I was so pleased with this campground. 3 people in my party used the bathhouse/showers and raved that they were the cleanest they have ever seen. We stayed in a full hookup RV site and the site was very level. Used only 1 leveler on one side of our travel trailer. We had a 38 foot travel trailer, tow vehicle, 2 SXS, trailer and another tow vehicle with plenty of space. Behind our site was a flowing creek/river, and we were able to open the back window in our bunkhouse to have a nice view. The owners are exceptional and so pleasant. They keep everything maintained and are beyond helpful. Approachable, friendly and always willing to help! I would absolutely recommend this place and will return to this same campground. Access to the trails was very convenient and just over 1/4 mile from the grounds. Both Rockhouse and Buffalo Mountain can be accessed via Devil Anse trail. Very convenient!

In the very near future you will see a new office/general store along with additional rv sites added near our trail gate, after that will come more cabins opposite those rv sites. WOW, that's a lot to accomplish in just 1 1/2 years, we're literally moving "mountains" of dirt ! My problem is we just can't build them quick enough for all the riders who have expressed overwhelming interest in staying with us. We have a 46'fifth wheel (50amp) with full size crew cab dually and was able to get pulled without any issues. They have full water & sewer, picnic tables, fire ring/grill. They also have a shower house that offers 3 small shower rooms but each one has its own shower, toilet, and sink... we actually used the shower house instead of our 5th wheel. Wifi internet is also offered, we only ran one roku/TV and two cell phones and we didnt habe much trouble with service. They have cabin rentals, which a couple & kids stayed in one of the one bedroom cabins. Q

There are technically two different grounds for RVers and I was happy to be back in the farther grounds (less traffic noise from street and more privacy). It is lacking a few amenities. Although they are in the works, there are only port-a-potties around the campground and no laundry facility at this time. If long terming here, I would prefer to have at least a place to do laundry. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

We wanted to spend time hiking in Grayson Highlands & were late to the game on Labor Day weekend & all the camping was booked. After some digging we found this place & it was about 25 mins from the park & an easy drive. If you have ATT there is no service. We lost it about 30 mins before arrival. Our GPS still worked & it was nice to unplug but just a heads up. The important highlights: -Bathrooms are clean & well maintained. -Showers are hot & we never had to wait. -Must pay in cash -Dog friendly. My dog could be offleash & run around. No major roads around & very laidback. -The sights are right by the water so you can hear the creek & the views are nice -each site has a picnic table & firepit. The campsites are pretty close which was hard when 3 carloads with about 15 people showed up & made camp at the site next door. They weren't particularly cognizant of their noise levels & we couldn't sleep until around 11 when I finally went out to ask them to please keep it down. They only stayed one night & that's just par for the course sometimes with camping. The next night was much quieter & we slept great. All in all a great campground. An hourish from Boone & Blowing Rock. Bring supplies in as there aren't any major grocery stores around. Would stay there again if we were in the area.
