Run! The worst, poorly run business we have dealt with. Robin, the owner does not own up to her wrong-doings and in fact then decides to try to turn it on you.
She has an extreme issue with communication comprehension, and interprets, "let's make a strategic plan moving forward" to mean "we don't want to work with you anymore." I'm sorry but we are all adults, if I don't want to work with you anymore I will pick up the phone and call you and tell you that.
They charge for hours where there was no contribution being made at all by them and feel good about that. She comes to meetings and has her Sr. designer make all the comments and in fact literally looks to her to make a comment instead of commenting herself. It is very strange. If you know what you are doing then speak up! Hence our request to be more strategic moving forward so we weren't paying for them to stand around - I don't think that is too much to ask at $200 an hour.
We have several emails going back and forth trying to rectify the situation that she tried to cover things up or pretend like she didn't say only to finally bow out of the project because she can't admit that she was wrong. "Due to the combative nature of yesterday's phone conversation and general tone of dissatisfaction in our interactions and communications, we feel you will be best suited with another design firm." She wasn't able to produce reasoning as to why we would need to sign another proposal when the first proposal for our project we signed was never completed. It literally makes no sense and as soon as you tell her that she doesn't make sense you are "being combative"... We were just looking for answers and she can not even keep track of her own situation to know what to say or what not to say - it is pathetic.
They have a hard time understanding anything outside of their normal template of design and when you question if they are able to do "other looks" than what is on their website, they send you more of the same. It is literally like speaking a different language. They will try to push you into using the same items, flooring, etc that they use in all their jobs without truly listening to the customers needs.
As business owners ourselves it is a wonder how this woman can keep her doors open. I think maybe she is used to no one questioning her and just handing over money without explanation and the moment she is called to the mat, she freaks out. I am happy to share more information to anyone who needs to make a decision as well as email communications to see the full picture.
Again, do yourself a favor and find someone else. Life is too short to have to deal with this stress of Robin and her incompetency. It's no wonder she is losing people on her team. read more
