Oct.23 I wandered around Metrotown looking for cool, stylish, one of a kind shoes. I thought I would score something at Browns, but they have changed from what I remember. Then I turned the corner and stumbled on Devon. They had the most unique stuff in there! Only downfall; no returns exchange only, but honestly, you would be hard pressed to find something in there that you did NOT like. The picture included above of the white boots would hardly attract a "good" girl into this store, but they do have a large selection. One afternoon I was perusing Metrotown mall for some nice, sensible winter boots. I wandered into Devon shoes and somehow ended up leaving with a pair of fire engine red 5 inch stiletto stripper boots. There was only one pair left! They were my size!! THEY WERE 60% OFF!!! Now don't get me wrong, Devon shoes DOES carry sensible shoes and boots (some really nice ones at that) but the store seems to be mostly stocked with more... exotic styles of foot wear. Stripper shoes, big stompy goth boots, cute little pinup heels - they've got it all! This place was PACKED when I went in (it was 2 days before Halloween) and the staff were working their butts off keeping the tiny store organized and attending to all the customers. I was also kind of surprised to see allot of name brands in stock. Not like, designer shoes or anything, but the Bordello, Demonia and such - all those middle of the road brands that are sometimes difficult to find in Vancouver. read more

Brutal experience, no thank you. I'm surprised customer service is this terrible. My reviews have always been honest and rarely do I give 1 star, but this was an atrocious retail experience. Here is my story: Walked in to find a specific pair of boots, unfortunately it turns out they didn't carry them. They offered to order them in for me. I needed them by a specific date for an event (this was discussed in detail) and they promised they would arrive Dec 5th at the very latest. I told them if this could not be delivered by this date then I was going to order them online, they promised me. I paid upfront and was told they would call as soon as they in. Dec 5th rolls around & no calls. I HAVE TO CALL the business to find out where the boots are. Initially the woman tells me there's no receipt from these! Luckily I heard a girl in the background who had been working when I ordered them in the store telling the woman she remembers me ordering and paying so they must have a receipt. After 45 minutes (I requested a call back as this was taking too long) they determine the boots are not here and should be in the store at the end of next week....they think. ok, seriously???? I ordered them for the dec 5th date as there is an event & this is WAY WAY WAY WAY past this date. UGH! They have to confirm they arrive by this date. Still nothing until a day later when they say they think they will be in by the end of next week. UNACCEPTABLE!!! This is ridiculous given the boots end up costing $250.00!! Eventually they arrive at the end of the week and this is what happens. I speak to the owner's son who was the one to place the order and he tries to go back on what he said stating that he said he hoped they would be in by dec 5th. LIAR!!! I brought a friend who had been there during the purchase & she confirmed he had PROMISED!!!! First I paid upfront, then it's promised and doesn't arrive, I have to call the business for information, I'm told there's no receipt, I have to call again, then deal with this situation where he straight up lies. There's 0 compensation for this huge screw up. I would highly suggest not shopping here, you will not get my business. This is terrible customer service. I would highly recommend going to Deadly Couture for shoes that are a lot cheaper and WAY BETTER SERVICE!!! I read more

I bought what looked like a beautiful pair of shoes from here. Black, open toe, fur and beading. With the first wear the beading came off and I must have been wearing them for less than an hour without causing any trauma to the shoes. I went back to the store the next day but they would not process an exchange or an refund and would not fix the shoe because they did not have the beads. Months later I wore these shoes again for the second time. This time the straps came off in addition to more beading within minutes on the dance floor. I had to take them off in the middle of a club. I will never make another purchase from hear again. They may have great looking shoes but their quality, from my experience, is terrible. read more

From kinky boots to comfortable working shoes, this place has everything for a reasonable budget. Obviously I cannot wear stripper pumps, but I like baby heels, comfortable and light weight shoes and Devon Shoes has exactly what I need. I already bought 3 pairs of shoes and I still like them. The service is actually friendly and hilarious. The girls are young but VERY friendly and funny, they always try to help you the best they can with a hint of humour. Most of the shoes are hooker shoes that only Lady Gaga could pull off, however, I live through her. I wandered into this store, as I needed a pair of sensible slip-ons for walking and wanted something other than runners. They do have a wide range of party shoes, as the other reviews have pointed out. Anyway, I got one of the last pairs of Hushpuppies. Like I said, sensible! The service was excellent. The clerk gave me free inserts and a bit of discount off the shoes. I'll certainly be going back. They state clearly that they give exchanges/store credits, no refunds. So, no surprises! read more

I will give this store 0 star if I could. on August 28,2016. My wife bought a pair of leather sandals. She wore it ater buying it. We did not hear any thing because a lot noise at the mall. when we got home we heard the voice of puff. I found a vamp bubbles. There is a step on the puff sound. The next day we called to the store they let us to go back to store in two weeks. We went back on September 3 which in 6 days. the store owner try to clear the bubble with a needle but it did not work. we ask if we can either exchange or refund. the owner refused even it shows on the receipt. He just said Let us leave. And called security. At the suggestion of the security, to find the customer service center. Customer service manager went to see the owner and get same answer. But she suggest us to fill up the complain form and send back to the mall. It is going to help the mall management to determind if they will renew the lease with the store owner. we did as her suggetion. I only shopped at this store once, and I will never do it again due to quality issues and unhelpful staff. I bought 2 pairs of shoes here, they were on sale. They were in different colour but exactly the same. I thought they might not last for long, but was expecting them to last this summer. I started wearing them and in about a week (after I wore them 2-3 times each) the heel started to peel off. I took them back to the store where they said they cannot give me a refund or store credit, but they will fix it for me. So I left the shoes there with my phone number. They never called me back so I showed up at the store some 2 weeks later, when they gave me the shoes and one tiny tube of SUPER GLUE (!!!) which they used to fix the shoes. The lady asked if I wore them in rain (Hello?! WE ARE IN VANCOUVER!!!) because rain can interfere with the glue... In other words, they did a very poor job by trying to fix the shoes, they haven't done it professionally, and sure enough, they were coming apart again after the first time I started wearing them again. So now I'm stuck with two pairs of shoes that need to be repaired professionally (which will cost me at least $20). Oh... I forgot I have the SUPER GLUE... What a relief! :( read more
