Chris was the only person who looked at it who was able to figure out how the water damage was actually happening. Even the insurance adjuster missed it! I also appreciate that Chris and his team worked to save me money, e.g. keeping the original bathroom vanity when we determined it was still usable. This was an unplanned expense, so the ability to work with GreenSky was a big plus, too. The vinyl plank floor looks and feels great; now I wish I could have it in my kitchen and entry, too. Chris spent almost 2 hours going over the new deck plan I had drawn up, and suggested some changes that would allow us to have a larger deck, and still stay within our budget. Our new deck is almost 10 feet above ground. The stairs go down to a 4x4 landing, and then make a 90 degree turn, and end up directly in front of our gate. The deck is beautiful, and rock solid. Chris and Darian were polite and professional throughout the entire project. Chris made sure that all of our needs were met, and gladly accomodated us on some last minute changes. Chris is a man of great integrity, and a hard worker, and we will be hiring him for future remodeling projects.

As we met with the various material suppliers and told them we were working with Schoenberg Construction, we always heard: "Oh, they're good to work with." With any large construction project, you always run into unforeseen issues - ALWAYS! What counts is how those issues are resolved. We, of course, had our share of unexpected issues, and Craig and his subcontractors always worked to resolve the issues in a prompt, fair and equitable way. Craig also worked very closely with our bank throughout the construction process to provide the detailed financial records now required by banks from the start to completion of construction. He even went so far as to pull off the circles on some grid tile we were using in the niches and shower floor and place them manually as he didn't feel he could match the squares without significant gaps. When he came back to do some final baseboard work, he actually teared up looking at the final result of the bathroom. He said it was as if his grandfather and father (who taught him to lay tile) told him to take everything he learned and turn this into a showcase piece... and he did. Marty was able to keep our white oak cabinets…read moreand just reface them with a new door front which we had painted to match the painted oak cabinets. We worked together to make a new island that looks fabulous in our kitchen. We added soft close drawers and cabinet doors. We also chose to keep open a cabinet above our fridge to be more a display spot. Since the cabinet was so deep, we asked Marty to come up with a was to put a door in the middle of the cabinet so we coud store items behind the 'display area'. What an invisionary he was.
