On top of that, we had some areas we wanted to sod and touch up after living in the house for a little over a year, so we brought Dave over to offer suggestions and see what we could do. His team completed all of the following: -pulled up the remaining grass and put down the sod -re-stoned the front area against the house, creating a more eye-catching design that also provided more space for the bushes and plants -planted a new dwarf golden hinoki -replaced the rocks under some bushes with mulch -treated the new lawn -cleared the flower beds of weeds and mulched them -cut and placed sod to replace flower beds that we were previously struggling to keep free of weeds We were kept up to speed on when to expect things to be done and how much everything was going to cost, and I felt that Dave respected my budget. We will continue to use Rustic Roots for our yearly maintenance and recommend them to anyone needing a landscaper for jobs that are both large and small.

Let me start by saying this is by far the best home improvement experience I've had!! I wanted to…read moreredo my entire backyard and driveway since I've been working from home due to COVID and spend so much time in my yard now. I had a few other companies come and give estimates but they were lacking in the design area. Devin and his team really impressed me with their professionalism, creativity, and respect for my property. I did not have to chase them as to when they would be showing up as I have with other contractors. His estimate was very detailed and was easy to understand with breakdown and description. His 3D rendering was extremely impressive and really was representative of what he was able to create. Dan was present every single day to get the men set up and to do a check-in with me to make sure I was happy with the process from start to finish. Each day the crew left my property neat, never leaving garbage behind, and were very mindful to never leave my gates open due to me having 2 dogs. As for the work... I was unsure what I wanted exactly but knew I didn't want a cookie cutter yard like most of Long Island. Dan and Devin both worked with me to pick out the perfect colors and showed me how to best utilize the space I have. With landscaping, they were able to give me more privacy and brighten up my entire yard with beautiful perennials. The hot tub area they created with an outdoor television and pergola will definitely be used all year round. The outdoor BBQ and bar area will be the highlight of my outdoor parties! My favorite touch though was the beautiful pool and surrounding stone with an automatic pool cover which means I don't have to worry about my pups accidentally falling in when I'm not outside with them. I really can't speak highly enough of Devin and Dan's work, talent, and professionalism.
