I had a few other companies come and give estimates but they were lacking in the design area. Devin and his team really impressed me with their professionalism, creativity, and respect for my property. I did not have to chase them as to when they would be showing up as I have with other contractors. His estimate was very detailed and was easy to understand with breakdown and description. His 3D rendering was extremely impressive and really was representative of what he was able to create. Dan was present every single day to get the men set up and to do a check-in with me to make sure I was happy with the process from start to finish. Each day the crew left my property neat, never leaving garbage behind, and were very mindful to never leave my gates open due to me having 2 dogs. As for the work... I was unsure what I wanted exactly but knew I didn't want a cookie cutter yard like most of Long Island. Dan and Devin both worked with me to pick out the perfect colors and showed me how to best utilize the space I have. With landscaping, they were able to give me more privacy and brighten up my entire yard with beautiful perennials. The hot tub area they created with an outdoor television and pergola will definitely be used all year round. The outdoor BBQ and bar area will be the highlight of my outdoor parties! My favorite touch though was the beautiful pool and surrounding stone with an automatic pool cover which means I don't have to worry about my pups accidentally falling in when I'm not outside with them. We thought…read morea circular driveway would be a good solution and interviewed a few masonry firms - who either said it wasn't doable in our small space or disappeared altogether. Based on Yelp reviews we then called Devin from Flawless Masonry & Landscape who told us a circular driveway was absolutely doable! We were so impressed with Devin's design skills (including clear scaled digitized plans) and experience that we hired him on the spot. Plus Flawless's pricing was lower than other quotes we got. Icing on the cake. Then the pandemic hit so the job was delayed (NY orders), but Flawless came through after re-opening and did a superb job for us. The new driveway is both beautiful and functional, even our crabby neighbors like it! It was a big job but Flawless's skilled and friendly crew managed to finish in a week. It consisted of 3 patio levels and custom features like sunken fire pits, water features and kitchen islands, all to be built to a very specific spec to match a brand new pool installation. Before starting the project, and because I am very focused on quality and detail, I interviewed and toured about 12 other jobs before meeting with Bros. After meeting with Carlos and his team, I felt like I found the right team for my project. The Bros team started off on the right foot, starting my job on time, and working continously until the job was complete. They were able to work through any challenges and improvise as needed to get to the finish line, without sacrificing workmanship in the process. Armando (their lead mason) was amazing. His team worked very well together. There isn't a single person that walks my backyard without complimenting the work. I finally was ready to re landscape the front of my house so I decided to call someone else. Someone reccomended Catania landscaping so I called and set up an estimate. He showed up promptly for the estimate and was very professional and respectful to my Wife and I. Turns out he did a bunch of jobs in my neighborhood and looking at his website we found exactly the design we liked. He explained all the plants to us and gave us a great price compared to others. Dave and his crew went above and beyond to make sure my yard was brought back to life! We had an…read moreissue with grubs, which destroyed much of our lawn. On top of that, we had some areas we wanted to sod and touch up after living in the house for a little over a year, so we brought Dave over to offer suggestions and see what we could do. His team completed all of the following: -pulled up the remaining grass and put down the sod -re-stoned the front area against the house, creating a more eye-catching design that also provided more space for the bushes and plants -planted a new dwarf golden hinoki -replaced the rocks under some bushes with mulch -treated the new lawn -cleared the flower beds of weeds and mulched them -cut and placed sod to replace flower beds that we were previously struggling to keep free of weeds We were kept up to speed on when to expect things to be done and how much everything was going to cost, and I felt that Dave respected my budget. We will continue to use Rustic Roots for our yearly maintenance and recommend them to anyone needing a landscaper for jobs that are both large and small.

Everyone one we spoke to on the phone seemed too "busy" for our business or didn't think we were "real". Until we meet Gary Z from Ambassador Home and Improvement. Not only did Gary come to our house a day after we called his office. He actually completed 2 houses on our block where we could see first hand how amazing him and his companies work actually is. As any couple would do, we had a few other contractors entertain us with their offers and services but didn't feel the way we did when we met with Gary. Gary had set up an appointment for us to meet his team, we were not committed to Ambassador at this point. This appointment, in my eyes, was another way to try to close us. But Gary didn't even talk about the project, it was more of a comfort level check and I 100% appreciated this. A project of this size, the amount of money behind it. It's not something easy. He allowed us ask any questions and emailed us all responses, we had A LOT OF QUESTIONS, but he was able to answer it all. On December of 2021, We were down 2 contractors, Gary's company and the other (wont mention their name). We went to see Gary, meet the team again, mostly all family, which I thought was amazing. After our 6th meeting we finally committed to using Gary and Ambassador Home and Improvement. He then introduce us to Lou T, our architect, another amazing guy in this whole process he was pretty much side by side with us the whole time CAN NOT THANK LOU T. enough for all his efforts and hard work! Doug F. our project manager, Doug was with us the whole ride. Step by step, piece by piece, tile by tile. He would constantly text us with updates or when items would arrive. He even went out of his way several times to meet delivery people at our front door if we weren't available. Great guy, after 6 months of being in our house. We still stay in contact.
