The patio and retaining wall look great. The project took longer than expected, but those delays were all on our side. We took longer than we should have to make various decisions about light fixtures, etc. We also changed the scope of the project a few times, adding more areas of walkways that we decided needed to be refinished with the stamped concrete. We would recommend KBR for any project that you might have. Our most recent…read moreexperience with this company involved the manufacture and installation of granite counter-tops for two bathrooms in connection with a remodeling project. We had used them in the past for our kitchen counter-tops and had been quite satisfied. In particular, on that occasion they had come to our house, measured the space, ordered the materials, and returned to install the product. When we hired them for the bathroom project, we expected the same level of service. Instead, after ordering the manufactured materials and billing us for the entire job, they informed us that they would be unable to do the installation. This forced us to hire another contractor at considerable additional expense. To make matters worse, part of the amount billed to us included a charge for the template for the installation. This company, however, did not do the template but rather fobbed the job off on our general contractor, and did not respond to our request for a refund of this amount. Finally, the company did not apply the template correctly when the counter-tops were manufactured, again resulting in an additional charge from one of our contractors. I definitely would not recommend this company, at least for anything having to do with granite counter-top installation.

We have been looking for a local contractor to do some work at our cottage. While driving we…read morenoticed the sign for south county cabinets and decided to stop in and inquire about their services. Upon turning onto the street we noticed a tractor trailer backed into the parking lot of South county cabinets. Having never visited the business before we were unfamiliar with the configuration of the parking lot so we pulled in off the street in front of the entrance of the business. There was space for us to go around behind the tractor trailer, but we weren't sure if it was safe to proceed. There was a woman standing near the back of the tractor trailer which was parked. After sitting there in our car a minute waiting for direction as to whether or not to proceed, the woman looked at us and appeared to be waving on. At the same time as we proceeded to move forward toward the back of the parking lot the tractor trailer also began backing up. The tractor trailer proceeded to back into the side of our vehicle. Upon impact, the woman Who waved us on turned to me and called me a "f#@king idiot". She proceeded to spew profanity and insults at me. A moment later a young man came over and joined the woman yelling profanities and making physical threats against me. We have since learned that the woman and the young man are not only mother and son, but are also the owners of South County Cabinets. In my life I have never been so insulted by such a foul mouthed woman. It is no surprise that the disrespectful, foul mouthed young man is her son. The disgusting woman and her bully of a son had no concern for our well-being whatsoever. They never once asked if we were physically harmed or showed any compassion. They could also care less that we had come there to patronize their business. All they cared about was showing themselves to be the ignorant, unprofessional people that hey are. I would never give them my business or trust them in my home and neither should you.
