Bonus points for Friendship Park being right next door, because the vibes here are actually good and not just "posted-on-a-sign" good. We've been coming here for years and it never misses. Every visit delivers the same thing: peace. It's beautiful without trying too hard. Some days it honestly feels like you took a wrong turn and accidentally crossed into another state,calmer, greener, quieter... and nobody asking you for anything. Perfect place to walk the dogs, let the kids burn off every ounce of energy, or just sit and clear your head when it's been running at 100 mph all day. If you need a mental reset without packing a bag or burning gas, this is the place. Safe to say this park is officially locked into our weekly and monthly routine

The fields have two soccer goals in each one sometimes they are taken sometimes they arent. Field 11 and 12 are turf ones kinda suck when its really hot cuz you can feel the heat through your cleats at times. But those field are the ones you will usually find not being used and opened to the public. The bathrooms for most part clean but lack soap at times but never toilet paper. There is a playground by field 1 we go sometimes but if you are going for the playground then there is one in the corner of burkholder and Pueblo it has more playground equipment. They dont keep the lights on at night to all the fields unless the are being used for clubs except field 11 and 12. People like to jog around the fields and area. On the perimeter of the park there is doggy poop bins for when people walk their dogs out of the perimeter. (We love dogs but nice not to step on dogs poop) There is a dog park on the side of Heritage park and split by size I see lots of dogs there so its great. One side of the area is near the high school and a ditch. Sometimes there's questionable people but not much. Lots of teens like to hang out at the park and kick the ball so its safe enough. Just like when you are out and about have some caution.

Most fields are dirt and very dead grass (is Vegas so that's kind of expected), but what is really astonishing is that the turf fields are turf have small rocks instead of rubber pellets between the blades of artificial grass. I have never experienced that. Half of our team ended up with rock pieces embedded in their knees and elbows, and one got infected. The 2 stars are for ample and free parking. They do have lots of fields but some should not be used at all! Bathrooms are not great, there are no concessions either.

Cinnamon Ridge Park is a nice little park that has a playground area, walkways that you can walk on…read moreto get some good exercise in, basketball and tennis courts, shaded tables to sit at to hold a nice picnic and restrooms to take care of business after the picnic eats. It is located right off of Burkholder Blvd. that is convenient to pull right off and enter into the park. The parking lot isn't too big and can seem kind of tight on busy park days, but there is another park located near this park so it isn't too bad with compensating between the two. It also has a nice crosswalk equipped with lights and flashing stop sign to signal to oncoming cars to slow down and STOP because people are trying to cross safely. I'm very glad they added this to the crosswalk because they did not have this in the past and it was very dangerous for kids to walk through in the crosswalk. There is a high school (Basic H.S.) located right next to the park so lots of kids walk home school and sometimes use that crosswalk to get to their houses right across the street from the park.

Strawberry Hill Park is a tiny pocket park located off the Green Valley Ranch trail system. It is a compliment to the Green Valley Ranch trail system. With the trail system, it is an attractive and serene resting place on a walk along the beautiful trails. The grass is a healthy golf course green. Nearer the paved walking trail there is a playground equipped with a play dinosaur and sandbox by a basketball court. The exact picturesque landscaping that is throughout Green Valley Ranch is throughout the park. In similar style to the adjacent trail system it is graffiti-free. Nearer the trailhead where the playground, mature trees provide shade over the green-colored benches and picnic tables. This is a serene place to have a picnic, rest, or read. Strawberry Hill is a neighborhood park. Missing from this diminutive park is a restroom and parking lot. When people visit Strawberry Hill from outside the neighborhood, it is part of the Green Valley Ranch trail system experience. The following paragraph discusses visiting Strawberry Hill Park on a walk along the Green Valley Ranch trail system using the District's Whole Food's parking lot as a trailhead. After parking in the District's Whole Food's parking lot preferably by Cheesecake Factory, the suburban hike starts off on the south walking path of eastbound Paseo Verde Parkway. This is the Paseo Verde Trail. At this point you are northeast of the intersection of Green Valley and Paseo Verde Parkways. The Henderson Multigenerational Center is across the road. At the 4-way stop sign, continue across Desert Shadow Trail. In a short distance, there are powerlines. At the powerlines, turn left. For a brief time you will be on a paved segment of the Amorgassa Trail. In a short distance, there will be a paved trail and landscaped wash to the left. Turn left here. From this point forward you will be suburban hiking on this nicely landscaped paved trail the remainder of the walk. The trail's attention to design and landscaping reminds me of a Frank Lloyd Wright landscape. The parallel wash and linear park is an attractive buffer to the backyards bordering the walking path. The photogenic green lamp posts create a sense of being in Green Valley Ranch. When I walked on the trail after a recent rain there was a trickle of water running along the rocky wash that emitted the sound of a running stream. The walking pace is interrupted four times where the trail yields to four minor neighborhood drives. Between the first and second surface street crossing, the trail winds through another tiny and attractive park named Bobcat Park (interesting names in this neighborhood ). In addition to Strawberry Hill, this is also a nice place to sit back and enjoy solitude in the shade. Throughout the walk, the topography is a gentle decrease in elevation. After the fourth surface street crossing, Strawberry Hill Park is on the right. Once you walk beyond it the trail concludes near an Interstate 215 sound wall. Depending on how you feel, the walking adventure can conclude whenever. The Armogassa Trail and Paseo Verde Trails that lead to the no-name trail are walking adventures bound for the well-decorated parks sprinkled throughout Green Valley Ranch.

It's just not as kid friendly as the other 3. There isn't a jungle gym or slides. Just the merry-go-round, the piano that you step on to make music and that weird light/sound thing. There's way too much shrubbery everywhere. And the picnic tables are not under any canopies. If our kids are playing in the already scarce/weird equipment area, us poor moms are sitting under the sun watching them. I don't want to bash this park too badly, but like I said I'm just not a fan. Here are some pros though: 1. There is a pool!!! 2. Basketball courts. 3. Small skate ramp. 4. Large grassy areas. 5. Very clean and maintained.

Lastly, there was a piano keyboard on the ground that didn't work very well. No slides, swings, or your typical playground stuff. There were plenty of seats, shade, water, small grass fields, and parking, though no dedicated lot. The bathrooms are the industrial type, with all metal bowls and no toilet lid.
