurious without the feeling of a stuffy, ostentatious "luxury" salon where everyone leaves with basically the same haircut, color, extensions, etc. Salon 6 not only meets what I'm looking for in a salon experience, but Heidi takes it to the next level with her killer haircuts.
