Before and After

Been taking my little Brixie Boy to D tails since he was a puppy. Daniel and Tara have always been so sweet with him. Brixton is always shaking when I drop him even though he has a great time with them and when I pick him up he's the happiest boy with the zoomies. I appreciate them treating him like their own! First time in 3 years I was very late to pick him up and he was the last one there so they were playing with him until I got there. Thank you for always making him look so handsome and treating him great!

D-Tails Pet Spa is a very friendly and welcoming place! Both of the owners were super nice and kind. I came in with my golden doodle super matted (very difficult to manage; new owner!) Daniel was very nice and told me that the cut that I wanted would be $100. However, I mentioned that this would be my dog's first time getting his hair done. He told me since it is his first time, he's going to see how it goes. Which I understand, it's my dog's first time so Daniel doesn't know what to expect when grooming him. When my dog was ready, I didn't expect him to look like that. I expected to him to have his hair cut like how I requested. Instead, he was trimmed like one centimeter. Daniel did a good job on getting his matts out and trimming his nails, but I didn't expect him to only trim his hair. He mentioned that my dog would pull away his paws every time he trimmed his nails and wouldn't cooperate. Which I understand because he was nervous. If I knew what service would be given, I would definitely not pay $100 for this. But I do thank you for doing a good job on getting his matts out! However, last time coming here. I don't think $100 is worth for getting his matt out, and no hair cut.

As good as it gets. Tara and Daniel are friendly, welcoming, and experts at grooming any breed of dog. These folks are so friendly, so professional, so efficient that their entire enterprise more closely resembles a well-oiled puppy-beautifying machine. Both Tara and Daniel have been doing this for years, and the care and attention they take with their work is apparent in the fantastic cuts and shampooing they've done for our two dogs for years. They take care to put the animals at ease, they never force or cajole your pet, and you can clearly see that these two good folks are big-time animal lovers. If, like us, your pets are your kids and if you want them cut, bathed, and primped as you'd do it yourself, then take your little guys and gals to D-Tails Pet Spa. We've been taking our dogs to Tara and Daniel for six years now, and we have never had a single complaint about either their work or how they treat our furry family. These are good, attentive, ridiculously talented people, and we refuse to take our pups anywhere else. Ever.

We have tried a variety of dog groomers in Vegas from Petco to mobile groomers to other shops, but this place has always been the best. It's not the most glitzy or glamorous pet spa and features a simple exterior and interior. Masks are required now for customers due to the viral pandemic. One minor complaint is that their website is extremely basic and doesn't offer online appointment scheduling or even a price list or menu of services that I could find. Similarly inside the store there doesn't seem to be a menu board or sign listing all their services and prices. The staff have always been very friendly and seem genuinely happy to work with your fur baby. They do a consistently great job on our two Poms. Their haircut is always just the right length (other places always left it too long) and they smell great and just overall look perfect. They always seem to enjoy their time there and never come back stressed or traumatized. Their full service groom is $55 for each doggie (about 7 lbs each). If you pay for their tooth brushing add-on once ($5 I think?) you get to keep the toothbrush and then the teeth brushing is free when you get it thereafter if you bring the brush back. Overall this is a great place for your doggie grooming needs!

The pups always look so nice after their grooming!

I have taken my two large dogs to D-Tails twice now, and I'm so glad I found this groomer! The owner is so friendly and you can tell he genuinely cares about animals, which makes me feel much more comfortable leaving my pups in his care. Both times my dogs have come back looking amazing! They get a bath and get trimmed where needed. Both times they were shedding way less too, which is awesome for me. They are now reopen after the COVID-19 stay home for Nevada closure, and they are already getting booked up quick! I booked another appointment for a couple weeks out, so I'd recommend you call and make an appt ASAP! I would recommend D-Tails to anyone, their reviews really tell it all. I am glad I found such a great groomer who takes care of my pups! Thank you D-Tails!

Ask the Community - D-Tails Pet Spa

Hi, how can I make an appointment? Every time I call, it goes to voicemail and says you're not accepting any new clients?!

They are not accepting new clients right now. If you're a current client, you can leave a voicemail. They are good about returning calls quickly.

Does anyone have an email for the business? I have shot records that need to be sent in, and want to get it to them in advance. Thank you.

Hi How much for a full cut and nails for a 9.5 pound pomapoo? How much just for nails, paws and privates?

Full haircut ranges from $50-$60 and that includes everything, we file the nails short and buff them round and smooth, clean the ears with a witch hazel ear cleaner which helps prevent ear infections, we also check and express the anal glands if… Read more

Hannah was nice, friendly and patient with our hairy little puppy, and the self wash stations for our two doggos was easy to use and well-stocked. Only downside is that they only have two showers available, the soaps there aren't that strong (you have to use a lot to get a good lather) and the grouchy woman next to us decided to blow dry her giant black chewbacca friend in our direction pelting us with its tumbleweed sized hairballs for over a half an hour. (Think she was mad that we took the taller shower) rude, but I believe in karma so maybe one of you with an even bigger dog can go there and get her back for us. (Pwetty pwease?) After seeing how beautiful Hannah made our little princess fuzzball look, we booked another appointment for our two chonkertons because we weren't satisfied wiith the way we bathed them. (Not their fault, ours.) Hannah treated them well and groomed them wonderfully. They left smiling and so did we. Long story short, this is the BEST place to go to groom your doggo and a good place to go to look for sepcialty foods and treats. People here are nice, place is clean, grooming is EXCELLENT. Highly recommend Barking Dogs!

Our dog Appa gets scared with new people, but Deka approached him slowly and with care. We received pictures of Appa during his appointment which we appreciated! We are here for the holidays and it was her first time in Nevada so we wanted to give her a groom experience over here. I'm glad we chose this place because the hand scissor skills and experience was top tier! They actually do get spoiled. She got her photos taken during the groom and after! Her hair was very soft and she smelled so good. There were still some armpit knots afterwards but it was very minimal and hard to spot so missing it was very likely but not impossible. I know Ginger is not fond of having her under brushed so I think her groomer did not want to force it on her and prioritized her comfort which I definitely understand and would rather prefer it that way. Her overall cut was honestly very surprising to me. It was very symmetrical, detailed and polished. I can usually tell when they cut more clipper focused (from bringing her to different groomers which let me see the different styles--I'm picky) because some thigh edges get left out, some indents get visible, and it ends up being a random longer tuft of hair though in this cut there was visibly none. The hair her groomer cut (or Kandice in particular) was molded and shaped well. She nailed the round face, her legs and the start of her tail by her butt looks more flushed and it feels flowy. It's hard to explain. There was a tuft of hair by her butt before that didn't really flush the start of her tail and now it's basically cut well--I feel like I'm saying jargon at this point but you have to see/feel it in person to tell. The cut by her visor was also so admirable. It looks so straight and detailed; I'm so happy with it. I can tell she took her time, and that Ginger was comfortable enough to let her do it. I'm pretty sure it's a given with all the pictures you see here. Them taking pics of the pups before and after just shows how confident they are in the final look. I'm really satisfied with how she cut Ginger's hair! This raised my standards a lot more with hand-scissor cutting and I fear I might have to start looking again around Torrance sigh. Now, the store itself. In the morning when I dropped her off I got the strong dog odor smell when I opened the door which I'm not fond of, because her groomers at home do not have that so it's possible to mask the smell. Though when I picked her up the store smelled okay, so it might have been one of the clients, but just a heads up that it can be one or the other. The entry experience was awkward, but nothing bad. They just don't greet you until you get to the register bahaha. Their merchandise was so cute. I wish I budgeted for that, but it'll have to be for next time. The price was a little inconsistent as well because before when I called they said that it would be around $90 since the groomer I chose is $20 above the beginning price of $70, but I ended up paying for $100 and some change. I didn't mind because the matts might've been the issue and we usually pay around that price back at home, but just be prepared to bring extra. They cut really well so I had no issues paying more than I was quoted for, but some people might not be. This is where I take off a star when it's regarding the storefront and the pricing. Regardless, all-in-all great visit with some minor understandable inconveniences. They take their time with your pup, they SPOIL them. Their hand-scissor skills are very proficient, and you get cute pics of your pup depending on the season! There is no doubt when they take care of your pup. Thank you so much for taking care of our little Ginger during her vacation at Nevada. We will definitely come back if we stay here with her again next holiday when we come back to visit my husband's family. Thank you Kandice! Happy holidays!
