After Kobe's last grooming with LALAPOOCH, I was honestly very concerned about finding a new groomer I could trust. LALAPOOCH had been our go-to, and when they closed, it was a big loss for us. Kobe is not just any dog--he's like a little stuffed teddy bear, and grooming him takes a very special level of skill, patience, and artistry. Fluffy dogs like him are not easy, and finding someone who truly understands that is rare. Today, I'm very happy to say that Desert Pet Spa is now our new home for Kobe's grooming. The technician who took care of him, Miku, was absolutely fantastic. She is truly an artist--she listened carefully, understood exactly the look I wanted, and delivered on it perfectly. That level of precision, especially on a first visit, is incredibly impressive. Usually, it takes a few visits to get alignment, but not here. Kobe came out looking exactly how he should--clean, balanced, and that perfect teddy bear look that we love. I couldn't be happier with the result. I highly recommend making sure you're going to the SAME person when grooming at this salon. Not all workers there groom to the same standard. I went a month ago and they did a wonderful job (photo added) and just got them groomed yesterday and was shocked. Also photo added of them now. Makes me so sad. Yes, my pups had matts. But they always have matts, literally every single time I've EVER taken them they've had small mats here and there, but nothing crazy. The work that was done clearly shows the groomer was just lazy and didn't want to take the time to care for my babies. It's not hard to trim and thin out mats, I do it at home all the time with thinning scissors. Yes it's time consuming but that's what I pay for. I've gotten them groomed monthly since I've gotten them and have NEVER had this happen. When messaging them about how upset I was, all they said was that brushing the mats out is too painful and shaving was the "best option". Huh? Just sounds lazy to me. Once you bathe them, trim, you can easily use thinning scissors to take small mats out. This is a clear case of neglect and I'm very disappointed in the response. The blame was put on me 100% which I don't agree with. Be aware! read more

We took our 4 month Mini-Goldendoodle puppy here for the first time. The staff was great and we can tell our puppy really enjoyed his first full groom experience. The price was very reasonable for the great service we received. $80 for a 3 hour service which included the Ayurveda add on. This is a steal considering my puppy also got some play time and had a positive experience with grooming. My puppy deserves the best and I'm so glad we found a great place to bring our puppy for his regular 4 week groom. read more

Oh my gosh-- we loved our grooming experience at Desert Pet Spa!! Moving here from Los Angeles I was making the trip back to see Cali's mobile groomer because of a bad experience we had where they completely shaved her. I was nervous to try someone new but our friend's so type A about her Coton De Tulear she couldn't recommend DPS enough. I loved that they rounded her dog's paws just like Cali's groomer did for her so I finally decided to make the leap thanks to D'Angelo. He really eased any worries I had over the phone and was able to squeeze us in before the holidays. To our surprise, they did the same Japanese toy/bear style cut we were looking for. D'Angelo, Miko and Ms. Kay are SUCH kind, calm, happy people. When dropping her off another dog was leaving and I was happy to see the types of owners coming in with their well behaved pups. Furthermore, I love that it's just them and that they really focus on the emotional well being of the pups. No anxiety, no stressors, nothing. I appreciated D'Angelo calming me and educating me on my energy that could possibly be picked up by Cali. I also really like that they incorporated free play and didn't lock Cali up (which was new for us). I'm certain she had a blast playing while waiting for her turn. They're so kind and gentle with them and seeing Cali finish up was so heartwarming. When done, they gave her the cutest Fall bandana and have a mini photo shoot that I can keep. This place was great! Staff is friendly and kind. They were able to get my cat in on a same day appointment for a full haircut and wash. My cat experienced bad matting under his tail and it was causing fecal matter to get stuck to his fur making it very uncomfortable for him. They got him in within a few hours and he was ready to be picked up within an hour and a half. They did a thorough job removing the matting and cleaning him all up. My cat is very happy now and looks much better! I would definitely come back and recommend this place. read more

They quote you $45 over the phone and then when you get there they want to sell you an additional $40 worth of shampoo. We have our dogs shampooed and groomed every single month and they claim that our dog has tangles and want to charge an extra $20 to get those out And be careful with your conversation because if you say something Stuart does not like hes gonna scream at the top of his lungs and start cussing you out. I was a little jaded after my experience with the first couple of places I tried. My pup's haircut rarely looked like what I had requested, despite showing the groomer multiple reference pictures. And my poor pup always seemed traumatized when I picked him up. After reading some reviews I decided to give Desert Pet Spa a try and they exceeded my expectations! It was really easy to make an appointment and the staff was very welcoming and professional. When I picked up my dog he looked handsome as ever and exactly like the reference pics I had shown them. He also didn't seem nervous or scared which made me confident that the staff took very good care of him. The greatest part was the free photo shoot they took after his session! When I arrived to pick him up the staff shared some pics they took after his cut, offered to share them with me and asked my permission to share on social media.
