While my vehicle was being repaired at Desoto Collision Center in Olive Branch MS, my dashboard received new damage. The shop did not deny the cracks happened while the vehicle was in their possession; but they are denying they are liable. I agree with the reasoning the shop gave for one of the cracks and thankfully my insurance company finally agreed to cover the expense for one dash panel replacement; however, my contact at the shop emphatically insists my insurance company should cover the full expense since this new damage occurred while they were in the process of the insurance covered repair. Today is the day I received the "final answer" from the shop about my dash. Today I was told that there is no proof the crack was not there when the vehicle was brought to their shop. But wait, I have photos to prove this and I was present when the shop did the walk-thru of my vehicle, hmmm. I had to sign off on all the noted pre-existing issues before they would start work on my vehicle. Did they forget they already admitted the cracks happened while the truck was being repaired? Now the shop has shifted blame to GM, since my model is known for developing cracks in the dashboard. Really? The GM defect just decided to make its ugly appearance at the very moment their technician was doing a repair around and above my dashboard. They must think I am pretty stupid. Today I was informed the owner, Ty Schoppe himself (whose full name I retrieved from the Better Business Bureau website), has been informed on my point of view, and stated Desoto Collision Center is not paying for my dash repair. And on top of that, yesterday I was asked if I was coming to pick up the vehicle. Today I am told they are not releasing the vehicle to me because they have not received the supplement payments from the insurance company yet. Nothing surprises me at this point. I wrote this review hoping that others will read about my experience and reconsider trusting Desoto Collision Center for your next auto repair. read more
