Both my mom and grandma had nothing but good things to say. The staff was attentive and caring. Always smiling. I wanted to specifically say that a nurse assistant named Sherri was stellar. Also Carrie , Dwayne and Jerome. Not only is it rare to find a good place like this, but to even find one good employee. Here there were many. Also my grandma couldn't stop talking about the food. Don't let this place fool you by the looks. My mom said that it looks old and that worried her at first. But it was clean and cared for. Just aging. Do consider this hospital. The results for my son were amazing - he was ahead of the curve for average and necessary hand functions until age 5... despite having 4 fingers that didn't bend or have full strength. When he aged out of Sheryl's demographic range and had further surgeries, we were paired up with Ansley who has been wonderful as well. She helped him regain function in his dominant hand after an amputation and helped him learn to rely on his other hand while he was in a cast. She shows him strategies and teaches him not to give up - all to show him that there's nothing he can't do. For a 6 year old who has been with PTA providers for 5+ years of his life, we've been nothing but pleased.

I've always been impressed with the ability of the therapists to create a special bond with my child. In the waiting room I see children excited to get to work and often greeting their therapists with a hug. The staff at PTA are very knowledgable, professional, and caring. Your an orthopedic urgent care!!! What the fuck does that have to do with seeing me on a regular basis??!! Take care of the medical situation that brought me to a URGENT CARE!! So it cost me 75 dollars to be refused service bacause I wouldn't switch to them.

Also none of the staff at EmergeOrtho were communicating with me as to when I'd be seen or that they were running behind. It's hard to be sympathetic when the staff don't seem to care that they're making you wait an absurd amount of time to even be seen. My appointment was before noon, so the fact that they were already that backed up that early in the day isn't a good thing. When I arrived, I waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes before asking the front desk if they were still able to see me. She said they'd bring me back in 2 minutes. I was taken back about 5 minutes later (not a big deal) and the attendant who took me back to the exam room told me the doctor would be right with me. I then sat for over 20 minutes without being seen by anyone. At that point, I was over it so I got up and left.

TERRIBLE BILLING PRACTICES!!!!…read more One of the first bills I received was shockingly high (It was the first bill we received after 7-8 months of services). I went through the line items and found that they billed me for a service that my son was not receiving. I reached out to the billing department and they acknowledged that there was a billing error and corrected the bill. We switched providers because they were unable to provide services at my son's school. Several months after discontinuing services we received a bill from them for several random dates of service from the past. We expressed our frustration with the delayed bill in September and thought that our account was settled then. To our astonishment, we just received another bill for services rendered 11 MONTHS AGO! My household receives bills from dozens of different providers. These bills arrive within ~30 days of services rendered with the only exception being Raleigh Therapy Services. When billing is delayed by so long it makes it difficult for personal accounting and creates stress and anxiety because amongst several recent medical bills, it is an unexpected expense. I had to spend the entire day yesterday combing through records from RTS and my insurance company to try to understand why I was receiving a claim 11 months after services were rendered and to try to understand if I would be receiving any future bills (which there are still 2 more claims that haven't been processed). I have worked as a health care provider billing insurance for medical services as well as my current position at a medical software billing company. I understand that insurance issues can be very frustrating and sometimes take several phone calls to resolve. The provider we switched to, K&M Therapeutics, billed for the same service (plus a new one) and we received bills monthly starting 30 days from service and they were billing the same insurance companies. It seems like they need to hire an adjudication claims specialist to have someone dedicated to trouble shooting these issues so that they can be resolved in a timely manner. My son really liked the therapists at RTS..... this is just a billing inefficiency issue leading to a poor customer experience. I believe it can be fixed if they want to put the effort into trying to.

Our son has worked with two therapists at Raleigh Therapy Services - one for speech and one for…read morewriting. Both of his therapists are wonderful. The therapists meet him at his school during regular school hours, which saves us a lot of hassle and time. Our son loves seeing his therapists. He has had such a positive experience. The improvement in his speech is remarkable, and he has gone from hating holding any writing instrument to drawing, coloring, and practicing letters and numbers. Amazing! We are so grateful for all Raleigh Therapy Services has done for our son.
