Wanted to put in a review after being blown away now that the place is under new management, it has been updated and redone since I was there last. The makeover of the place has made this my new favorite lifestyle club all the rooms have been redone, and the new management team is great and lots of fun. The crowd was diverse and social and we got to party till 5am! Also it's the only club I know of with a dungeon area available if that's your thing. read more

The owner is extremely rude. We got into a confrontation that he started and I asked him to unlock the door so that I could get out and he didn't at first. He went to get his wife so that she could get in on the confrontation. I had to threaten to call the police to report him keeping me there against my wishes and then he unlocked the door which was at least 15 minutes after I pushed the door to get out, realized it was locked, and asked him to let me out. True story with witnesses I will never go there again! read more

This place is absolute TRASH, this place is the epitome of BAD BUSINESS and the only reason it's one star up there is because i can't give it 5 NEGATIVE stars. Honestly the owner Candy and her husband are scam artists. The nice looking furniture that's in the pictures is broken and very uncomfortable to even sit on. And the sad part is me and my husband have given this place not one but TWO opportunities to get it right. I'm all for black businesses and supporting small business and i love the lifestyle so i really tried to give this place a try but honestly i wouldn't let my WORST enemy have sex or even be nude in that place. It's UNSANITARY. The two times we have been there there are never Any sanitation stations no towels, no wipes, nobody changing sheets or cleaning furniture just a clueless guy lighting incense and candle wax to cover up the smell of that run down dusty office building. There are two levels and the stairs honestly have to be against some sort of building code it's dangerous to navigate that building especially in heels..(LADIES DO NOT WEAR HEELS, DRESSES, or GO COMMANDO IN THAT PLACE..just for your protection) and it's so HOT upstairs it's honestly like the owners don't care about their clientele cause once they get your money at the front desk they don't care about if the customer is comfortable or even have a good time. The first time we went was on newbie night on a Thursday and it was us and the guy at the desk (incense guy) who seriously pocketed our money in front of us then his lady friend came and he charged her NOTHING. We got charged $40 only because the owner made it seem like the attraction upstairs "spank daddy" and i quote "has a huge following and it's a PACKED ROOM upstairs" she sold us a dream and lied with a straight face. We searched every room and there was no spank show going on and no crowd it was people sitting around on their phones and twiddling their toes..i asked the incense lighting guy where was their main attraction "spank daddy" and he told us "he might be in there" as he pointed to a big dark room with nobody in it..he proceeded to go into that room look then came out and said that he didn't know where the guy was hisself..smh the whole vibe and energy in that place is far from sexy and you can't relax I'm sure they have roaches AND rats. Me and my husband were in there for less than ten minutes and half the crowd was out the door, once we realized we wasted our time there once again we were ready to GO, oh mind you it was a Friday night and they had NO DJ just a playlist and the dance floor is so small and empty, like the place is poorly designed and really poorly operated. Period. We went in with high expectations and continued to be disappointed over and over again. My husband and i are pretty laid back and if anything we can always have a good time just us two Alone but even once we tried to drink as it is byob, that place just continued to ruin our vibe. Between the raggedy stairs, the heat upstairs and the lack of anything to watch, and the false promises candy made at the door.single guys are on the prowl in that place. The last and final straw was since we were only there for less than 10 minutes we wanted a PARTIAL refund and they refused, in all honestly it was such a bad experience we deserved a full refund! They have a room with air mattresses and dirty black sheets and what seemed like a room with a projector that isn't functioning. The whole set up is disappointing. We tried to support a black business and they basically spit in our faces, we wasted time there, we thank The stars above that we met some really nice friends in the parking lot and we directed them down homestead to pendulum where we had a very good night and didn't walk out with possible STDs and crabs, lol we actually witnessed the workers at pendulum WORKING, changing sheets providing towels and the environment is way more intimate there. If you don't care about your partner and into playing on top of old semen spots go to DH And wild out, they give LS clubs in Houston a bad reputation. Obviously they are hurting for money since refunding our $40 was such a huge set back for them, if anything I'm relieved in knowing we assisted in feeding family so we basically provided community service to candy and her husband. So once we had that outlook we are ok in knowing we did our part to help locals in the community, but as far as the club don't waste your time! It's plenty of other lifestyle clubs in Houston, pendulum is right down the road, GO THERE! TMZ and Collete also are top 5! Hope this review saves someone the disappointment, time is the only thing in this world we can't get back, DONT waste yours at DH! read more

Great staff/owners. Candy, Tee, & Pinky made me feel right at home as if we were old friends and last night was only my second visit. Most of the crowd was very friendly, but some of the ladies were not. Candy & Tee let me know that Saturdays are the nights to go. So, I will be returning soon. With a $20 membership fee single ladies are free for a year, except special events and its BYOB. Can't beat that! The music is amazing-mostly rap and my favorite TEXAS & LOUISIANA RAPPERS. I found the venue to be very well decorated and clean. The lighting is perfect. read more

It started as a great place to go. But it seemed like it start being empty. Upstairs is very nice but there's always a security guard up there lurking when he should be downstairs doing his job. It would be a even nicer place if the owner wasn't texting at various hours trying to sleep with my woman after it was made clear she was not into him. It's like he keeps crossing the line by trying to invite her to come alone knowing that we're a couple. read more

First off...this place is the place to be if you want to have a good time. All my Houston Kinksters should be here. Staff is super friendly, music is great, the girl at the bar is super cute :). Visit: 4/28/2017 Club Utopia is conveniently located off the highway about 15 minutes south of downtown Houston. Like the other clubs we've experienced in Houston, it is also located in a strip mall type of area. We also noted that conveniently there is a large Double Tree across the street from the club within walking/stumbling distance. The club has red lights outside of the entrance as well as the name Utopia on the building. When you walk into the club there is a small entry area where you check in at. Check in was super quick because we were able to RSVP and pay the $20/couple entry fee online. When you walk through the doors after checking in, you enter the social area and dance floor. There are 10 four-person tables spread throughout the area as well as a total of 4 two-person high top tables. All of the tables have nice white coverings with the chairs having black fabric coverings which creates a simple but nice look. To the right is an open lounge type of area with four leather couches, three tables, and a stripper pole. There is also an area on the dance floor with two leather couches and a table which seemed like it could be a prime spot on a packed night for people watching. Towards the back of the social area is an elevated part which has a stripper pole and two of the high top tables mentioned earlier in the review. There was also more leather couch seating, as well as a spanking bench. We forgot to ask whether the spanking bench is always there or if it was specially brought by a member since it was the monthly Freaky Fetish Friday BDSM meet up. Next to the elevated area at the front of the social area is the dance floor. It is a nice sized dance floor which has a cage and shadow box in front. There was also a projection screen at the front of the dance floor. The DJ booth is located next to these, and the music was definitely on point (for our preference) the entire night. At the back of the room is where the bar is located. There were about six stools at the bar. We didn't need anything besides glasses so we aren't sure what all was offered in terms of mixers, but we did see what looked like an iPad set up at the bar for payment as well as two Vegas-style slushee machines. The bartender wasn't available until around 11:30, but in the meantime Charles the owner helped us with everything we needed to get our drinks set. When Cece the bartender did show up, she was definitely worth the wait because she was beautiful and very personable. On to the play rooms...there are rooms on the left side of the social area and the right side of the social area. In general, all of the rooms had hand sanitizer on the wall, air freshener, and spray alcohol as well as squirt-proof mattresses. There were also signs on every door explaining that if the door was closed, you are not allowed to enter it. On the left side of the social area, you enter into a large theater room with 8 love seats set up theater style in front of a large projection screen. There are two rooms connected to the theater room. One of them had an oriental theme with a small twin size mattress/bench area with a mirror on the wall. There was also a small leather bench in the corner. The other room was a voyeur type of room with a plexiglass window that had the option to draw a curtain for privacy. There was a large Queen mattress in this room and it had more seating available around the perimeter of the room. There was also a mirror on the wall. On the right side of the social area, there was another voyeur room with three love seats in the room. This room had a very large plexiglass window which made viewing inside the room easy from the dance floor and social area. There was a small hallway connected to the voyeur room which had two benches and some pictures of Marilyn Monroe under black lights. The hallway led to the last playroom which held a four post queen sized bed. It was draped in sheer red curtains and the light in the room had a red bulb in it which created a nice ambience. Even though it was a smaller speciality crowd, everyone seemed to be having a great time. The people were very friendly, open to conversation, and many even initiated conversation which was refreshing. The owners, Kandi and Charles, were amazing and took the time to talk to us in depth throughout the night. We are definitely looking forward to going back on a packed Saturday night. read more

My wife loved black men and said i should too since i love toys. Well i was so enthused after a few times, that i took her out to "W----'s". we found stuffy white people and left. I only date women who date black men will "cuckhold" me and was sure Utopia would be perfect. I believe a person or couple should be allowed a one time free introductory pass and some type of visual badge or means of making your particular needs known to make the experience more successful.
