Stayed at Destiny RV Resort in Phoenix and honestly it was a really bad experience. The RV spots are set up poorly. When you park and set everything up, the next person's septic hookup is literally right by your picnic table and grill, like a couple feet away. You can smell it, especially when it gets hot, and it's pretty nasty. The pool is overloaded with chlorine and most of the lights don't even work. I'd say around 70% of the lights are out, including the ones inside the pool, so it just feels poorly maintained. The bathrooms look like they haven't been updated in decades. Everything is worn down and cheap. Even something basic like a toilet paper holder isn't there, the roll just sits on a rail leaning against the wall. The dump area smells terrible, like rotting waste, and overall a lot of the park smells like cigarettes and septic. For $112 a night, it's honestly not worth it at all. This place feels like a 1 star at best and I definitely won't be coming back. Only positive thing I can say is the security guy was really nice. read more

We arrived after dark and were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a staff member who was waiting for us with everything we needed to get set up. Super friendly and made the late check-in smooth and easy -- definitely appreciated that. The next morning, we officially checked in at the front office. The staff was helpful, but not particularly warm or welcoming. We were also required to leave a $20 deposit for a key to access the onsite facilities (pool, gym, laundry, bathrooms), which felt a little odd. That said, the facilities were in great shape. The bathrooms were clean and spacious, and the pool was heated -- always a nice bonus. While we didn't use the laundry room, it looked well-equipped with plenty of machines. They also offer propane fill-ups, which is convenient. Our pull-thru site was paved, flat, and had well-placed hookups. The presence of fruit trees gave the grounds a bit of charm -- definitely a step up from the typical open-lot feel. The campground was well-maintained and tidy throughout our stay. It was also very quiet. We barely saw or interacted with other guests, so if you're looking for a sense of RV community or camp camaraderie, this probably isn't the spot. Night lighting was minimal -- a plus for ambiance and stargazing. Location-wise, it's solid. About 25 minutes to downtown Phoenix, and only 10 minutes to most major stores and conveniences. Being just a little off the highway made it easy to get around the area. Here's the rub: for what it is, the park felt overpriced. At $76/night, it's steep -- especially for those of us under 55, since many RV parks in the Phoenix area cater to 55+ only. We stayed just a few weeks and it added up quickly. When we let the office know we'd be leaving a day early, there was no refund, despite the park being only about half full. We were given the usual "we have reservations" response, but it felt like a missed opportunity for better service. Overall: *Clean and quiet *Good location *Nice amenities *Not much community *On the pricey side *No refund flexibility If they offered a weekly rate or trimmed down the nightly price, it'd be easier to recommend. Stopped in the check it out. From what I could see it looked nice enough. I wasn't allowed to look around much. The lady in the front stated "covid protocol". Thought that was over. Front desk lady was a bit curt. They did not have availability. She talked to me like I should know the dates I wanted would not be available. She added me to a waiting list. I think? I can't believe no one has reviewed this place in over a year. We stayed the month of June 2024. $975 Space rental $431 for electricity!! I felt this was high due to we weren't at the trailer for 10-14 hours a day because we were caring for someone. So it was all AC. I could imagine what it would have been had we been there all day. Every afternoon our power went out for 1-3 hours. We had someone check it out on a Sunday (only day we were there at that time) and they said someone would come over in the morning. That never happened. One lady in the office was so unpleasant to talk to I didn't want to deal with her cause I would have cussed her out and we didn't want to get evicted. I did speak to Susan after the final bill came in and she went over the bill and explained that's why so many rigs there have window ACs as they are way more efficient than rooftop ACs. So needless to say we dealt with it. I was feeling ripped off until I spoke with Susan. She is the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1. 9am the bathrooms were always locked. This is a gated, full timer park why in the hell are the bathrooms ever locked except for cleaning? I will never stay at this place again in the summer. read more

The power is always surging and ruining your appliances in your trailer, and when your power goes out ruins $500 worth of food you just bought at Costco. They just laugh at you. They tell you they don't have the money to fix the electrical problems. they have fans on their electrical boxes with locks on them so that the inspectors can't see the fans on their electrical boxes to keep them cool there's power surge going on. They run their power lights off of your electricity and charge you for it. You tell them your dog is contacted worms and is sick and dying, and has been at both dog runs and they don't treat the dog parks for it,or quarantine them off until they're treated properly. They just use dish soap on the dog parks. They put spy cameras throughout the park to see what you're doing in eavesdrop I was told they have a camera that looks like an orange that they put in the orange trees whether that's true or not. I don't know but that was by management. You can't let people in to the gate. They don't have security after 9 o'clock so if you let someone in then you get in trouble so you're basically locked in like a prisoner you're not allowed to have deliveries inside the gate or even have a Uber pick you up at your door you have to walk for blocks even if you're disabled to get to the front..They run work without permits all the time !including electrical and they lock their fire gates with padlocks. if there was a fire you couldn't get out!they charge about $1000 a month rent now which is ridiculous! for all these violations some of the meters have caused fires and almost burnt people's trailers down while they were at work APS said the wires are melting and an electrician I knew said the place is gonna burn to the ground it's not a safe place and when the power goes out in 118° weather for four days, they give no relief to the people or any kind of money back on their Lot rent. They also do not flush the water to sanitize after repairing their leaks .they have which is just about weekly so there's parasites and dirt things in the water that come in through the dirt where their leaks are!! And it all comes into your trailer and ruined your hot water tanks and everything else!! they have landscapers patching the leaks up where it's a business. It should be a certified plumber with permits through the city. I'm glad to be out of there. They give you illegal one day eviction notices if they get mad at you!!!! as a constant hot bed of hell I was threatened by one of the receptionist workers in the front office that she was gonna get me evicted,and then next thing you know, my lease was not renewed .. her name was Shelley. I don't remember what her husbands name was drunk abusive couple. when they threaten me (her and her husband at the pool )they were drunk off their butts, and threatened to kick my ass, and throw me in the pool. Her husband did it stood over me, and then threaten my neighbor as well to kick his ass. instead of firing them they refuse to renew my lease. and I had all this on video and they even called the police on me and they said because I told him the hell's Angels would come in here and visit him that I was threatening him with organized crime. Can you imagine that it was all on video. They got the cops in their back pocket because they wouldn't do nothing. I had a sergeant out there and everything and I had this man standing over me telling me he knew I was handicapped and disabled, and he was gonna pick me up throw me in the pool. I told the police because they did nothing. They didn't even file charges on them even though I asked him to the Goodyear police department that figures that next time he touched me, they would find him all right am I gonna say more than that but they heard me! what a hell of a place! if you wanna live in trailer trash with your power, going off all the time, and the water full of parasites, cause they don't flush the system when they're done repairing their weekly water leaks!!they don't even notify you when the power is off, or when the water is off !!so I could never leave my dog alone in the trailer because it reaches 100 outside..and probably 150° within 20 minutes on a hot day in the trailer.. and she would've died. They don't notify you if the power is off they don't notify you the water is off. It's a constant mess over there full of violations and they have to be paying the city of Goodyear off because nobody will take care of it. and when you complain to the front staff, Tammy tells you that the boys said they don't have the money to make any repairs to the electrical grid or the water even though it may cause mass fires oh and the locks they put on the boxes were after I called APS for my power box surging on the weekend, so there is a record of the power surge with APS. read more

We stayed 3 nights to see spring training games. Would have given a 2 except the internet was great. didn't like how nearly every inch of the place was used to pack in RVs and trailers. The 2 dog areas were very very small. Had to walk around the long roads in the park to get to the common areas. No trails criss-crossed the roads. Woken up at 7 am every morning to the roar of Air Force jets from Lewis AFB. No one in the office on a Sunday even though it is called a "resort". I was not impressed with the amenities. We were stressed that we wouldn't be able to pull through when we wanted to leave due to narrow parking spots that, if they were filled, would have not allowed us to pull through. Fortunately the trucks were gone the day we left. Nothing in the area to walk to. Will be looking for a better place to stay next year! read more

Love this place! First impression- the quiet location... (apart from air force jets flying over every so often = THANK YOU Military!)... Upon entering main office- clean grounds - well taken care of... thought & attention. The Staff! Helpful- Kind- Enjoyable.... We're staying a year - & hopefully more. We've lived here a month & are so happy God led us here. We're full time RV'ers & by far the best location we've stayed to date. Destiny just redid their pool & spa & we can't wait to test it out! It's absolutely beautiful.... It's a neat thing to feel like family in a place like an RV Resort... people looking out for one another etc. I absolutely give 5 . WORST STAY AT AN RV RESORT BEFORE. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. STAY AT ANY OTHER PLACE. UNFRIENDLY front office staff. The motto of everyone else there is: "I don't know, it's someone else's job" or "I don't know, they don't tell me anything". The State's maximum security prison is less than a mile away. It seems like they recruit their office staff from there. The only thing they can be relied on to do is check your electricity meter regularly. The electrical issues mentioned in prior reviews from over a year ago still remain. Beware of staying here unless you have a good surge protector. They lock all restrooms at inconvenient times. There were many occasions when EVERY restroom was locked or out of order, leaving ZERO restrooms open for hundreds of guests. I get that remodeling and repairs are necessary, but they never repaired or opened several restrooms as well as out of order toilets during our entire month stay. Their pool sign warns incontinent people (fortunately I'm not one) to use the restroom before entering the pool, but they permanently deadbolt the access door to the clubhouse restroom from the pool area. Good luck! The pool furniture is cheap plastic, worn and dangerous to use. In the gym, some of the equipment doesn't work and hasn't been fixed. They allow dogs in there, even in these COVID times. It's disgusting and they don't care because it's their friend (of the unfriendly women at the front desk. They are the WORST-- so rude and indignant!) They use "Tengointernet". Anyone who has tried to use tengointernet in the past will cringe when they see the tengointernet logo. Frequent log in issues are a pain. Prior reviews complain about water being shut off without warning. This happened once during our stay. Electricity shut off once and water once. The only bright spot: David the maintenance worker is friendly and hard working. They call themselves an RV "Resort". Having a pool and an underground fitness dungeon does not qualify them as a "resort". I suggest a name change to "Green Pool Water RV Park" or "Perryville Prison Annex and RV Park". They only care about the Snowbirds and mistreat the off-season guests as inconveniences. This park is hopeless read more

We stayed here in our RV to get repairs done in Avondale. Stacey and Tammy the office managers were so helpful and went beyond great. The place is spotless and very safe. Even the cleaning help in the bathrooms was thoughtful and paying attention to details. We felt right at home and would definitely come back. read more

Last month we rented an RV and took a trip to see family for the first time since the pandemic. "It'll be an adventure!" we thought. Turns out, we are not RV people. It was a long trip in a very loud RV and I don't think I would do it again. THAT said, Destiny RV was the highlight of our trip! It was our last night of an 8 day trip and the place was fabulous. It was 100 degrees in Goodyear and after we parked our RV, the first thing we did was check out the pool. It was so nice and we basically had the place to ourselves. I would like to be able to review actually staying at this RV park, but after the absurd cancellation policy I will be staying somewhere else when we are actually able to make it to Arizona. We were not able to go on our trip due to COVID this year. We were traveling with my parent and my dad is at high risk at a time when cases in Phoenix were on the rise. We cancelled our reservation in plenty of time to be within the guidelines sent to us on the reservation confirmation. When I called the person who answered said the cancellation fee would be $25. When I questioned her at the bottom of the confirmation it says $10, she stated that was a minimum. Every other resort I had to cancel was $10 and some even waived their fee due to Covid complications. We will definitely not be rebooking here in the future. read more

I would not recommend this resort to anyone. We stayed there less than a month (during summer) and our power has gone out multiple times. Today alone the main breaker went off more than 12 times within a couple of hours. We had to sit in the truck with our dogs because it was so hot. We paid $700 without electric, this is absolutely ridiculous. (I'd also like to note that when we called to make the reservation, they stated that they only had premium spots available but today said, there was a spot towards the back we could move to) The staff says that it's not their fault and that everyone in the area is having he same problem but this is absolutely NOT true. My husband is an experience lineman and looked at the main breaker. It was overloaded and not equipped to handle over 12 residents at 50 amps. Meanwhile there were more than 24 spots connected to it. We've never had this issue at any other Rv park we've stayed at in AZ. We've stayed at RV parks in Casa Grande, Tucson, Yuma, Phoenix... we've spent summers in AZ with the temps getting up to 117 and again, NEVER had an issue. This park is NOT equipped to have residents during the summer. I will say, the security guard was very helpful and friendly. I felt bad that he had to sit by the breaker (during summer) for hours just to flip the switch when the power would go out. read more

Would NOT Stay unless there was nowhere else to stay. Terrible communication. We arrived at 4:30am and no key or security to let us in. Nothing left for us. They called the night before to confirm our check in and so we paid already. When we finally made contact with a worker there she said we need to wait till 9am. My husband insisted since we have our special needs daughter in vehicle. To use facilities including shower or bathroom you need to give cash deposit of $20. If you want your deposit back make sure you leave when they are open. We left of Sunday so we were out of luck. Showers are sketchy and shower head was way low. One needs to bend down to wet head unless your 4 foot. Never again!! read more

We were fortunate to reserve for 3 nights at the last minute, because this place fills up fast. The office was careful to explain that the office closed at 4 pm, but that there was a security person to let us in after hours. We arrived after hours and didn't wait long for someone to come and take us to our spot. (Security guy stays busy helping other newcomers drive to their spots, as well as taking emergency calls from residents. The resort was beautiful, the spaces were large enough, and the laundry and pool facilities were spotless. During the day the place is full of maintenance folks keeping the park clean. There are orange and grapefruit trees everywhere, and free for the picking! If you walk around the park you see beautiful Mountain Views. This is definitely one of the most beautiful rv parks we have ever been to! read more

In these hectic Covid -19 times flexibility of circumstances seems to be the norm....Rolling with the punches. I recently made a reservation in an afternoon to stay here not the next night but the following night. This my reservation was less than 72 hrs in the future. I ended up needing to cancel and Tammy was really compassionate and helpful in getting my $ refunded. Greatly appreciated as $ is important as well as the fact Is been on the road for two weeks by then to see a family member in Hospice care. Really appreciate the extra effort. Check in was easy and friendly We were shown to our spot which was a nice pull thru. We found the park to be very clean and well maintained. The grounds keeper starts the leaf blower at 7 am and blows fir hours! Seriously! He came between each tightly packed camper and blew off every imaginary speck of dust, on, between and even under our neighbors' outside rug!!!! What a nightmare!!!! read more

We went to AZ unfortunately so I could go to the Mayo Clinic, not for a fun vacation. This was during their high season and they were booked solid. I called and told them my situation and the women that run this place are the most thoughtful caring group that you could hope to meet. They went out of their way to accommodate us during a very stressful time, they worked their magic and moved us to the top of the list for a spot and I can't thank them enough. God worked his magic to get us in, there were NO spots anywhere in town everyone was booked solid. Sometimes you run into people in your life that truly care about people. We ended up staying in Phoenix due to a medical emergency on our way to Sedona. The folks at Destiny were professional, friendly and accommodating with our last minute reservation. The park is extremely clean and well maintained. Loved how someone obviously has pride in the park with all of the Halloween detail out front. This place is a little hidden gem! We love the security. The front office - Tammy and crew are awesome!!! It definitely fills up during high season so make your reservations. They are pet friendly. We never used any of the facilities but saw people who did and they looked happy. Our satélite didn't work but the cable they offer did the trick. Sites are small with minimal privacy. Nice RV Resort. Felt a little out of place in our 21ft travel trailer but every guest we was nice. The attendant at the gate was courteous and professional. The facilities were very clean. The price was what I expect for nicer parks. The site we were in had both 30 and 50 amp connections. The WiFi was the best I've ever experienced in an RV park. During non-COVID times it would be cool to see the gym. The pool looked clean and large. The only gripe I had was how far back the sewer connection was. Would be nicer if it was closer to mid point in the site or if it had two connections. read more

For parking lot camping this was a nice place. Very quiet and security gate. The fruit trees in between spaces was a nice touch. The only thing that was weird, we are traveling with another couple and I requested two spaces together. They said that wasn't possible. There were 2 empty spaces right next to us the whole time we were there so that was annoying. read more

We love this rv park!! We drove all the way from Alaska, and stayed at a lot of rv parks, but this was the best! Very friendly staff! Very clean! Nice big sites with patios & picnic tables at every site and most have trees, so you have some shade from the hot sun! I can't speak to the services but we were denied booking a campsite because we have 3 kids and they have a max of 4 people. I understand putting a max of 4 adults, but 2 adults and 3 kids? Sounds like a way to discriminate against families from staying at your RV park. Total BS read more
