Integrity and a fair price. That sentence should say it all, but since no one would accept that as a review I will elaborate. I hired Design AV Systems to: 1. wire my entire house over 3000 sq ft with Ethernet and Coax drops in all six bedrooms, living room and man cave 2. clean up the craptastic disasterpiece of wiring outside my home from 40+ years of cable installs 3. make a single point of access so the cable company won't come out and recreate the previously mentioned cabling nightmare 4. Hang my 55" Plasma TV that weighs approximately 8,000 lbs give or take an ounce and also hang my 65" LED TV. 5. Eli suggested he install a WiFi extender so my wireless signal will cover my entire house and yard (war drivers will get a great signal from the street). Eli and company did a phenomenal job under stressful working conditions. They day I scheduled Design AV I also had a carpenter and his assistant doing demo work, roofers repairing the roof, gardeners cleaning up my yard, three french hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree. So things were a bit hectic. I am extremely pleased with the job the Eli did. You may find some one to do the job cheaper but not likely you'll find better. Not that Design AV is expensive I bid the job out to about 5 different companies. His quote was extremely competitive overall and probably the best value for what I got. I highly recommend Design AV Systems and as soon as I can talk my wife into an 80" LED I'll be calling Eli to come back and hang that one too, besides I think the 65" screen would be amazing in the bathroom! read more

Don't look anywhere else, Design AV is the best! I'm a contractor and I've worked with a fair number of AV companies hired by my clients. For my own home, I chose Design AV. I got a great feeling about Eli when he came out to give an estimate ( I interviewed 3 companies). He listened to what I wanted, gave me great suggestions and an elegant solution at fair price. It wasn't flawless, but that wasn't his fault (a manufacturer gave him incorrect codes to program the equipment). He showed up on time, completed the job on time and didn't charge for a couple of things I changed. My system has 4 zones including a home theater/golf simulator set up with a projector in the living room. All speakers are hard wired, inside and out. It was a complete mess. Picture no 1 on the Yelp page was mine. After Eli was done it was beautiful (picture 3). I was able to patch a bunch of holes behind the cabinet where wires were previously located and everything works perfectly. We can watch tv outside and still play music during a party. We can watch tv, dvd, apple tv independently on each tv or watch the same program on all sets. All my AV wishes come true. If you want it done right, give Eli a call. He's the best! read more

I researched about twenty AV companies and finally found a Unicorn. I'm the type of person who always shops around, and when I was shopping to install cameras, a projector screen, and a whole home music system, I started to get the sense that there are two tiers companies: the ones that expect you to have six figures to get what you want in a system (because they try to sell you their "high-end" brands), and the ones that are so low-end you know you're going to hate the work. I finally found Eli and Design AV, who gave me a perfect home system for one quarter of what other companies were asking for, and I honestly couldn't tell the difference in quality (if there is any). He was great in understanding what I was looking for and in talking me out of things I thought I needed but didn't . He knew my budget and found creative solutions and kept parts and labor costs low and even helped me re-used some components that were still good for the job. My experience with DAV was nothing short of great. Eli was very professional and straightforward. Eli's knowledge regarding CCTV was vast. In fact, he taught me things which I did not know, and corrected me on specifics which I did not fully grasp. After speaking with him for a consult, I felt comfortable proceeding with using his services. After the consult, I determined that the cameras I was using were not going to work for my application. I figured that I would simply have to scrap my plan for CCTV at my place. Luckily, Eli went further to explain another option which worked PERFECTLY; again, he taught me a great deal about how these cctv cameras work and in particular the connections needed to make everything happen. Eli did a great job. My family and I just moved into our new house and the set up was a mess. The living room and master had tons of wiring coming out of the wall. Built in wall speakers weren't functioning as was the camera system. Eli came in and set up our camera system, connected all the speakers into a our new receiver, and cleaned up all of the wiring and put all of the excess back into the wall.
