Best flower place in town! My husband has been buying from them for years. He even placed an order on a Monday and didn't realize they were closed. I called from out of state to order flowers for my sister in the hospital. I was impressed with everything from start to finish about the experience. We received an absolutely beautiful anniversary rose arrangement. 5-stars for arrangement, but there was a snag with delivery detailed below. Out-of-state friend ordered this arrangement. Unfortunately we were away for several days when florist attempted delivery. Our friend said she gave instruction to call us prior to delivery but we did not receive any calls. Neighbor watching our home found the 'sorry we missed you' hang tag. We texted Desert Poppy for re-delivery and they arrived promptly at agreed time. The flowers were gorgeous but they only lasted a couple days because I think they had waited in the florist's cooler for several days already. Given that this order was probably taken during the Mother's Day rush, I expect they were really busy and somehow the details of calling before delivery got missed. Anyway, the flowers were lovely, just wish they would have been fresher so we could have enjoyed longer. Call before delivery is ALWAYS a good idea. I thought this was standard procedure during pandemic, but maybe not now? read more

Gini and her staff are magical florists! Their work is so beautiful, unique, and eye-catching for any event. We worked with Desert Poppy for our wedding and couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. We did an initial consultation to identify what we were looking for such as specific flowers, colors, and configurations and had several more collaborative exchanges throughout the planning process to get everything to our liking. We had our wedding in October when it was still a bit hot outside so the staff did several trips to our venue throughout the day to drop off flowers for myself and my bridesmaid, then for our ceremony, then for our cocktail hour and reception. Keeping the flowers out of the heat kept them in great condition and allowed them to last longer. They also helped with the tear down process, and donated our remaining flowers to local hospitals and nursing homes. The flowers turned out beautiful both in person and the way they were captured in photos. They are a huge focal point for me when I look back at our photos.
