When we walked in, we were greeted by very nice employees and live music. We ordered a variety of Filipino delights: Ube Flan Binka Bite, Dulce Salted Egg Binka Bite, Regular Taho, Strawberry Taho, Mango Shake and Halo Halo. Everything we had were good. The vibe here is chill, coffee shop feel as there are a number of people just hanging out and chatting and working on their laptops. I would come here again for more of their Filipino offerings.

Their menu has a ton of options, although there aren't many pictures, so it took us a minute to decide. Thankfully the staff were super friendly and patient. We ordered a dozen Binka Bites in 6 different flavor (Choco Bavarian, Dubai Chocolate, Churro Biscoff, Nutella, Oreo, and Mango Cream), 2 Spam Musubis, and a Chicken Empanada. It was my first time trying Binka Bites and I really enjoyed them. The texture reminds me of a hybrid between mochi and sponge cake, soft, chewy, and not overly sweet. My favorite flavor out of the box was definitely the Nutella. For leftover, I would recommend to microwave them for a 5-8 seconds before eating so it will be soft and warm. The Spam Musubi had a great spam-to-rice ratio imo (very important lol) with decent amount of sauce. Meanwhile, the Chicken Empanada was fresh, hot, and packed with flavorful shredded chicken. Overall, it was a really great first visit. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying their Mini Adobo Rice with Scrambled Egg next time.

Regular HK-style ones are just okay too, nothing standout. Not cheap either (around $3 each these days?), but I guess you're paying for convenience on the Peninsula. That said, it's not bad at all, and when you're in San Bruno/Millbrae and don't feel like driving into SF Chinatown, this is one of the better local options. Not too many solid Chinese bakeries around here, so it fills the gap without being a total letdown. Best egg tarts are still at Golden Gate Bakery in SF Chinatown--no contest. Theirs have that perfect silky, jiggly custard and buttery crust that makes you want to go back immediately. Suzanne's is fine for a quick fix, but if you can make the trip, skip this and head to GG Bakery instead. Solid neighborhood spot if you're lazy like me and want something nearby, but don't expect it to blow your mind.

Z loves their round, almost flower-like shaped confections so much that he has chosen to serve them at his birthday parties for the past consecutive few years. This Millbrae location is the closest Nothing Bundt Cakes branch to our house, so, naturally, this is our regular locale for ordering. Located on South El Camino in Millbrae, this bake shoppe does have a private lot. Never have I had any issues with finding parking here - the spaces at the front entrance have always been available. The charming store is small with no seating provisions, promoting a shop, grab and go concept. Plenty of cute cakery products and accessories for sale sprinkle the boutique like cupcake-themed décor. The space is always clean and brightly lit. Most of my orders I have placed via their website. Easy peasy, quick, and the prices are reasonable. Despite their popularity, I will admit that, initially, I wasn't a big fan of the cakes from here. It didn't help that one of the first birthday cakes I purchased wasn't thawed enough before serving which made the texture sticky and gummy. Still, my boy loved it and continued to request cakes from here. Finally, the most recent order that we picked up on September 6, 2025 changed my opinion. This Red Velvet BUNDT CAKE was super moist and perfect in texture. I was further impressed that the cake's quality never diminished, even days after pick-up. I finally understood the hype. Picking up at the store is just as seamless as placing orders online. The staff is friendly for the most part and the cakes are always ready to go at the specified pick-up times. Only once did I find an error, when they forgot the "Happy Birthday" banner on a BUNDT CAKE. A minor slip-up, but a major overlook for the occasion. Nevertheless, we will likely continue to order Z's birthday cakes from here. We will just need to make sure to always check the orders very carefully before leaving the premises.

And no dozen pricing is disheartening. p.s. another customer asked if the Milbrae location might have other flavors or bites, and he said probably they have the same thing. So he either is an expert and knows exactly what the other location has, just talked to them recently and ask about their inventory, or is just bs'ing.

He explains there aren't many flavors left because most of his business is through online orders. We asked him to help us pick out 4 cupcakes, and he was pretty chatty about them all. After we picked out our 4 cupcakes, he gave us one for free (wow - thanks so much). That took the sting out of $6 cupcakes. The place is a bakery and store front, but no seating. They have cupcakes, mochi donuts, savory muffins, and various drinks. Their baked good are made with rice flour and coconut milk, so their cupcakes are light and moist. They kinda have a mochi-coconut flavor, but not the sticky mochi texture. Most of their cupcakes have some type of filling inside, which adds to the moistness. All their flavors are really creative, and some of the ones we got today I don't even see on their online menu. The instructions say best served heated for a few seconds, but I found the cream gets too melty. It tastes fine without heating imo. What we got: + Ube cookies and cream - ube and coconut forward. Yum. + Guava - this had a dollop guava jam on top and some squirted inside too. The guava adds just the perfect bit of tartness to the cupcake. + Nutella - there's a dollop of nutella on top that fills part of cupcake inside. + Churro Biscoff - pretty gooey inside, which may be due to heating it a few seconds. Still very yummy. It's a good thing I don't live close to one of these stores or I'd be here every day. I prefer these to Sprinkles cupcakes for the same price point.

Even though the Cakery has changed hands. They still offer memorably delicious cakes. I couldn't resist a slice of strawberry cream cake for lunch which was moist and light and ohh sooo good. Picked up a princess cake to enjoy with family and friends tonight. The verdict, while similar, I still prefer the Schubert's princess cake for its lightness and less sweet finish. Schubert's princess cake also has a more predominant almond flavor. Both memorably delicious. In fact, the consensus over the dinner table amongst friends and family was deeeelicious! And my cousin, who's the most important critique says I can bring the princess cake from either place over anytime! Would definitely return for either cake or to try the double chocolate cake which is Rosa's recommendation or coffee crunch cake that Mike C. recommended for next time.
