This was the worst experience of my life. First time using a spray tan machine and it broke with me…read morein it. Sprayed thick black dye all over me and stopped. I was left standing completely nude for over an hour, with alarms going off on the machine. The women running the place is so rude and disrespectful she tried blaming me saying I must of grab the machine or fell on it because I have a disability I didn't touch it whatsoever it was my first time I didn't want to touch anything. She yelled at me and my sister knowing I have heart failure. It was an experience that scared me for life. Never experienced such an uncaring person in my life.

I came in with very little knowledge on the types of tanning beds, UVA vs UVB rays, and the overall process... basically how does I get the tanness? The girl working that day was very kind and polite though she didn't have a ton of information for me. I chided myself for not doing my own research prior and took the information she gave me on their different tanning bed options and did a little online searching. After reading some literature on UV damage I determined that upgrading the bed was in my best interest. She was great about transferring my Groupon to the upgraded bed Groupon and explaining to me how to use the tanning bed. The times I've been back the other individuals that have checked me in have been friendly and helpful. The facility and tanning beds seem to be kept really clean and I have enjoyed the features of both the platinum and a once upgraded diamond bed. Overall seems like a pretty clean and friendly place to tan in Washington state since we never see the actual sun.

I had requested 9-10 mins on a 15 min bed. The last time was the worst because I had managed to fall asleep, unlike the first 2 times. In approximately 3 1/2 months this happened 3 times. The incompetence is astronomical. The only thing you need to be good at is setting the time on the bed and cleaning them between uses. Otherwise, this facility would be self serve. The one positive thing I would like to add because this is not personal, it that the ladies who work here are lovely, inviting and personable. The customer service isn't lacking. If you want to be involuntary burned, you should definitely go tanning here. Do not give this business your money. When I walked in I was a little nervous because it is a tanning salon not a normal "salon" where you would get facials, and treatments. Meredith came out and greeted us and I was even more nervous as she had sweatshirt and jeans on, not typical esthetician professional smocks. She then walked us into a little room, which was probably used for a tanning bed before facials were offered. The room was not a typical, salon type room. It was very bare and not esthetically pleasing for a soothing, pamper yourself, type of treatment. Meredith was very friendly though and started by shaping our eyebrows. She listened to what we wanted and delivered very well. We were both happy with our eyebrows. She then did the facial for my daughter while I waited. Then it was my turn. Once she started and I closed my eyes I forgot I was not in a nice salon. She did an amazing job. Very relaxing and thorough. Meredith had high standards because my sister is an esthitician so I know what a great facial feels like. I was very pleased and would highly recommend Meredith for facials. Her normal prices are very reasonable. I think if you can look past the fact that this is a tanning salon and not a spa, you will find a diamond in the rough with Meredith.

Horrible customer service, especially on the management's part…read more I started the introductory package in March where it came with one conventional bed and two super beds. The conventional bed was uncomfortable and small. The super beds are larger in size and variety. A few weeks later, I purchase a super bed special for the month and was able to stand up or lie down. Since then, I have not tanned. Well, I came in and purchased their 10 conventional bed special for June; 10 sessions for $35. Little did I know that all the conventional beds are the same size, unlike the super beds. The reason why I'm explaining the beds is to prove a point. I have a D size chest and when I lay down in the conventional bed, my chest and my face are touching the top glass. When I flip over, the top of my head and my ass are on the glass. It is both uncomfortable and unpleasant to lay down for 20 min like this. I requested a refund and they denied me. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told I would receive a phone call back. After not receiving a call, I came back the second day and was told again that a manager would call me. I even checked to make sure my phone number was taken down correctly. Now, day 3, I come in and the worker says she spoke with the manager and she said because I already knew what a conventional bed felt like from the introductory package in March, she would not do anything for me. I'm sorry. What? How am I supposed to know all the conventional beds are the same when I only used it one time prior. I've used different super beds that varied in size and time. Had a manager actually called me instead of playing this game with the associates here, I may have been more prone to leaving a better rating but since nothing was done on their part, 1 star it is. I'd have to say they need better communication, customer service and management skills. After my 10 sessions are done, I will NOT be back. And I do not recommend this place for anyone with a big head, large chest or any body part that is bigger than a 12 year old child.

I quit going after only a few sessions even though I paid for the month and haven't been tanning since. The deceit could improve. Initially went to restart my account. The person was late coming to the…read moredoor to start with. She began by trying to upsell me when I specifically told her what I wanted and that I was also there to have my free birthday tan. I then told her I needed to add a skin care product and if possible to get one that I could use for both red light and tanning and on my face. She made the selection and told me it was good for that. Then there was another customer next to me and one that had come in and sat down, my person had me sign authorization to pull the funds then told me what I was being charged for. She was continually getting involved with the customer next to me that came in after me and was helping the other employee help the other customer, maybe the other employee was new. She then took my payment and said "okay, you're all set" and began to fully help the other customer and the other employee. I asked "what room am I going to?" She said "um, oh, room 11 or six then said 11." I went completed my tan and left. The next time I came in, I said "i would like to do a red light session and a tan" she said "well, you will probably want to add a package then for tanning," I said "um no, I only plan to tan maybe 3 times, so, no, I am not adding a package for that." Then I asked "don't I get 50% off because I have the red light package?" She paused, looked very irritated and said "yes." I said "okay then I want to add a single tan, then I verified how many credits I had available and she said $240. I said okay charge me my 50% from that. Today I just so happened to call the wrong store but asked the person who answered "what day of the month do I need to put my account on hold?" She said today is the day because funds get pulled tomorrow. I said thank you and went up to the Pearl st. location. I had a feeling the same girl that I have had problems with since day 1 would be there and sure enough, there she stood. I said two things, I would like to buy some non-tanning lotion that has hyaluronic acid and collagen and I also need to freeze my account. I will not be able to come back for a few months. She said well you signed an agreement that states you have to allow one pull. I asked "what agreement,? She then held up some laminated full size contract type thing and said I went o er this with you," I said "no, you absolutely did not." I would have been aware of that and would not have come up here wasting my time if I knew that." She said "I have worked here for quite some time and I don't miss any steps." I said "well you missed that one and maybe because you were so busy helping someone else, I had to even ask what room I was going to?" Needless to say she said well I will contact customer service and talk to them about it, I said "no, I want to talk to them." (Am I not the customer?) she wrote down a number and said well there is only one person so you'll have to be patient and wait. I said oh I am sure you will be able to talk to her right after I leave she said "yeah." I said I think this is probably illegal and then left the business, I called as soon as I as I got to my car two hours ago and of course there will be no call so that they can collect funds for services that I can't use right now for the next few months. I doubt I will hear from the customer service rep and if so they will have already formed their bias opinion. I have read reviews since coming home about this same person and lying. What a joke!

Seattle Sun Tan used to be really amazing for customer service but it's clearly gone downhill. Went down the street to Desert Sun in UP and they were so much more friendly and accommodating!
