They were kind, professional, and gave me a clear quote over the phone. When we arrived, the same warmth and friendliness continued in person. The nurse was equally wonderful--caring, attentive, and reassuring throughout our visit. NP Kenneth Gilmet took the time to read the X-ray with us in the office and clearly explained the break. He was incredibly informative, compassionate, and made sure we understood everything. Having visited many urgent and emergency clinics over the years, I can confidently say this was one of the best experiences I've had. The entire team provided superb service from start to finish, and I would absolutely choose to come back here over other clinics.

We checked in on a Saturday afternoon after dealing with a terrible cough and breathing issues for over a week. We were told the wait would be close to two hours. She checked in and they quickly took the $75 payment so she could be seen. The wait was not two hours which was nice. She was misdiagnosed and the PA told her to calm down when he said she just had a bad case of the flu (turned out to be pneumonia which is much worse). We would not have come to urgent care if she wasn't in extreme pain. To be spoken down to is not acceptable. We had to see a different provider the following Monday to be given a correct diagnosis and be prescribed an antibiotc and medication to deal with the actual issue.

I made a reservation/appointment for 11:30 because I thought I had a sinus infection. I showed up 10 minutes early as requested and was quickly dismissed out the door and told it would be a telehealth visit. I complied and sat in my car. The triage nurse called me just a few minutes later to go over some intake questions and said the doctor would be right in the video call. I waited over an hour before I called the clinic and asked where the doctor was. She quickly gets on and tells me "well it just sounds like a cold so just take some mucinex and call me back if it's not better in 14 days." This call with her took all of 3 minutes. Knowing my body, I went to a different urgent care to actually be seen - I have a sinus infection and the flu. The quality of care has seriously decreased. I get it - everyone is stressed out and overworked - but to simply be refused care is unacceptable.

At minimum, she should tell a person so they can go elsewhere . She did nothing in a way of service. Very disappointed in medical professionals-my profession. Update: no doctor consultation is needed for covid testing . People have scheduled testing or gone to testing sites for a year for free but this place has you call to then have to have a tele health call to take the test. American healthcare is pathetic. All about money not health.

The check in process was seamless and the nurse and PA I dealt with were an absolute delight to deal with. They listened to my concerns, got me some appropriate meds and I was on my way. I provided the BP readings over the phone. She told me they could see me after placing me on a brief hold. I arrived and filled out the basic paperwork, she took my BP and (I assume she was a medtech), told me I had to pay $160 up front before I could be seen and evaluated. I reluctantly paid it. She brought me back to a room for my Evaluation and the Health Care Professional who was either a Nurse Practitioner or PA I believe, who immediately told me she could not see me. She told me I needed to go to the Emergency Room as they cannot provide care for this problem in this Urgent Care Setting. Here is where it gets interesting...I returned to the front desk person and requested a refund since I was not evaluated. She told me she could not give me my money back and told me to call the Office Manager. I have not only called Carbon Health Billing, as well as this Carbon Health Urgent Care clinic several times to receive my refund. Billing told me that the Office Manager at the clinic will call me back. Today is 1/13/25 and I have not heard from them. Additionally, I called my health insurance company and they also paid $160 to Carbon Health. All in all, $320.00 was paid to this clinic for the medtech to take my BP. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! I am contesting the charge with my credit card company and providing a report to the Fraud Department with my Health Insurance company. I am truly in shock that they have such poor ethics. DO NOT use them if you are in need of Urgent Care. They are very shady!!!!!

Between wait times and billing issues- go somewhere else…read more They rarely run on time, even though you are required to arrive 30 min before your appt, it regularly takes them up to an hour after your appt time to actually see you. Late last year I waited over 2 hours past my appt time to be seen, as the office had an extended closure over lunch for an all hands meeting that they did not notify their patients of...by the time they arrived back the waiting room was full, and it took forever for them to work through all the people that had arrived for appts while they were at their all hands. This place almost never gets things coded correctly to bill to insurance. They ask you to sign one set of paperwork before you arrive that explains "surprise billing" and notes if they are in network, then when you arrive they give you different sets of paper that are vague in terms of what they will bill and don't acknowledge if they are in network. They will verbally tell you if your insurance is expected to cover but won't put that in writing and you must sign a waiver that you will pay all costs. They also ask that you sign another "surprise medical bills form" to protect them in case your insurance is no longer in network. They will tell you this is their process and their lawyers require it. When they code something incorrectly or bill twice for the exact same service it takes many phone calls to resolve as they provide codes to a different dept at the hospital and the billing people don't regularly talk to the people who provide the codes.

The front desk is so sweet, very nice and welcoming. A dreadful process, but the techs and nurses made my experience comfortable and easy. Since I used to be an advanced tech at UCH ED and Gen Surge, I knew I was in good hands. You will be too! The mammogram and ultrasound didn't take long, I won't lie though, it's a little uncomfortable and a bit painful. But, in the end... it's so worth it! The Breast Center is on the 3rd floor in the outpatient building, there's plenty of self parking and or complimentary valet. The department has its own wing, huge with lockers and private changing rooms. Before they start with your mammo, they will explain the difference between 2D and 3D imaging. Some PPO insurance will cover the 3D and some does not. It's best to ask your insurance provider before hand. The best part, you'll find out the results right there shortly after your ultrasound sound! Which is pretty amazing!!! There are doctors working to check your images before you are discharge. :) I got my go for an Augmentation, no abnormalities and or swollen lymph nodes! Woo!! I highly recommend them!
