Ben answered all of my questions and used his expertise to guide me on decision making. Ben also had the skills to fix the unexcepted water damage that was behind my previous brick and was incredibly fair with the additional cost. I did not know what to expect when I had Ben come out and look at and price it out. He replaced the broken bricks throughout the chimney, relayed the top two layers of brick, recapped the chimney, and put in a new flue block. The chimney looks better than it did when it was new - the bricks he installed matched perfect. I have some [limited] experience with brick laying and did some checking around before I decided to use Ben Hentges Masonry. I can tell you that he is competitively priced, straight forward and up front with you, and has exceptional craftsmanship. As an added bonus, Ben brought his faithful dog Bo with him to the worksite. Bo kept my three young daughters busy for a good share of the day. You can't beat that either. -Christopher Olson, Isanti MN

Shawn did a project for me that initially looked like a long term fix. After I saw some settling a year or so later I reached out to Shawn and he agreed to come out and take a look. After the meeting Shawn said he would be out within about two weeks to come take care of the issue with a little more lifting. Now a year later after texts, phone calls and emails that have all been ignored I am sitting with an issue and no warranty repair. Shawn was eager to talk about his warranty and his website boats of an industry leading 5 year warranty but do not believe it! It is just sad because my fix is so easy and he is still has no follow through and does not care about honoring our contract. Look elsewhere for your project.

Unfortunately, and I feel horrible about this, I found someone who could do the project the next day but couldn't get back to him before he actually came out to the house. I profusely apologized and offered to pay him for coming out and he wouldn't hear of it because "That's not how he does business." Instead of being upset for the wasted trip (which I would totally understand!), he was just happy I was able to get the job done so quickly. Wow! This kind of neighborly service in a business is SO APPRECIATED! I love Brian and am just so sorry we are moving so I can't give him my business!
