We went here for the market to check out vendors and graba quick lunch…read more Ended up hanging out here longer, their playground is nice, it is enclosed so it's easier to watch the kids, only one entrance/exit in & out the play area. You can even watch them beyond the fence. It's a clean & quiet park, overall good!

Surrender your unwillingness over to nature and let your spirit be restored and recharged…read more Who needs to step away from life? We all get overwhelmed? We get these feelings of uncertainty and anxiety; it how we deal with this self battle that we come out stronger from. I have always been able to overcome anxiety by just being close to a tree, or breathing in fresh air . We were not meant to be penned up inside a building all day long with fake air. We need to breathe. Hence the reason we escape to the park. Living in an urban jungle where everything around us is covered in concrete is disturbing. We have to keep our calm be collective. When I'm doing the day to day movements of work, the mundane plain that we coexist in an air of chaos sets in . One can call this chitter chatter of fear or anxiety but just going outside enlightenment happens almost immediately. Take a brisk walk, breathe in and out. These things can lower your blood pressure, stress, and inspire your inner greatness to grow. Let's go to the park . How many mornings do we take the time to walk and get in touch with nature. If you have not done this recently make time. A brisk walk would do you good. You can spent time alone or with those close to you. Get out and ride a bike or walk . Are you looking for your best self? Have you gotten lost recently and distracted? Do you need to soar high above the clouds? You can get in touch with your inner self with that trip to the park . Are you brave enough to go down the slide? Cross the monkey bars again? Do you remember how to swing? Push back higher and higher . See you are doing it . Release and relax your inner child is in control now. Let your thoughts flow. After playing, now how do you feel!

Morrel Park is a large city park in "Old Henderson." It has baseball fields, half court…read morebasketball, sand volleyball court (bring your own net), two play structures, and one of the best skateparks in the valley. However, for safety and restrooms you might want to only visit when the onsite recreation center is open. That's because the restrooms by the skatepark had the doors removed years ago and never replaced. So there's no privacy. And the other restrooms behind the rec center are often locked. So if you are there when the rec center is open you can go inside to use decent restroom facilities, warm up or cool down, use a phone to call for help, etc. Also, we have been there on weekends when the skatepark is supposed to be open but it's been locked up. And the phone number posted to get help about the park just goes into the ether, no option to leave a message or anything. This is what people mean when they call parts of Hendeeson "Hender-tucky." There are parts of Henderson that are really nice and kept up and parts that are severely neglected. For a city with so many great parks and tons of awards for the parks and rec Dept Morrel Park is a bit of a blight.

So dirty and no soap. Toilet paper thrown everywhere. 2 playgrounds. There was a transient, walking around playground so watch your kids. He would stop, look at kids and scream raawrrr!. I called local 311 to report but did not see no enforcement show up.
