We decided to go with Cure-Rite Concrete after receiving a few other bids. Even though they weren't…read morethe cheapest option, we chose them because Jasper, Cristian, and their crew clearly stood out, and we're so glad we did. Their craftsmanship was exceptional, and their professionalism was evident from day one. From our first conversation, Jasper took the time to walk us through his portfolio and explain the different types of concrete, which really helped us feel confident in our decisions. We hired Cure-Rite Concrete for two major projects. The first was installing a brand-new three-car driveway with additional sidewalks and replacing the damaged concrete supporting the pillars of our garage apartment. The second project required them to travel nearly 20 miles to my parents' home to replace an aging boardwalk with a slanted cement walkway leading to the entrance, and to bulldoze a 50-year-old cement-and-brick pillar to make room for a small side patio. Their crew worked seamlessly across both properties, and impressively, both projects were completed within a week and done beautifully. We had a few minor hiccups along the way, but Jasper and Cristian were quick to respond and addressed every issue promptly and professionally. If you have a project involving new cement, do yourself a favor and hire Cure-Rite Concrete. In fact, my parents were so pleased with the results that they're planning to hire them again to install a cement back patio, a side patio, and to replace their old two-car driveway. Thank you, Jasper and Cristian, for delivering two projects with true excellence. Highly recommended!

TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY…read more Wife of the previous 1-star review describing the concrete seal / anti-scratch nightmare. SOOO happy Cristian responded to our review in the manner that he did -- perfectly shows who he and his company is, what they stand for, and what awaits you as a homeowner. 1) Admits that one of HIS EMPLOYEES DID make those promises to us. This is the only reason we decided to move forward with the job -- "nothing will scratch this product". Particularly our dogs and entry foot traffic. If we would've been told that there was ANY risk of scratches, we would've never moved forward and co toned looking for other treatments. We were deceived. 2) "Employee is no longer with us" Just because you fired someone one later, doesn't mean that the promises (lies), and work (mess) they did while representing your company magically go away. It was your employee, working under your name, take accountability, that's business. 3) "Sorry we couldn't keep your dog from scratching your floor" Again, dodging accountability and flipping the blame back to the homeowner. Outrageous statement to make after having admitted that his employee did make promises of "nothing will scratch this product", and us having specifically asked about - dogs, shoes, rocks, and dragging furniture. But what he will tell you now is, "you should've known". As if the homeowner is expected to be the expert. Extremely childish. 4) Despite whatever he may say now, IN WRITING, he agreed to pay back 50% of the job ($2500) over 10 months. And after 5 months, only $200 has been paid. He will dodge every call, every text, and when you do finally reach him, he will LIE and say "oh yes, I'll send it right now" , and then have you start the monthly chase cycle again. He made this agreement himself. Not a former employee. So what's the excuse now? Yet another example of Cristian and his company failing in their promises and commitments.

After our initial review, Steve (the owner) immediately called to make things right. He offered to come out immediately with his team to fix the issue free of charge. Steve came out early the next morning and quickly got us up and running. While we had a negative prior experience with Penco, the fact that Steve was wiling to stand behind his work / company name and work to make sure we were happy was so important! After this experience, we would definitely be willing to give Penco the benefit of the doubt and assume that our prior bad experience was just a one-off! Thanks Steve and team for responding quickly.

He widened our driveway which made it much easier for us to get in and out and have guests park. Our biggest project with him was the construction of our dream patio. Mike and his team quickly, efficiently and at a good price moved an AC unit and a sewage line to make room for a bigger patio. They then constructed an attached pergola, a brick and tile patio and a wall. He also installed sod and a sprinkler system. All of this was done very quickly, with beautiful construction and within the prices he gave us. We really appreciated that we could show Mike a photo and he could give us a fair quote and make it happen with solid advice thrown in when we had questions. We are absolutely in love with our patio/yard feel that it has completed our home.

I also thought they were a local company, wanting to support a small business and they run ads to make you think that they are (which I fell for) but they are a national company. You get handed off from person to person throughout the process with no continuity of service, which should have been my first flag to go with someone else. This pattern continued when on the day of service a man and wife show up at my door. No company logo on their clothes or truck. They also didn't speak English, so when I open the door the man just said "fence" and waits for me to walk him to the fence. I had done the video walk-through during the quote process but no one showed it to the two-person fence crew to prepare them so he doesn't know what to do. He calls someone else at the company (not the account rep I had previously spoken with) and puts them on speaker to have them try and translate between us as I'm explaining the job to be done. The person on the phone doesn't understand because they can't see it, and the guy on site can't understand because of the language issue. The fence ends up being completed but not to what was agreed to prior in the quote process. I'm not thrilled but figure it's not the end of the world because they said during the initial quote that if the fence was shorter than expected or supplies not used they would refund it back. That was a complete lie. I've spent months calling trying to get it sorted out and corrected. It takes weeks to get a return phone call from them. Then, they just stopped answering or returning calls altogether. I saw another review that said their phone system is set up to not answer calls they don't want to answer, and this is 100% true. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with for a service company.
