This was the night before my appointment and Blackman Grove. It was just me at home, living in the middle of nowhere, with a dead car battery and no way to jump it. I called to get the appointment rescheduled, but was told it'd be $75 to do so. Fine. Thanks, daughter. I get it. 2. Finally get a new bridge (not sure if that was what the other appointment was for, but man, it was expensive, even with insurance.) However...a hygenist puts the bridge on and shapes it way too short. The dentist didn't even do anything. I was told she doesn't like doing those or fillings. I was also told that if I didn't like it, they could send it to a lab, but it'd cost MORE. Now, that side of my smile...the teeth are way shorter than the other side.‍ To my main point and complaint: found a new dentist where I'm located. They did X-rays and told me that all of my crowns from Blackman Grove are garbage. You can see them in the X-rays...they're not even cemented down well. I paid thousands...THOUSANDS...and now need to get them redone because my mouth aches. I loved this dentist...BEFORE they hired new people and completely redid the place (and started adding Botox to their services.)

It wasn't until the numbness wore off way later that night that I realized the issue. I've still got to get that fixed but I honestly don't trust Lewis Dental to do it right. They've got a surprisingly high rating on here. I'm not sure how. Surely we aren't the only family they've screwed over.

Also needed a crown glued back that popped while flossing. The booker refused, said I'd have to buy a whole new crown (without even seeing it) but would do the cleaning. Asked my husband to cancel the appointment. He asked the booker the reason for the refusal to simply glue the crown back and she said because the dentist didn't know the material used to make the crown (eye roll), and that's their policy. I'm fine with dentists making a profit on crowns, etc. , that's how they pay salaries and keep the lights on so to speak but not okay with taking advantage of clients, charging for an expensive crown when likely one that isn't needed but she said that a whole new crown is their policy, either way. The upside is Barfield is one of the dental offices that is close by and in an emergency I'd not book go to their office.
