I needed a last minute appointment this week for my shih-tzu to get groomed. I decided to try this spot since it's located near me. There's no app to book an appt. so you just need to call. I called and left a message, and they called me back promptly. I was able to book an appointment the next morning. I was quoted a simple fee with no add ons, which is great because I like it when things are simple. Drop off was easy. The layout of the shop is an open concept, so you can see all the groomers and the dogs they're working on. Service was pretty fast, and they'll call 15 minutes before the service is complete. Overall great place for grooming. Simple, efficient, and friendly service. read more

We are so pleased with our grooming service today! We have been taking our pups to the same groomers for years and they ended up closing their location near our home. This prompted us to find new groomers. There are plenty closer to us but I was hesitant because of the reviews. Our dogs have decent temperament (I think) with bathing, sometimes fidgety but relatively behaved from what we've been told, so there's always some fear of how they will act with new groomers. Scheduling was very easy. I just called on a Friday and was able to book for the following Tuesday. They gave me an estimated quote over the phone which was priced well and aligned with what we paid. They just request you have proof of rabies vaccination for the appointment. Our pups came out looking better than ever! We have never seen such a good trim on both of them! Truthfully we don't have any specific preference just want them to look clean and they did that and more! Will be coming back! read more

I've been taking my 3 dogs here for years. They are simply wonderful. Not only is the location very convenient to my house, but they are very caring and feel like extended family to my dogs. They are also kind enough to take great care of my very difficult senior dog. read more

Everything was AMAZING. This place knows how to give your dog the best experience of their lives. My boys never had a professional grooming experience because no one was willing to take them because they bite out of fear. If you knew their former lives, you would understand. When the phone rang about an hour and 15 minutes into their grooming, my heart sank because I thought they were going to tell me that they couldn't work with them. It was the opposite. Daniel sang my boys praises for doing so well. I have to credit the talented groomers for making my boys feel safe. When I saw them, I had happy tears. If you are looking for the best grooming experience for your babies, this is the place. Thank you Daniel and Tara for giving my boys a chance. I have never seen them look so beautiful. read more

The only groomers I'll take my sweet boy to. They're so kind and patient with him and always give him a wonderful cut. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! I have been going here for about 6 or 7 years. They always handle my babies with great care!

Been taking my little Brixie Boy to D tails since he was a puppy. Daniel and Tara have always been so sweet with him. Brixton is always shaking when I drop him even though he has a great time with them and when I pick him up he's the happiest boy with the zoomies. I appreciate them treating him like their own! First time in 3 years I was very late to pick him up and he was the last one there so they were playing with him until I got there. Thank you for always making him look so handsome and treating him great! read more

A long time ago I used to take my first dog to Petsmart for grooming and he always hesitated and stopped in his tracks right when the door open and I'd have to force him to go in. This was a big sign for me. D-Tails Pet Spa is the exact opposite. My current dog would enter without hesitation and enjoyed seeing the workers there. After 3 hours I would pick him up and he has the same reaction leaving just with a new fluffy hair cut. To me this shows that they handled my pup with care. When we first brought our puppy there, they let us know what little things we can do at home with our pup to make his experience more pleasant. Example is to hold our puppy's chin hair so he gets used to it as that's a thing for their groomers when cutting his hair. Anything to make our puppy's experience more pleasant and enjoyable is everything I'm for. Highly would recommend. read more

My boyfriend's Jack Russell Chihuahua mix, Oreo, is a huge fan of D-Tails and so are we! We've tried a few other grooming spots and are happy that we found D-Tails as their pricing is competitive for a service that's impeccable. I typically take Oreo in for her monthly spa day, which includes custom shampoo, blueberry facial, ear cleaning, and other services included in the basic package of ~$35. Each time I take her in, Oreo does her happy dance when she sees Daniel (the owner) and the team. When she leaves, she's always looking extra fresh and pampered. While the place is busy (for a good reason), Daniel always does a great job at getting back to me for scheduling. He and his wife are both enthusiastic and caring owners who truly aspire to make each dog feel like a VIP (very important pet). read more

D-Tails Pet Spa is a very friendly and welcoming place! Both of the owners were super nice and kind. I came in with my golden doodle super matted (very difficult to manage; new owner!) Daniel was very nice and told me that the cut that I wanted would be $100. However, I mentioned that this would be my dog's first time getting his hair done. He told me since it is his first time, he's going to see how it goes. Which I understand, it's my dog's first time so Daniel doesn't know what to expect when grooming him. When my dog was ready, I didn't expect him to look like that. I expected to him to have his hair cut like how I requested. Instead, he was trimmed like one centimeter. Daniel did a good job on getting his matts out and trimming his nails, but I didn't expect him to only trim his hair. He mentioned that my dog would pull away his paws every time he trimmed his nails and wouldn't cooperate. Which I understand because he was nervous. If I knew what service would be given, I would definitely not pay $100 for this. But I do thank you for doing a good job on getting his matts out! However, last time coming here. I don't think $100 is worth for getting his matt out, and no hair cut. read more

We have tried a variety of dog groomers in Vegas from Petco to mobile groomers to other shops, but this place has always been the best. It's not the most glitzy or glamorous pet spa and features a simple exterior and interior. Masks are required now for customers due to the viral pandemic. One minor complaint is that their website is extremely basic and doesn't offer online appointment scheduling or even a price list or menu of services that I could find. Similarly inside the store there doesn't seem to be a menu board or sign listing all their services and prices. The staff have always been very friendly and seem genuinely happy to work with your fur baby. They do a consistently great job on our two Poms. Their haircut is always just the right length (other places always left it too long) and they smell great and just overall look perfect. They always seem to enjoy their time there and never come back stressed or traumatized. Their full service groom is $55 for each doggie (about 7 lbs each). If you pay for their tooth brushing add-on once ($5 I think?) you get to keep the toothbrush and then the teeth brushing is free when you get it thereafter if you bring the brush back. Overall this is a great place for your doggie grooming needs! read more

I have taken my two large dogs to D-Tails twice now, and I'm so glad I found this groomer! The owner is so friendly and you can tell he genuinely cares about animals, which makes me feel much more comfortable leaving my pups in his care. Both times my dogs have come back looking amazing! They get a bath and get trimmed where needed. Both times they were shedding way less too, which is awesome for me. They are now reopen after the COVID-19 stay home for Nevada closure, and they are already getting booked up quick! I booked another appointment for a couple weeks out, so I'd recommend you call and make an appt ASAP! I would recommend D-Tails to anyone, their reviews really tell it all. I am glad I found such a great groomer who takes care of my pups! Thank you D-Tails! read more

D-Tails Pet Spa - The pups always look so nice after their grooming! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

As good as it gets. Tara and Daniel are friendly, welcoming, and experts at grooming any breed of dog. These folks are so friendly, so professional, so efficient that their entire enterprise more closely resembles a well-oiled puppy-beautifying machine. Both Tara and Daniel have been doing this for years, and the care and attention they take with their work is apparent in the fantastic cuts and shampooing they've done for our two dogs for years. They take care to put the animals at ease, they never force or cajole your pet, and you can clearly see that these two good folks are big-time animal lovers. If, like us, your pets are your kids and if you want them cut, bathed, and primped as you'd do it yourself, then take your little guys and gals to D-Tails Pet Spa. We've been taking our dogs to Tara and Daniel for six years now, and we have never had a single complaint about either their work or how they treat our furry family. These are good, attentive, ridiculously talented people, and we refuse to take our pups anywhere else. Ever. read more

Best pet spa in Las Vegas. They show more care for our fur babies. I started with them on day one. It's been 5 years and wouldn't take my baby boy anywhere less. Tara and D really care about our pets. They prove that before, during, and after our appointments. I'm so happy to have found them. Too bad they close early on Fridays and are closed 3 days a week. Visited D-Tails to learn about their operation. I met Dan at reception and Tara at front grooming station. Impressed with the fact they pronounced Shih Tsu correctly keeping open ending on Shih and not ending it with "t". Impressed with clean open facility with hold kennel in front not hidden in back. Impressed grooming occurs in open sight. I explained our pets quirks. Tara greeted him and held him touching sensitive areas. He did not whimper, tremble or squirm to escape. I plan to appoint for full service upon my return to town. g read more

I had been getting mobile grooming since Covid hit and I wanted to find a groomer that was a bit less expensive. A neighbor of mine had gone to D-Tails (she also has a maltipoo) and her pup always looked great so I decided to give them a try. I made an appointment over the phone and the man who answered was so kind and friendly! We got an appointment for that same weekend which was absolutely great and such short notice. When Milo and I arrived, we were kindly greeted by everyone in the salon. I believe the gentleman's name at the reception desk was Daniel, but I did not catch the owner's name. Well I am assuming she is the owner, but I could be wrong! Either way all the staff is amazingly nice! Seems to be a nice friendly/family owned local business. When I picked Milo up, just a bit over an hour later, he looked AMAZING! Perfectly groomed exactly how I asked. They take notes and really care about doing good repeat business. I have been to D-Tails twice with Milo now and I must say they really care about the pups. I am definitely a regular there now :) I highly recommend this local business for your pup! read more

Apparently, we had a communication issue. I asked to keep my pups length, but I didn't mean only trim her paws and shave her tummy. I still expected that they would trim her up all over but on the longest setting, and at the very least clean up her face and hind legs. It feels like a paid 45 dollars plus 20 tip to just get her bathed. She was in her carrier bag when I arrived to pick her up, or I would have noticed and asked that they do more to clean up the back of her legs and her face. The photos are from days later, after her bow was taken out. She looks pretty much the same as before taking her in which is disappointing. Also, something to note: I believe you have to pay extra for a nail trim, because her nails are still long and looked untouched. This was included in the grooming service I had at another place, however, this may not be included here. If it isn't included here, it would be nice if they asked if I wanted it added on since they are noticeably overgrown. I hate giving less than 5 stars, but I've been here twice and she is either shaved down way too low, or left with hair untouched and too long in places. My suggestion is, if you go here, be very clear that you still want your dog trimmed everywhere even if you want the hair longer. Also, specifically ask for a nail trim, because it may not be included. read more

This place is family operated and they are so friendly. Cory has allergies so he has itchy skin from time to time. I always bring him here and he comes out super soft with the itching is gone!! I took my 2 dogs to the groomers for the first time and decided on D-Tails after reading many reviews. When I called to make an appointment I got the answering machine and left a message. To my surprise I got a call back from the owner who answered all my questions. The following week I took the girls in, they were a mess with knots and tangles. I requested wash (which comes with a blueberry facial), haircuts and wanted the dogs teeth cleaned. We were warmly greeted by both the owners, and they were so welcoming to the dogs getting on the floor to introduce themselves to them before taking them back! They explained the whole process and quoted me a reasonable price, I immediately could see they have a passion for their profession and felt at ease with leaving the girls for the first time. When we came to pick up the girls I couldn't even recognize them, their haircuts were so cute! The owner informed me that my dogs were really nervous and that he decided not to try to brush their teeth as they would not be able to do a proper job and he didn't want to charge me for something that they were not able to do correctly! I will definitely be returning! read more

They did a fantastic job, and were super kind and loving towards our fur baby. I've taken my dog to groomers all the time and everytime I pick him up, I always worry about what he would look like. Most times, they butcher the instructions I laid for the groomer and I end up disappointed with how he looks. Not this time!! I am completely in love with my doodle's haircut. They nailed exactly everything I wanted for his haircut and he smelled amazing. The staff who helped us out explained everything they were going to do and even let us know the products they were going to use. They made me feel very comfortable with the process, which is something I don't get to experience often. But, most importantly, they took the time to make my fur ball comfortable. They let him walk around, let him sniff the equipment, and even played with him. Thank you very much for taking your time with both me and my pup. I will definitely come back here and I completely recommend this place! :) read more

Daniel and Tara are the best. I used to send my dog to Petco because I think they are very professional with a good reputation. But finally, I understand it is nothing to do with the brand name for grooming. When I sent my dog to petco, they didn't check my dog's ear well until I switched the place. Daniel is a thoughtful person with professional experience for taking care of your dog; he told me there was a bit yellow inside of my dog's ear. Then I took my dog to see the doctor and got treatment from them. I highly recommend people to come here if you love your dog a lot. Forgive my poor English since I am not a native speaker. I hope you understand what I said. Thank you, Daniel and Tara. See you at 11:30 am. Ray read more

Thankful to find a location that can take care of my corgi's needs. Buns, my corgi can be difficult when it comes to getting his nails trimmed. This location actually files nails instead of just simply cutting it off and potentially traumatizing the dog. His previous groomer would actually fail to trim them & send me home with a groomed dog with long nails. I can tell Buns was comfortable with this location as soon as we dropped him off! The customer service is amazing as well. During pick up, my dog was amazingly soft as they used a honey treatment on him. His nails were also shorter and rounder! You guys did a great job with my dog the first time I took her there and the only reason I did was because they treat older dogs good and have patience with them.
