Design provided looked pretty good, but after spending over $400 dollars on suggested plants found that the plants suggested were not necessarily perennial, some plants and positioning according to said plan outweighed or caused other plants from growing/surviving, and some plants suggested were not ideal to the amount of sun exposure for the area specified. Overall, it was a waste of time and money. I would not recommend.

The most egregious part of the experience, however, was that they drove in the front yard and sank into the yard cracking our water pipe leading to the house. Not only did they not fix the sunken area from their tires but they have refused any compensation for the damage to our piping. We are now faced with a $10,000 repair due to their carelessness. I would never recommend this company for any reason. If you are going to do work in someone's yard then you should stand behind any damage you cause. Stay away from this company.

Brad is awesome at recommending plants, trees, shrubs and other ways to enhance your landscape an his guys are quick, efficient and very nice people! Honestly, I couldn't be happier with how it turned out and I highly recommend Carolina Outdoor to anyone looking for the very best landscapers!

But, their services have steadily worsened. Here's my general experience, though yours may differ. 1. When I called, it almost always went to voicemail. 2. I would rarely get a call back, even over multiple days. 3. I would have to call multiple times, leave multiple messages, and eventually would hear back. 4. Work was not completed in a timely manner. We're really busy was the standard excuse. Unsurprisingly, invoices were sent out quickly. Most recently, I had an especially bad experience. My irrigation system had a leak. It took over 2 weeks before someone came out. It was not fixed. How do I know? It was still leaking. Rather than leaving voicemails and waiting another 2+ weeks, I called someone else and they fixed it the very next day. As you might expect, Carolina Outdoor Care still expects me to pay.

Friday (7/10/20) and Monday (7/13/20), I had my old tile patio taken out and a new concrete slab…read morepatio put in. The workers did a great job with the patio itself, but in the process, they broke bricks/stones, and destroyed my yard, which I've been working on for months to grow in. They washed their cement covered hands and equipment in my yard, so there's cement dried onto the ground in my yard. When they excavated they tossed all of their dirt on my lawn, covering up all the hard work I've done. I reached out to Jay the owner, and he basically said "it happens", but it would be $300 just for them to lay topsoil over their mess. After a lot of back and forth, he got his guys to come out, put down topsoil, and clean up their mess which included tile remnants and concrete debris all over my yard which my dogs could easily hurt themselves on. But they didn't bother to clean up the concrete dried onto the opposite side of my lawn from where the patio was put in. So how does that happen? Carelessness and disrespect for customers' property. While they did clean up some of their mess, only after Jay and I went back and forth, they could have easily prevented this by putting tarps down for the dirt, and not washing cement off in my yard. And with all these issues, Jay couldn't even come himself to check on what his guys did. I will say they are good at putting in a concrete patio, but they could care less about your property that gets damaged in the process.

If you complain, they simply stop coming…read more I have been a customer of StoneCreek for nearly 3 years. The problem at this company is how you are treated by the owner/manager if you have any question or issue whatsoever. I have reached out to him maybe three times over the years for very simple questions or issues. Every single time I have been met with utter disdain, condescension, and astoundingly nasty treatment. For the cost of this lawn service, there should someone willing to address your issues when something is not right. Not here. Be prepared to be belittled and talked down to, because that is how this business operates. Here is my advice: if you do decide to overpay for this lawn service, please be warned that homes scheduled early in the week take priority over those with service later in the week. For example, I was a Thursday lawn on their schedule which means that I get bumped on Thanksgiving week each year. Totally understandable. But, if the Monday through Wednesday lawns get service Thanksgiving week, wouldn't it make sense to start with the Thursday lawns the next week? Not when management is too lazy to adjust the schedule to accommodate all paying customers. Instead, Monday-Wednesday lawns get another service at the start of the next week because 'people like to get service on the same day' (his exact words when explaining his reasoning). Therefore, Thursday and Friday lawns get the shaft during the peak of leaf season. New fescue grass sprouting all around from seeding in October, then you add piles of wet rotting leaves on top, and get no service for 2 full weeks (or more)? It simply suffocates the new growth every year. Why couldn't he just communicate with M-W clients that they won't receive service on their regular day the week after thanksgiving? Too much to ask, or likely just managerial laziness. And what do I get for asking for the 2nd time in 3 years about this very issue? 'This week will be your last visit.' I pay the same as M-W people, so why should they get service twice before I get one? Instead of addressing my concern, he takes his mower and walks away. No warning, nothing. Simply made the decision to break our agreement and not show up again. I even gave him 2 additional weeks to make it right and to complete the service that I didn't receive in November, or reimburse me for said service. He tells me to stop emailing him and to let it go. In other words, I already have your money and now refuse to provide the service that was paid for. I'm ecstatic about not dealing with this jerk any longer. See for yourself the piles of leaves after 2 weeks and the dead growth from underneath after they finally showed up for their 'last visit'. I paid north of $400/month, nearly $5k/year, always on time, for weekly lawn service. And instead of taking care of a customer with understanding and compassion, he simply refuses to come back. Sad. Too many options out there to deal with this nonsense. Lastly, I'm sure he will come on here and talk about me being mean to him as the reason for not coming back. Mike, if you took care of my issue and stop letting it happen year after year, I will be nice as can be. If you value customer service, stay FAR away from StoneCreek. You have been warned.
