While they work on hourly consult rates which is a refreshing option for many of us, on a recent project, my business was clearly not valued. Calls and emails were not returned for days or weeks, plans not sent as promised, all eventually resolved through my repeated follow-ups. The justified reason is that a bigger client was requiring all their time. Customer Service 101. I pay my invoices on time and without question. I will set aside the sales tax issue which required multiple emails to be resolved. The last straw was the requirement to pay for a 4th consult by a sharp deadline or my consult would be canceled. What choice did I have? I will find an interior design firm that will appreciate my business.

Since it was going to be a rental house, we needed cabinets that wouldn't be too expensive but would last well and look good. The cabinets, which arrive on pallets in flat boxes that you or your cabinet installer assemble (and install) yourself, are very solid and quite nice, with soft-close hinges. They turned our nicer than the cabinets in our own house, so now of course my wife wants to redo our kitchen, too. We are very pleased with the cabinets, and our new tenants love them too. The assembly and installation of the cabinets is pretty tricky, so you'll want someone who is skilled and has done it before. Installing kitchen cabinets is not really for the average do-it-yourselfer, as experienced cabinet installers have several tricks to make everything fit and line up perfectly, including liberal use of shims in many locations that are not visible once the cabinets are installed. Highly recommend these guys if you're looking for good quality cabinets at a reasonable price.

We discovered Remcon through google reviews and evaluated them with 3 other design build firms. What led us to select Remcon was how Simo presented Remcon and what to expect. Realistic is probably the best way to describe what we heard. We described what we wanted and he shared from the start that he wouldn't BS us, and that he would make recommendations based upon overall vision and budget. During the renovation, he was always on top of the job. We ran into a few bumps where construction didn't go exactly as planned (standard on every job) but once we told Simo, he made sure to connect with the construction folks and they fixed it. He makes himself available via phone, email, and text, 24/7. He even made us a beautiful spinning display made of leftover quartz countertop as a gift. If you're lucky, he'll take you skydiving.
