I took my car go DeSesa Autobody in Van Nuys on Oxnard St to repaint my 10 yr old, messed up back bumper on my Genesis. I first took it to another body shop where I had work done over the years but they quoted over $5K for the job (they would replace the bumper, redo the electronics, etc). I needed to check into alternatives and was referred to DeSesa and was thrilled to find I had hit the trifecta: extremely friendly/accommodating people whose work was expertly done and at less than half of that the original quote. Roger and crew repainted and fixed the bumper (which had started to pull away) to showroom quality perfectly matching the original/factory paint job. Kudos to them for a job well done! read more

My Cheapskate buddy has his new Kia Optima dinged in Koreatown in 2013. He brought it here to Roger Desesa on advice from a mutual friend of ours, coincidently. (Our mutual friend is a very demanding, cheapskate professional so I KNEW the quality of work musst be good at cheap price). Roger's crew repaired the dent 100%, my buddy's car looked like new! The price was low and unheard of for Los Angeles County. Other body shops quoted my friend a price hudreds or dollars more expensive. Based on that, I brought my own 2 Kia Souls here (in 2014 and 2019). The quality of work was outstanding each time, and the price was low, similar to what you would pay in much less expensive locations such as Vermont and rural upstate NY. Please note: I have learned that Roger's craftsman have been with him for 25+ years. So same quality yesterday and tomorrow. This is truly a family business, run by a very kind, honest, and caring father & daughter. After being rear-ended, I was worried that there may be more internal damage on my car, but Teya assured me nothing would be overlooked. It's really comforting being helped by another woman in a situation that can feel intimidating. Rodger fixed all the damage on my car better than new, and even painted over a few additional scratches!! Roger Desesa, owner/operator, has over 30 yrs experience and Roger rocks! My second time as a client. His prices are Reasonable, and he's honest, and he really bent over backward for me this time. Found him couple of years ago when a valet dented the rear bumper of my 2009 Prius,. The valet company had a contract with Roger. Nicely done work, he even gives you a sheet on the alignment. My "Machine Whisperer" boyfriend was impressed. Then a week ago a guy pulled right in front of me to make a left turn. Damage to my right front bumper and headlight. The guy who hit me is paying with credit card, no insurance. But the rental car place won't take his credit card over the phone, you have to be there in person. So Roger uses his Own card to pay for the rental, and puts it on the cost of the total, so I don't have to use my card. Nice, huh? And super pretty work, kept the whole thing only $200 over estimate, after he found my tire and rim were trashed from driving the car with metal scraping right after the accident. My current car is nothing fancy. I know a lot of people in LA believe you are what you drive but I believe we are what we think, so be positive. Anyway, my Toyota is my reliable friend and she needed some TLC. My funds were limited and I was doubtful I would find a shop where I could get the dings removed AND a fresh top coat to save the paint. Add to that the fact that I never enjoy taking my car to the shop. As a lady I am either treated like a dummy or I feel like I'm getting ripped off. So what a pleasant surprise it was when I was greeted by Teya DeSesa. She, yes she, walked me through my options with patience and knowledge. What a nice surprise to find a woman running a body shop.
