I called DeWaard and Bode on 7-20-26 for service on an inoperable refrigerator which I purchased from them. Tanya said they had a call in my neighborhood and would add me on. She added she would charge me $50 for same day service. Mike came that afternoon and promptly determined that it had a failed control module. He said there were 11 each of that part in a warehouse about a 100 miles away. He said if I paid for the part I could schedule the repair and I agreed. Tanya subsequently called and left a message that she was scheduling the repair for July 31 and hoped to have the part by then. I returned her call and I told her that I couldn't see why they couldn't obtain that part in a couple days. She repeated that July 31 was the best they could do. At that point I had no recourse. Mike returned on July 31 on installed the new part and restarted my refrigerator. His performance was very professional. However, I believe leaving me with an inoperable refrigerator for 11 days because it would take that long to obtain a part which was readily available wasn't credible. I understand that their service shop is about 45 miles from my residence. However, I purchased my refrigerator in their store about 19 miles from my house with the expectation that I would be able to obtain timely service if needed. Finally, a great experience shopping for appliances. I was helped right away when I walked in the door, and my salesperson was very knowledgeable, it was obvious he had worked there for awhile and knew the products. The price was competitive with the big box stores. Also, a huge bonus with DeWaard and Bode is that if I have trouble with my new washing machine I call them and get through to someone right away, rather than having to call a 1-800 number and get shuffled around to someone I'll never meet in a different state, this alone is a huge reason I'll continue doing business with DeWaard and Bode. The delivery drivers were right on time and very professional. The entire purchase from start to finish was painless and enjoyable. DeWaard and Bode just earned a new customer. I went to the Burlington Deward & Bode to look at refrigerators and I was surprised by the large selection and the prices were competitive with the big box stores. Dave Bouma was very helpful by answering my questions and showing me different models pointing out the differences. He was very knowledgeable about the products and there was no pressure at all. I purchased a nice LG refrigerator and it was delivered in a reasonable time frame. The delivery guys had to remove my front door just to get the new refrigerator into the house and they put it back on. I highly recommend this business, its hard to find an appliance store that still gives good old fashion customer service plus good prices and selection. read more

I never ever leave reviews - just had to on this one. I called for service on my oven. The service team arrived early - after a call telling me that they were ahead of schedule. Yay! Two vans pulled in - one was there to coach the other on my brand of oven. They were both happy, friendly and courteous. They were careful around my soapstone countertops (they are soft, chip easily). They set their tools on little mats / blanket things which I appreciated. Best part! They predicted the problem based on my service call information and had the parts with them. Just over an hour later and my oven was working again. They had an iPad with the detailed report and receipt so I could pay before they left. They answered all my questions. Tested other parts to make sure I was good to go before they left. I absolutely love everything about this company! I am pretty stingy with 5 star reviews, but this one is totally deserved. The salesman Ryan H. exceeded my expectations on every level from professional service to timely follow-up. It was awesome that he actually knew who I was when I called and didn't seem to need to figure it out. Then the delivery experience. The installers, Colton and Tristan were beyond fabulous. The care and level of detail in installing the appliances (we bought 4) was so amazing that I am struggling to find the right adjectives. They answered every question, explained the details on how each appliance worked, and they tested everything including leveling the refrigerator and running a full cycle on the new washer. They even came back at the end of their shift when I had an issue with adjusting the shelves on the refrigerator. We called a moment ago because I was working on the registration of the appliances and found out that that they had done it for us! Wow - just wow! read more

Best customer service experience in a long time. Igor was very knowledgeable about the products we were looking forward and guided us to the best choices for us. He helped us make our decision and we were out of there in less than 45 minutes. Afterwards he has consistently provided support with our questions and helped us navigate scheduling delivery while we were working on a difficult kitchen remodel. We needed warranty work done on our kitchenaid refrigerator and Kitchenaid gas cooktop. We were having issues with the warranty company who stated they couldn't find an authorized repair outlet for our location and so we contacted the service department at DeWaard and Bode where we had purchased our appliances. We talked with the service manager, Sarah, who immediately took over and made all the arrangements to have our warranty work done and completed in a timely manner. Thank you Sarah! This review has more good news. The repair person, John Boardman, came to our house found the problem after disassembling a huge section of the refrigerator,fixed the refrigerator, cleaned up his work area and ordered the necessary parts for the cooktop. John came back after the parts arrived and repaired the cooktop. Again he left NO mess and cleaned up the work area. He was very knowledgeable and both appliances have been working perfectly since being fixed by John. I can not thank the team at DeWaard and Bode enough for taking care of our appliances. I will purchase all future appliances at DeWaard and Bode and can depend on their service department to back up what they sell! read more

We had an excellent installation of our Whirlpool refrigerator from the Burlington Dewaard and Bode. The personnel have always been a pleasure to deal with and their prices were very competitive. The only reason for subtracting one star was a delay in getting an additional shelf and bin. This could have been a supply issue with Whirlpool. read more

These guys knocked it out of the ballpark! I hesitated to call them due to their small presence in Skagit Valley I know they have a fairly sizable location in Bellingham. I decided to call them after ordering a dishwasher from Judd and Black who said they could not deliver my dishwasher for 3-5 days I wanted to see if they could improve on the installation date. I was pretty panic stricken due to the fact I had a VRBO rental coming in before the dishwasher could be installed. Not only did DeWaard and Bode jumped through hoops to install my dishwasher they saved me money on the purchase price. Judd and Black didn't offer me the MFG rebate but DeWaard and Bode did. Purchased a new home with appliances from DeWaard & Bode. Within 4 months the Sharp Microwave burned. D&B were quick to come and look to confirm damage after which we were persona non grata. The builder called them, I called them and I eventually went to the store personally. I was assured the manager would call that day. That was four days ago. They did contact the manufacturer who did call me and a month later I'm still waiting for the new oven to be delivered. Hoping to get a loaner microwave from D&B we've had no response. First, I tend to buy local so if there is a problem, I can go right to the source. I was very happy with my salesman Nick Shkurat. I will say that the staff needs to work on smiles when a customer comes in so that you feel that you are appreciated. After all, how often do you buy new appliances? So our refridgerator came, went well, guys were super nice. Our range came and the delivery guys barely spoke and were civil. When I checked it all out after they left I could barely get the drawer open at the bottom of the stove. Yesterday the third piece, a dishwasher came and Chris was alone to deliver. He was courteous, thorough, cleaned up after the installation and even helped load my old dishwasher into my van to take to my son. So, at this point, I am a satisfied customer. read more

I shopped around locally to find a dishwasher and downdraft stove and the staff at DeWaard and Bode delivered. Everyone is very polite at this store, from the lady who answers calls to Ryan the salesman and the contractors, including Doug. I could not have asked for better service, and the downdraft stove required additional work. I am going back to this store for a fridge and washer & dryer. I will not shop anywhere else. Just AWFUL!!! I went to DeWaard and Bode as we were seeking a full appliance suite with our renovation project. I had done research on what I wanted and could afford. Should have been an easy sale for them. Instead I got a LOT of pressure to change almost all of my choices (which they carried) to much more expensive versions of everything (I was not going cheap to begin with). I was even told that the downdraft item I wanted wasn't going to work in my kitchen and that I needed to go with a vent hood over $2000 more than I was looking at!!!! We were renovating, we did our kitchen design with this item in mind, there was NO REASON to go to a completely different item. Moving forward, I purchased my appliance suite elsewhere (mid to high end items). Our $1700 dishwasher had a warranty item needing attention, GE is contracted with DeWaard and Bode and contacted them for service. Now these guys won't even come and do warranty work they are CONTRACTED FOR because the purchase was made elsewhere. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR!!!!! NO BUSINESS ETHIC, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, A RIP OFF TOP TO BOTTOM!!!!! read more

My washer and dryer was delivered today from Dewaard and Bode. I love my new appliances! I am very happy with the excellent sales people that helped me at the Burlington location. They are very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel pressured into making my purchase, which was good. I had time to research the items I was interested in before buying. The delivery men were professional and they were great! They definitely knew what they were doing! I have also purchased appliances for my rentals, two dishwashers and a stove, in the past from Dewaard and Bode. I have been very happy with those purchases as well.
